The lodge is located right in the park and it's very convenient for a visit to the Mayan ruins. We liked the menu in the realstaurant a lot - they had a lot of options (including healthy ones) and the food was good.
The rooms have no air condition so it gets really hot. The pool could need some maintenance. And there should be more chairs by the pool, it was impossible for us to find a place to sit. The staff is very unflexible and sometimes not very friendly. If you ask for the minir change (e.g. having the shrimps grilles instead of fried), they will just say no.

Superb place in brilliant location. Food very good. Also great communication prior to trip, always fast with responses.

Great location and with a pool
The staff was extremely slow, food was taking ages to be served and regular mistakes made to the dishes. Pasta was literarily soaking in pesto oil, fries were cold 2 in a row and a slightly spicy dish was inedible sooo spicy by mistake.
The receptionists speak very limited English so our Spanish really helped in communication

Location is excellent
It is very expensive and no value for money. Staff is slow and makes mistakes. The guide offered by hotel is not really good so i wish i had gone to Tikal without him.

What I liked - Pool, cleaning staff and restaurant staff were wonderful.
What I didn’t like…
1) Manager was awful. Tried over charging me $63 US per night after a glitch with Booking .com after changing from 3-2 nights. Bookings.com even messaged on my behalf asking for the original price of $111 to be honoured instead of $173.
Still working on getting refunded the amount over charged.
See previous.
1) wifi doesn’t work 95% of the time.
2) no AC super hot rooms with one slow fan
3)beds were awful way to soft and hammock like

Wifi did not work but it was not a big deal.

The location is amazing. Right at the entrance of the park, in the jungle.
The food at the hotel could have been better, faster and not as limited.

Good location and food
No air conditioner, too hot in the night

It is in the most beautiful position surrounded by jungle, and the rooms and bathroom are beautiful.
It was a very hot night and the fan did nothing - so we slept very little and were soaked in sweat all night.

great location. situated next to the entrance of the park.
wonderful, helpful staff!
some confusion about the beginning of the guided tour. poor communication.
hotel guide spoke excellent English, but gave the tour 90% in Spanish. poor explanations

I loved how it is within the jungle and so close to the ruins. the staff was great!
there was nothing we didn’t like.
6.0
Very well located right next to the entrance to the park, in the middle of the jungle. Lots of wildlife spotted right around the property. Excellent and very helpful staff and a great restaurant on site. Loved the outdoor space - jacuzzi and the outdoor shower!
The cabanas are doubles, with paper thin walls. We could hear everything next door, virtually like if it was in our own apartment, so if anyone is coming here in hope to enjoy a good night rest please think about taking some countermeasures.

very clean but much too fancy for locale and. site
Very poor food, very poor service in dining room, poor guide

Great location directly at the entrance to the Tikal NP, excellent Restaurant, good Shuttle
There was some confusion if the 6pm Shuttle would allow us to catch our 8pm flight; to be on the safe side, we ended up taking the 2pm Shuttle.
8.0
just a few steps from the entrance
they should be more honest about the season that you can go early in the morning to watch the sunrise, because was foggy and I learned after I went that all the locals know this is not the right time of the year to go.
3.0
just the location close to the entrance of the site
the stuff was totally incompetent, the food was disgusting and I got poisoned from quesadillas and felt bed for 2 days. the service at the table was extremely slow.

You can't beat the Jungle Lodge's location. The driveway to the hotel is literally at the entrance gate to Tikal. The room we stayed in was beautiful, the beds were very comfortable. There is no air conditioning only a ceiling fan which most of the time was fine. The fan worked even when electricity wasn't available. I would really have loved air conditioning after coming back from tramping around Tikal but other than that it was fine. The attached bathroom was beautiful and modern but there was no hot water so taking a shower was a bit bracing. The supplied shampoo, conditioner, soap, etc. were from L'Occitane and were wonderful. The provided purified water in the room each day. The food at the hotel was quite tasty but it did have the expected captive audience pricing. The staff were very helpful and friendly but most spoke very limited English. We hired a guide at the gate but the hotel could also arrange a guide for you for the same price as you would pay at the gate. We visited late in December and heard an occasional monkey but they were not a nuisance. My family and I enjoyed our experience at Tikal much more because we stayed in the park. It gave us the opportunity to explore more Tikal earlier in the day while it was cooler and less crowded.
Being a spoiled American I really would have liked air conditioning. However, I booked the hotel knowing it wasn't available and I understand why. So although I would have liked air conditioning I don't really consider it a problem. The WiFi even at the main lodge was very spotty and slow. However, we were there to see Tikal and relax so spotty WiFi isn't really an issue either. Some in my family complained about the electricity going off at regular times during the day but once again the lodge clearly advertises this and I understand why it happens. These "negatives" are all the result of maintaining the site in an ecologically friendly manner so they were acceptable to me.

Staff is very good and the restaurant is very good food ! Location is exceptional coz it is in the entry of the park !
Restaurant staff a bit slow ! Rooms are getting a bit old and would need a refresh ! As well as the swimming pool

place close to Mayan pyramids; perfect concept inside jungle, acceptable prices.
noise of the electric generator in the night. needs I little more in the kitchen.
7.0
The staff were excellent. The rooms very clean and the shower exceptional.
Swimming pool was fantastic.
Barman was excellent.
The food was sub par but delivered with a smile and quite quickly.
I hadn’t realised there was power interruptions, and had presumed there would be AC, but that was down to not reading up sufficiently. If AC was available even only when power was on this would be a BIG plus.

Proximity to Tikal national park is awesome. nice open air restaurant. games pool table. food as restaurant was pretty good. not outstanding but good and fairly priced considering the remoteness
very busy. tons of tourists. but it is Tikal.
