It’s also centrally located between historic Williamsburg, Busch Gardens, VA Beach, Norfolk Naval Station and more.
One or two dogs are welcome with pre-approval and $100 pet fee.
This beach front condo style home is 1 of a 3 unit property. This particular unit is 2,071 sq. ft. with 3 bedrooms 2 bathrooms on the 2ndd floor of a 3 story building. There is an identical 2,071 sq. ft. 3 bedrooms 2 bathrooms condo unit on the 3rd floor. These units have separate doors connected by 2 flights of stairs. The first floor has a foyer entrance to the stairs and a garage. There is also another separate third unit, a 1 bedroom 2 bathroom beach cottage that is not connected to this building.
This unit is an open floor plan connecting the kitchen, dining room, mini office space and living room with beach views. The kitchen has a large island flanked by two bar stools and it comes fully stocked. It also comes with complimentary coffee, hot cocoa, cream and sugar.
The master bedroom has a king size bed with comfy memory foam mattress and 43 inch Smart TV. The newly updated large master bathroom has a rain fall shower, large bath tub and an extra vanity. The second bedroom is roomy with a queen size bed, memory foam mattress. The third bedroom has a bunk bed with 2 full size memory foam mattresses and a large bean bag to lounge in. The newly renovated hallway bath has a double vanity with stand up shower.

For the security of our guests and the safety of our home and beach amenities, we have external security cameras located at the front door, foyer, and beach pathway.

The property owners are actually the neighbors of this property. They were very accommodating when we arrived ahead of schedule and made sure we had a place to sit out of the heat until our rental was ready. Messages were responded to within minutes. The house was modern and very clean! Probably the cleanest rental we’ve ever had. The street was very safe and perfect for families with children. All the basic necessities were provided. I cannot overstate how perfect the location and the property was. This side of the ocean had calm waters, again perfect for small children and kayaks, which we used extensively.

This property is absolutely beautiful! The owners have spared no expense on ensuring your stay has all the comforts of home. Super clean, well stocked with everything you could need and steps away from a super private beach. The owners were extremely quick to respond to any questions - we will definitely stay here again!

Our girls trip getaway was everything we were hoping for! The condo was very clean and offered every amenity we needed. We enjoyed the private beach, beach chairs and umbrellas. There was more debris on the beach than anticipated but the city did have equipment trying to pick it up. That would not prevent us from returning again to Norfolk. Rick & Merlyn are the perfect host & hostess! We highly recommend this condo!

My family and I recently had the pleasure of staying at your stunning beachfront vacation rental, and I wanted to express our heartfelt thanks for providing such an exceptional experience.
From the moment we arrived, it was clear that every detail had been thoughtfully considered. The property itself is absolutely beautiful, with elegant and comfortable furnishings that made us feel right at home. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds incredibly comfortable, ensuring we all had a restful night's sleep. The bathrooms were stocked with plush towels and high-quality toiletries.
The kitchen was a dream to cook in, fully equipped with everything we needed to prepare meals. We particularly enjoyed the open-concept living area, where we spent our evenings relaxing and taking in the breathtaking ocean views. The board games were great.
The private beach access was a true highlight of our stay. The secluded stretch of beach with its calm waves provided the perfect setting for our daily activities. Our children were thrilled with the variety of beach toys available, from the paddle board, kayaks, chairs, to the sandcastle building kits. We spent hours playing in the sand and surf, knowing we had all the equipment we needed for a fun and safe experience.
In summary, our stay was perfect. Thank you for helping us create lasting memories with our family. Can’t wait to return.

We had a great week staying at Big Blue! The owners checked in on us and made the arrival and departure very easy. They even made a special visit to help latch a stubborn window! Beautiful property and very clean. Easy to get to the beach and attractions. Highly recommend!

The property was quite clean and comfortable. The hosts were friendly and responsive. Very easy access to the beach.
One note on accessibility: The ramp and stairs to the beach need improvement to be safe for folks with ambulatory issues. My dad struggled with it and almost fell, so he couldn't go up and down alone. Normal stairs with railings are fine for him. I brought this up with the hosts. They were sympathetic and said they would work to make it safer for others.

My family stayed at Big Blue for the weekend and it was fabulous! The listing is accurate—the home is clean (spotless!), spacious, comfortable, and steps from the water (with great views from inside). Games (for indoors and outdoors) are provided along with plenty of beach gear. The hosts are friendly and helpful. We were also thrilled to be able to bring our dog—it was wonderful to have quality, pet-friendly accommodations! The whole process for the trip was seamless and we look forward to visiting again—hopefully soon!

The unit was spotless when we arrived and smelt great! Pictures are very accurate and owners very accommodating! Literally steps from the beach which was great for our 5 and 6 year olds. The location of the home gives a private beach feel. Would 100% stay again!

Very nice property. Our only suggestions would be having a small kitchen vacuum available to clean all the sand. Property was very clean and decorated very nicely. Owners are always available and respond promptly with any questions. We all enjoyed our time on the beach and loved that it was just us on the beach most of the time . Would definitely go back again!

The house was just as described and very large. It had all the comforts of home and very comfy beds. Being right on the beach was great and having beach supplies onsite made packing much easier. The home was very clean and loved that there was coffee and snacks. The owners were great to work with and got back to me very quickly. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful 5 days at this beautiful beach house with a great view. We travel quarterly and love to stay in new places and rarely find one right on the beach, this was literally steps from the private gorgeous beach. We had a wonderful week with our family. Would highly recommend! It was also nice to meet the owner. 😀

Big Blue is a well designed modern unit with a large kitchen and and open feel. The furniture is of good quality and the overall feel is welcoming. The location serves as a great base of attractions in Williamsburg, Norfolk and VA beach. Watching the ships cross the bay from the dinning room table was a nice treat.

Beautiful home right on the beach. Spacious and well furnished. If this place had an air fryer and some gym equipment, it would be perfect. Also, there's only 1 TV. Other than that, no complaints. I would definitely book again.

This Big Blue Getaway on the Bay is the relaxing and recharging experience you are hoping for when planning a beach vacation with your family (in our case, six people) and pet(s). Our host's thoughtfulness and empathy shine through a thousand tiny details in and around the property. They have created a space that goes above and beyond for their guests with added amenities, including beach equipment, pet-friendly areas outside, games in the kitchen, very comfortable beds, and a guest book with tips about the local scene. The design of the space was immaculately clean and bright, creating an atmosphere of relaxation and luxury. Our family had a marvelous time that we plan to experience again in future visits!

We really liked the location, the beach was perfect and not crowded at all. We also liked the fact that it had very easy access to the beach. The owners left a guide for places to eat which was very helpful, especially as it was organized by distance (we highly recommend Jessy's Taqueria!). The furniture and decorations were great, we even purchased the "fuzzy" chair when we arrived back home.
We were able to meet the owners during our stay, they were very friendly and helpful. During a bad thunderstorm storm the entire area lost power and they made sure we had portable lanterns and chargers for our phones.
We definitely plan on staying here again in the future.

Our stay at Big Blue on the Bay (2nd floor) exceeded all expectations. From the calming, gorgeous, well-appointed living space with special touches, to the peaceful, private beach just steps from the house, this property is outstanding. Fabulous to have full beach gear included as well. Our hosts Rick & Merlyn couldn't have been more gracious and helpful. We loved getting to know them. We're already talking about coming back. Stop looking and book this property!!
The property and its location were stunning! My kids jumped up and down when they ran through the place when we first arrived. The beach is clean, private, beautiful. They have everything you need and everything is kept spotless. They provided beach chairs, beach toys, floats, etc. so we didn’t have to bring all of this with us on our trip. Very convenient. I would highly recommend this and I would definitely go back! Thank you to the property owners and host for a great experience and always being available for questions.

It was a wonderful experience. The place was beautiful and just as pictured! It was right on the beach. It was stocked with everything we needed as a home away from home. We basically had the whole beach to ourselves too. The owners, Rick and Merlyn, were so nice and accommodating to anything we needed. We would definitely stay here again. Five star!
