Great property for any visit to Louisville. 4 of us stayed for four days in August as part of a guys' golf trip to the region. The house was very comfortable and well decorated. Plenty of space for us 4 We were all impressed by the warm feel inside and the great outdoor sitting area in the backyard. It was very clear that the owners take great pride in making their guests feel welcome. That was also evident in the truly first class check-in instructions and great communication in general. If you're visiting Louisville, consider this property as your home base.

This was our first trip to Louisville. The host/hostess offered great suggestions on places to eat/drink and places to visit. The historical home was beautifully remodeled and stocked with the essentials. Would recommend for a family or group of friends.

We were in Louisville for almost two weeks for a series of basketball tournaments at the nearby Expo Center. The house was perfect - beautifully decorated, clean, great location - felt like a home away from home. The owner was quickly responsive to questions and inquiries. We would stay here again anytime!

Matt and Melissa were very informative and helpful, ensuring we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay in Louisville. The property is absolutely amazing! A beautiful comfortable home with high end finishes worked into a historic building. The right mix of comfy and luxury. Very well situated in a nice quiet neighborhood, and a great launching point to explore the town. I couldn’t ask for more, and it will be our place to go whenever we visit the area.

We came to the Bourbon Trail to celebrate our son’s 21st bday. The owner was incredibly helpful with local entertainment and food. There were 8 of us. We had plenty of space. The kitchen was a gathering place and fully equipped for large meals. The location was close to all downtown distilleries and restaurants. We will be back!

The house is decorated so nicely with lots of areas to gather. The location is fantastic with it being only a couple of miles from all of the downtown distilleries, restaurants and shopping. The owner was also very responsive. My husband and I stayed with our grown children and we loved hanging out in the backyard to watch the fireflies. Highly recommend this house!

The house was great to stay and was plenty big for us. Close enough for us to the downtown area and other areas. Matt and Melissa are great and were able to give us a lot of recommendations for places to go and things to do. Would highly recommend staying here for anyone looking to stay in the area.

One of the best properties I’ve ever stayed at. Matt was communicative, had some great food/drink place recommendations, the instructions on check in and check out were clear and concise. We felt very welcome. The property was insanely gorgeous, decorated to perfection and was very comfortable for the 6 of us during our stay. We plan to rent it the next time we are in Louisville.

this is a beautifully renovated home convenient to town and the highways to surround areas. Super close to the airport.
4 old friends shared the space for four nights and we each at our own room there's plenty of space to unpack. 2 1/2 bath was just right for us...no bumping into each other, day or night.
Very comfortable beds, ridiculously large, modern near – commercial quality kitchen. The two large sitting areas each have a TV and lots of comfortable seating. bedrooms all have TVs as well.
Nice front porch for sitting and reading; big backyard with a fire pit, ample seating, and space.
Last but not least, there's a reason Matt and Melissa are super host. Before, during and after our stay they were accommodating, and communication was nearly instantaneous.

My family and I loved staying at this property. Owners were super responsive and helpful. 7 of us came for a trip to experience Louisville, Churchill Downs, and all of the surrounding distilleries. Awesome location to do everything we wanted to do. The house itself is extremely clean, well-kept and has all the amenities you need. We ended up spending more time at the property than we expected because it was that comfortable.
We hope to come back to this property in the future, and thanks to the owners for an amazing stay!

Everything was great! The furniture was comfortable and the linens smelled clean. The host was great and communication couldn’t have been better. The check out process was super easy and they had fresh baked cookies for us at check in. Would definitely stay here again!

I cannot say enough good things about this house! The design, the location, the property owner’s hospitality…it has it all. We stayed here to visit Louisville for a few days and travel to the Ark Encounter for a day. Matt was more than helpful with questions about the surrounding area, restaurants, and things to do. If we ever make it to the Derby, this is where we will stay. Don’t hesitate to book!

This house worked great for my husband, our three grown children and me. The bedrooms were spacious, and there was plenty of room in the house to spread out. Kitchen very well equipped and nice appliances. Lots of special little touches, such as cut flowers around the house, fresh coffee and cookies for our arrival, nice products (e.g., toilet paper, toiletries). Nice backyard with fire pit, but we didn't use it. Everywhere we wanted to go was about 10 minutes away, so do need a car/transporation service. However, it was easy to get places and an Uber was never more than about 10 minutes away. Street parking was easy, and there is also a parking pad at the back of the lot we could have used. Very nice stay! Would highly recommend.

Beautifully restored character home! Kitchen is amazing and well equipped. We loved the proximity to downtown & all that Louisville has to offer. Backyard was great for an evening fire & relaxing at the end of the day.

This home was soooo beautiful. My family agreed that we want to book this home every time we come to Louisville. It really looks just like the pictures but even better in person. This was spacious enough for everyone. We even utilized the air mattresses. The fire pit is nice I wish we would have done a bonfire.

We had 4 couples together for a weekend getaway to attend Keeneland and do the Bourbon Trail. And we had the opportunity to have the Arts fair at the same time. House is very nice, kitchen well stocked, fire pit was perfect at night. The two TVs were great to watch two different games. Loved it!!

My friends and I had a great stay here for our long weekend get-together. The house itself was close to everything and was recently renovated. It was very spacious and we thought the updates / décor were well done. The backyard was a great place to sit in the evenings. The neighborhood itself is residential and was described by one of our drivers as "up-and-coming." That is probably as fair a representation as you'll get. It is a neighborhood that stretches back over a hundred years and that has left it with quite the mix of houses - both well maintained and updated like this one, and others yet to undergo needed updates. We never felt unsafe but I can imagine others might be less comfortable walking around. Not that you would need to as you are a short drive or uber ride to most things. Owner was responsive and checkout asks were very reasonable. All in all, I highly recommend for anyone looking to stay in Louisville.

It was extremely clean and well appointed, and only a very short drive from most everything there is to see & do in Louisville. Matt was an exceptional host. He was quick to respond with any and all questions, and laid out very nice, detailed recommendations for things to do and places to visit. I highly recommend this property!!

In the area to participate in a youth baseball tournament in Elizabethtown and used this house as our home base for two families. It worked out really well. Since we were in town for an entire week, we didn't want hotel rooms - we wanted space where we could spread out. This home was wonderful for our needs - beautifully redone with all the conveniences. Lots of space - the kitchen came in handy so we didn't have to eat all of our meals out. Definitely used the washer and dryer. :)
There was even an air mattress to help breakup siblings that didn't want to sleep in the same bed. The backyard provided extra space for kids to get some energy out and in the evenings it was filled with fireflies!!! SO FUN!
And the location worked out well so that we could easily explore the sites in Louisville too! Churchill Downs, Louisville Slugger Museum, and the University. The only thing we really missed out on was Whiskey Row...but it was all right there! - too many kid activities - so sad.
It's in a historic neighborhood and I enjoyed the charm. Hosts were awesome! On top of everything. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others.

5 of us loved the house, very comfortable and well equipped, especially the kitchen. We ate in one night, used the grill and enjoyed drinks in the nice bourbon glassware. Good air conditioning and the house was quiet as well. A plus rating, great for a group of friends touring Louisville area.

We absolutely loved staying in this historic home for our annual girls trip!! Mathew & Melissa have done an amazing job with this house - plenty of space, comfortables beds and great bathrooms, and a fabulous large kitchen and dining area! This property was in a perfect location to get to downtown Louisville happenings and to Churchill Downs for racing. Also easy to get out of the the city to distilleries, Property was nicely updated old Louisville brick home with great indoor and outdoor spaces. We would return again on a trip to the area!

We stayed at the property with extended family while we were in town for our daughters graduation. The property was perfect! It was updated and nicely furnished with an amazing kitchen and two living areas. We loved the deck, furniture and bistro lights in the back yard as well as the big front porch with seating. We will definitely consider it when visiting Louisville again to visit our son who will start college in the fall.
