About this apartment rental
Enjoy your vacation in the center of the action in our second floor 2 bedroom apartment in downtown Bar Harbor. Renovated in August of 2021 this charming apartment has 2 good sized bedrooms, a queen bed in one, and a king in the other. A family room with seating for 6 and Kitchen/Dining area with fridge, dishwasher, range and microwave. The bathroom has a new glass door shower and a large washer/dryer. All the floors have been recently redone, the hall, kitchen and living room have refinished wood floors, the bathroom and bedrooms have wood look vinyl floors.
The apartment entrance is in the back of a storefront location and across from 4 townhouses. So even though you are in the center of town it has a residential feel. Walk out on to Cottage Street and get fresh baked goods next store or dine in one of the popular restaurants across the street. You can take a short walk up Cottage Street and have breakfast at the famous Jordan's Restaurant, known for their Blueberry pancakes!
Head down Cottage Street to visit the many shops and a little further down to reach Agamont Park and the town pier. Go up one of the side streets and reach more stores and restaurants including one of our favorites, Cafe This Way, off of Mt Desert Street. Heading down Mt Desert is the Village Green in the center of town where the summer concerts are performed. The Island Explorer free bus service (runs in season) leaves from the Village Green and takes you into Acadia National Park.

Great week long stay for our family of four. Location of the unit is amazing. Quick walk to anything & quick drive to Acadia! Parking a huge plus when coming back from a day of hiking. Unit is very well equipped.
We have two teenage boys who refused to share a bed so the pullout couch came in very handy. Layout of the unit is a little odd (no bad, just odd) - the living room was obviously a bedroom at some point because it has a door that closes/locks. My only tiny feedback would be that a photo that somehow shows the layout would be a nice addition to the listing.

We enjoyed our stay, and liked that the place was walkable to the downtown area. The living area was clean and comfortable. Off street private parking was a plus. Great place to stay.

I stumbled upon this gem while browsing for places to stay for a quick get away over Easter weekend. I'm so glad I found it! It was the perfect spot for my husband and I to enjoy our 20th anniversary. It is SUPER clean and has the most adorable decor (I LOVE the chairs in the living room!) The host is extremely responsive and has everything supplied for you to make the most of your vacation. The location is superior. We are repeat visitors and this is the best location we've stayed at yet. So close to all the great shops and restaurants, and the grocery store is across the street. We will definitely be back for our next trip :)

We chose this property because of proximity to town and wanting good roads without snow.
Very- very little open in town and we were disappointed about that.
Old house but very well updated. We had family come join us on the weekend and second bedroom was nice.
Our only problem was not enough hot water for showers.

Very clean and bright, perfect location to walk anywhere downtown. We hiked every day and were happy to relax here most nights- beds were very comfortable and water pressure was great too. Everything you need to cook is there, and Hannaford’s is close so shopping is easy.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! The apartment was wonderful and the location was PERFECT right in the heart of downtown Bar Harbor! It is super convenient for walking to restaurants, shops, and the harbor! It is super convenient for exploring Acadia National Park and a really cozy and clean place to come home to after a day of hiking. It comes with two free parking spots so you don’t have to search for or pay for parking to explore the town! It is great for families to spread out with two bedrooms, a bathroom, living room, and kitchen. It had everything we could have needed during our stay. We will stay here again the next time we come!

The apartment was in a great location for shops, restaurants, bike hire and accessing Arcadia. It was a good size, well equipped and comfortable.

You're truly in the middle of the action in downtown Bar Harbor and just a few minutes from Acadia. Home was very spacious with everything you need. Very clean. As others have pointed out, pictures do not do this place justice. Hope to return soon.

Having never been to Bar Harbor before, we could not have picked a better location. Everything in the town is an easy walk from this apartment. All week we watched other people jockey for parking spaces and continually feeding the meters ... but not us. And there is a lovely cafe right next to this apartment where we spent most mornings having coffee and pastries. We'll be back. Oh, and BTW, the apartment owner is super nice and quick to respond. I have no complaints, but I have just a couple suggestions. It would be nice to have an ice-maker in the freezer. And the shower is really a challenge for "the big guys". But neither of those were showstoppers for us. Thanks again.

The place was awesome. It's close/walkable to all of Bar Harbor. Not having to mess with parking was so nice. The condo was perfect for our family of four. I can't think of anything to critique. The home was clean and comfortable. We would totally come back.

Spacious apartment with all amenities and air conditioning! Amazing location, walking distance to everything in Bar Harbor.

Very comfortable accommodations, convenient to everything in Bar Harbor. Kitchen was well stocked for preparing meals on our own. We will return!

I'd say the photos undersell the place. High ceilings make the room pictures look bare but instead it feels spacious. Good room layout and everything was clean. Location is perfect - walk to everything in town, even with small kids. Quiet even though you're in the middle of everything. Parking included so you don't fight that every day, because street parking fills up fast in the summer.

literally can walk anywhere from this location. we did have a little difficulty in knowing exactly where to park at first, but once we read the directions a few times, we made it happen. we did come a little earlier than when the season started so a few places were still closed. so loved that we were able to cook majority of the time and also get lobsters from the local store where they cook it for you in just a few mintues! (only unfortunate thing is there is no vent so had to leave the window open most of the time). but the rooms were plenty big and stayed perfectly warm and enough seating as well to watch tv. loved that next door was a coffee shop and just a few short minutes to Acadia. would definitely stay here again if we make the trek out there

The photos don't depict just how spacious this apartment is. I spent Easter weekend here with my two nieces and we really were impressed. The beds are very comfortable, the washer and dryer are very convenient, and the decor is minimal and charming. There is a lot of natural light, which coupled with the color scheme make the unit bright and cheerful. The location is perfect - everything we wanted to do in town was a short walk away and we were a nine minute drive from the Sand Beach entrance of Acadia. The owners obviously put a lot of thought into this space and provide a laundry basket, folding chairs, plenty of bath linens, hand soap in the bathroom and kitchen, cleaning supplies (just in case), and paper goods. We had everything we needed to prepare a few quick meals in the kitchen. I have rented multiple properties in Bar Harbor, and this ranks number one my list. If I am fortunate enough to return during the hotter months, having the mini splits in the bedrooms and living room will be a bonus.

We had a great stay in early April here. Great location with an easy walk to town. Enough space for our family of four although we spent most of our days out and about. Highly recommend A Slice of Eden right next door for breakfast (get the sausage and biscuit if available, or a delicious breakfast sammie, or the lox, caper, and red onion cream cheese on a bagel). Atlantic Brewing Company is a stone's throw and a great place to hang (the 11 year old loved the ping pong table). Highly recommend the off season and the relaxed pace around town. While there were limited options by way of restaurants, it was great to be in Acadia and downtown Bar Harbor without the typical summer crowd.
Thank you for a lovely stay!

This stay was perfect for our time in Acadia. We loved how close it was to all the shops and enjoyed taking walks along the harbor from our apartment. The apartment was very spacious and clean. Equipped with everything you would need to have your own lobster boil. The beds were very comfortable as well! We would definitely opt to stay here again in the future!

It's a good apartment in a good location. You can walk easily to many restaurants, a grocery store, and the Island Explorer shuttle.

Great location; very clean; comfortable bed; had everything we needed including kitchen/household supplies. Perfect for our needs, as we explored the beautiful Acadia National Park and walking through downtown Bar Harbor every day of the week. If was a great place to relax at the end of our eventful days. It was also quiet at night, despite being just minutes’ walking distance from all the Bar Harbor activity.

We have vacationed in Bar Harbor many times over the past 25 years or so, and we've rented many different properties. This was the first time we visited as empty-nesters and this apartment is our new favorite -- it was absolutely perfect for us. The apartment was spotless, well-stocked, and so convenient to everything in town and on Mount Desert Island. We will come back!

This was out first trip to Bar Harbor and we didn't realize how amazing this location was when we booked. You walk out the door and you're at restaurants, stores and ice cream shops in minutes! The entrance to Acadia is SO close. It's easy to go hiking then return home for lunch or a snack and get back in the park in the afternoon. The condo is spacious and comfortable. The rooms have a lot of separation which is nice if you have a night owl or early riser. We were very happy with this condo and would definitely stay here again.

Everything you need, conveniently close
Our family was doing a car-free trip to see Acadia, making use of the Island Explorer. This rental condo is close to the Village Green and to the supermarket, and is at a great location for excursions and the restaurants. This place had everything we wanted, for a very reasonable price.

Location, Location, Location!
The property is comfortable, quaint, and everything we needed but the biggest thing it has going for it is it’s location. Very easy walk to everything Bar Harbor has to offer. You don’t realize what a big deal this is until you go and see what a nightmare the traffic/parking are. We were happy to park our car behind the unit and leave it there for most of the vacation. You could easily take a shuttle from the airport and not even need to rent a car. The park’s shuttle can get you most anywhere you want to go within the park. I wouldn’t hesitate staying in this unit again.

It was perfect for us. I wish there were a balcony or patio, but it wasn't promised so no disappointment there. Location is the absolute MOST fantastic! Kitchen was very workable, shower was nice, beds perfectly fine, instructions about how to use things clear, etc. I would most definitely come again.

We stayed 4 nights in early October. It was my husband and I along with our two teenage boys. The apartment was roomy and clean. But it really is the location that was the best. It's right beside a coffee place and a short walk to the hustle of downtown. Would highly recommend and plan to come back ourselves!
