We had a great stay at this property in Bar Harbor! You can't beat the location - we were able to walk to everywhere we wanted to go in town. There's also a pizza place next door and a cute breakfast place right across the street. As other reviewers have said, the property is actually two separate apartments, which worked out fine for us. It was so nice to have a bathroom for each bedroom. It's clearly an older property, but it has been nicely updated and has a lot of charm. As a side note, the owner was particularly kind to us when we thought we might have to reschedule. We appreciated that so much.

The house was lovely, very walkable to many things. It was a little over half a mile to the main shopping area of downtown Bar Harbor and just a short walk to a grocery store. Having reserved parking spots was a huge plus. The two separate units worked well for our group. Some of the reviews made it sound like you had to go outdoors to get from one unit to the next---the staircase was indoors, just outside the main door to each unit. There were also tons of steps from room to room (like a step up into a bathroom or a step down into a bedroom, or a big threshhold to step over into the kitchen, etc.) so it would be difficult to maneuver if there are mobility issues. Having a huge dining table was nice. We could seat 11 people at the table and still had space for a jigsaw puzzle at one end. The lightswitches in the house were bizarro---the switches weren't near the light they turned on, but we sort of figured it out. The kitchen utensils weren't great. Barely enough silverware and sort of cheap/random spatulas and things, but adequate for a rental. The listing says there is a barbecue grill, but there isn't. Overall, my family and I really thought this was a great house and met all our vacation needs. I would definitely stay here again if I ever return to Bar Harbor.

This property worked well for our group - two families vacationing together comprised of adults and teens. It’s basically renting two separate apartments on the 2nd/3rd floor of the building. The first floor has a condo as well that is not part of the rental but also has a door inside the building. Basically it is an old house that had been converted into three apartments so it functions like an apartment building with a common door and then each apartment has a door that locks with a keypad deadbolt and a regular locking door knob. The less secure part is that unlike an apartment building, the front door is just a regular door and doesn’t lock automatically on entry/exit so our group just took to locking it at night (all apartments have a key that can unlock the front door). The rentals are all also connected by a back staircase that our group locked - it’s a common back staircase that runs from first to theirs floor with each apartment having a door to the staircase. We locked the the common back door and locked all the doors to that back staircase. We have teenagers so the overall set up worked for us as the adults took the 2nd floor and the teens took the 3rd floor, each floor locked their doors at night and it worked well for our families. The building is clean, apartments well stocked, clean and tidy, parking was easy (in the paint store lot next to the rental) and we loved the location- walkable to downtown, grocery store, coffee shops, etc. Our group loved it!

We had a wonderful week at this property. There were two families staying in the second and third floor. Plenty of room for everyone, great to have a bathroom for each bedroom. Only issue we had was with the connection between the two floors. The two floors are connected with two stairwells - both of which are outside of the unit itself. So in order to lock the doors at night, you isolate the two floors. So for those traveling with small children, which we were, we needed to be sure parents were on the same levels. We made it work, but just be aware. That put one set of adults in the third floor queen room - with all the kids between the other two rooms on that floor. Overall, we had a great time. House has everything you need and is in a great location. About a 10 minute walk for our family to the center of town.

Bar Harbor
Great property very close to the park. Within walking distance to most of what BH has to offer. Had a great time!! ONLY suggestion would be that given the age of the property it would be helpful to label the light switches as many don't make sense.

Great location but not quite as described and not responsive
The unit is in a great location within walking distance to all there is to see and do in Bar Harbor, and it was very clean upon getting there. However, some things were not quite as described. We had to stop at a hotel in Bar Harbor to get the keys to the units, and the parking they told us to park in was full when we drove to the house. When I called, the hotel workers were not quite sure what to tell me, so they had to call me back. In the meantime, my family parked our vehicle on the street and paid for parking for an hour. They called us back and told us to take down the rope to the parking lot of a vacant paint store next door and park there. Taking a rope up and down to come and go was not ideal. Upon entering the unit, we came to realize that the second and third floors are completely separate apartments, and you need to lock the front doors at night unless you want your units open to anyone who comes in the house. Again, not ideal with younger kids, so parents will need to stay in the queen on the third floor, not in one of the king masters if the kids need access to their parents in the middle of the night. We figured out the living situation, but we then came to realize that the attached bath to the queen bedroom had two light bulbs out, which made it too dark to shower there unless you opened the blinds on the window (which looked out towards a parking lot). Seven additional light bulbs were out in the third floor unit. We immediately messaged the owner about this and the fact that we had no wifi. A gentleman did call about the wifi, and it worked on the third day, but the owner, Nichole, never repsonded, and no one came to replace any light bulbs. I took my shower supplies and clothes all the way down the hall to the twin bedroom bathroom in order to have a lit bathroom and somewhere to put my clothes. We again reached out to the owner near the end of our stay but again have heard nothing. It's been 7 days......

Good location
We rented 3 houses and the hosts of this one were by far the least responsive. The place is actually 2 flats that I assume can be rented separately. There are loads of new bathrooms and the location is convenient. The parking is in a lot next door which was usually almost full. We needed parking for 2 cars and were able to get it. The entrance is in the back off a trashy alley next to a derelict building which was a little disconcerting. If you like to cook this place has a fabulous kitchen.

Family gathering
The location is perfect! A .5 miles walk from the sweet town of Bar Harbor. Close enough to get to everything but far enough away to be quite.
We celebrated two 80th birthdays. Family came from all of the country

Perfect!
We loved our place! It was perfect for our family of 8. And room for even more! The location was within walking distance of places to eat and the town. The accommodations were clean with a lot of room to gather as a family. Even though there were only 8 of us, we used almost every room eating, paying games, lounging inside and out, doing puzzles and, of course, sleeping! If we come back to Bar Harbor we would stay here!

Agamont Townhouse
Great location to walk to everything in Bar Harbor. Free parking was key.
We rented two units and had easy access to both, but know there are only stairs, no elevator.
Units are updated with great kitchens and plenty of bathrooms. We had a wonderful stay.

Great Group Stay
We had a great time while at the Agamont House. It was very spacious. Each area had a different atmosphere and each sleeping area had a private bathroom. I would definitely recommend staying again with a large group of people. Plan on cooking while you are there. The kitchen on the second floor is truly amazing.

Spacious, clean, great location for big gatherings
The house was very spacious, clean and amazing to fit all our friends. It was right in the middle of restaurants, grocery stores, gas station. Restaurants are all at walking distance. We took the two storey home. It had a full fleged kitchen with all the utensils. Each floor had its own kitchen. The dining table was huge and good for a big party. Maybe they can have some more couches in the living room so everyone could sit and chat. The check-in instructions were also missing from the PDF received (upon request).

Family and friend outing
This place was phenomenal. We had 6 adult with 5 teens. Big plus was the large kitchen, 5 bathrooms, enormous dining room, and additional living space. It was easy to separate the 5 teens upstairs in their living room while parents were downstairs relaxing. Location was right in downtown Bar Harbor. Walking distance to restaurants. Had option to eat out or cook in. If you have a large gathering with multi families, this is the place to stay
