The perfect traditional stay away from the buzz of the city life. The private onsen and dinner was one of our highlights. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Amenities are well kept and spacious.
Couldn’t complain about anything

We stayed at Hakone for one night. I definitely recommend getting dinner or breakfast. There is a lot of food, so don't eat anything too filling beforehand! It was amazing how much food was perfectly prepped for us when we got to the table it was already set.
We got the privateonsen reserved when we checked in. Even though we only booked one room, they reserved 2 onsen rooms because we had 2 couples and tattoos were ok. There is a private changing room before you enter. The indoor and connecting outdoor onsen is really nice! The yukata and toiletries bag they provided is very thoughtful as well.
The dinner time was a bit early like 5pm so we couldn't eat all of the food. Another thing to consider is distance to travel, there is a bus stop nearby but it's still 30 mins from the main town area. There are things to do nearby but we spent lots of time travelling on bus, which is the main way of travelling in Hakone.

Ottimo ryokan. Camera spaziosa con possibilità di regolarsi la temperatura con il condizionatore.
L'onsen privato è stupendo. Staff super gentile e disponibile. Cena e colazione ottime.
Colazione per me fin troppo abbondante. Aggiungerei anche qualche opzione dolce in più.
Siamo stati nel week end e c'era davvero molto traffico.

The facility was amazing. Our room was spacious and clean. We had both dinner and breakfast. Lots of variety was served and we enjoyed the taste and quality. Both onsens were great and the 1hr time slot is plenty of time. Staff were also friendly.
The location is far from main areas of restaurants etc.

Amazing Ryokan with delicious food. We spent the night here with 3 friends and appreciated the calm, how beautiful the room was and how relaxing the Onsen was

Stuff was very kind and helped to arrange the dinner compromises even though we were arriving quite late. Great relaxing onsen, which you can use privately. The traditional rooms are light and spacy enough. You can enjoy tasty food in different varieties, not only from the taste, but also with your eyes! The food looks beautiful!
Nothing in particular

Very comfortable futon and cosy japanese style room with yukata. Private onsen is nice if you value privacy.

There was one member of the staff (the man working in the evening) who significantly impacted my stay in a negative way. Despite some positive aspects, I cannot overlook the disappointing encounters I had with this particular staff member.
He was rude, not helpful and disrespectful. The hotel is pretty isolated from everything so you will need help from the personal and this specific one was a nightmare.
In the opposite, the lady (working in the morning) was very helpful and respectful.
Unfortunately I don't recommend and we will not come here again if this guy is still around.

staff went above and beyond to ensure a wonderful stay for us. we loved the traditional interior design, the relaxing times in the onsen and the breakfasts/dinners were absolutely incredible. would go back just so I could eat those again! truly, truly a magical place

Lovely private onsen, excellent Japanese food
Rooms were a little austere and dowdy. Location not the best - on a bus route but apart from a couple of large hotels not much else in the area.

Transportation: 1. Takes you about 1 hour from Odawara station, with the bus (T 桃園台線) to the stop 仙石原文化センター. Check the bus timetable on https://www.hakonenavi.jp/transportation/station/
Extra info: Would be convenient for travellers if purchase Hakone Freepass (3 days) or Fuji Hakone Pass (3 days) in advance from Odakyu website. We used Fuji Hakone Pass (since we were going to Fuji the next day) and did not need to pay any extra fee when taking the buses and other transportation needed.
Room 101: downstairs, next to the two private Onsens. Large, and very clean.
Private onsens: free to book during check-in, can book one more on the next morning. Love the outdoor onsen, people with tattoos would not get rejected!!
Dinner and Breakfast: exceptional!! Better enjoy the dinner after the onsen.
Would need to confirm you would have dinner that night between 5-6 pm (dinner at 7 pm), need to be back early for this one thing.

Wonderful experience! If you are looking for a traditional, clean, and a stay with a delicious meal, this is the place to stay. My husband and I did a one night stay at this beautiful Ryokan and enjoyed a half board stay which included dinner and breakfast. I cannot tell you enough how GREAT the meal was. It is a colorful array of plates with the most exquisite food selections all brought to your beautiful adorned table. Additionally, very convenient after a long travel day through the mountains, your body will thank you! The front desk and dining personnel were wonderful hosts. The onsen is fantastic, very clean, private for your use. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

The structure is well organised and well maintained. The room was spacious, bathroom a bit tight tho.
The amenities were amazing, showing a lot of care from the owners that we really appreciate.
The Onsen itself while it might not be visually stunning is relaxing and absolutely lovely to spend time in.
Breakfast was amazing! F
antastic food, great service and lovely visuals.
Bath was a bit small and time schedule is very tight, at times a bit too tight but nothing that negatively impacted our stay.

The Kaiseki dinner and breakfast were really good. the private onsen was wonderful and the staff and room were fabulous. couldn’t ask for more from a traditional Japanese Ryokan.
a bit challenging to get to by bus but near the Togendai station and Lake Ashi once you get there.

Nice and confortable room. Beautiful private onsen. Good food.
Only drinks available with dinner were beer and whisky. No tea could be ordered for breakfast. For meals, guests are seated next to each other in a row facing the wall, which is not so pleasant.

Private onsen that could be visited with mixed genders, delicious breakfast and great service, biscuits/tea/coffee in the room, convenient room layout, friendly staff, good location - convenient to see many sights in Hakone
Room was really bright at night (no curtains), bathroom was very small (bath tub hard to get in and out)
3.5 / 5.0
Japanese style room ,
there is no view in the onsen
