My goodness, what to say... the stay at the Ark was FABULOUS! It is a gorgeous apartment with three very comfortable bedrooms and the most amazing view of the Firth of Fourth. I stayed with my husband and in-laws and we absolutely loved it. The place is a quaint seaside apartment/cottage type place that reminds me of the houses we've stay in at the Outer Banks in North Carolina. The neighborhood was quiet and the town of Portobello was so close with wonderful restaurants, shops and grocery stores. It's about 20 min from the city centre and Edinburgh Castle, a very easy drive. The apartment itself has 4 bathrooms, 3 full and 1 half. My husband and I stayed in the Master bedroom that has the jacuzzi tub, though we didn't use it. Too tired after walking around Edinburgh. But, it has a fancy shower and body blower that we loved. My only regret is that we stayed in March when it's cold. I bed July in this apartment is out of this world. I would definitely go back and shh, don't tell my husband, but am already planning on it! I would recommend this place to anyone. Truly wonderful!

Four of us did a 2 week trip to Scotland. The first 9 days we had a private guide touring the Highlands, Isle of Skye, Glencoe and many parts of Scotland. We finished in Edinburgh and chose to stay outside of Edinburgh renting this property rather than staying in the city. From booking on, including a call because of part of the electricity going out while there, the service was as prompt as you could want. House lovely, clean, amazing views of the Firth and beautiful sunsets. A short walk to Portobello and easy by bus or taxi to get into Edinburgh. We stayed here 6 nights and stay could not have been better.

This apartment was ideal for us. The views of the Firth of Forth were amazing. The only downside is that it is about a 20-minute drive to downtown Edinburgh. Otherwise, if you are looking for a peaceful stay with amazing views, this place is perfect!

Excellent property, very well equipped, fantastic views over the Forth. Very good location, frequent buses, very easy to get into Edinburgh. We had a wonderful week and would happily go back to the Ark. The company responded very quickly to resolve a problem with the door lock, good communication from them

Lovely house with great views and in fantastic location. Shirt walk one way to portobello and some great bagels or fish and chips and small lovely shops or the other way to musselborogh and beat bakery and cafe (seriously good bread and vegan cakes). The 26 bus is frequent and close and is short ride to Edinburgh where we took advantage of this beautiful and fantastic city. Just a few let downs the jacuzzi didn’t work and some of the small touches not great but not enough to spoil anything

The property had everything we needed for a week's break. Easy access to Edinburgh and beyond. Loved the locality between Portobello and Musselburgh, we could walk to both. We would highly recommend the apartment.
