Overall a good experience, but a few things prevented me from giving a better rating. First and foremost the destination fee - i know that it's a (sad) standard today, but i feel that the way it is set up here is particularly bad. You pay the fee per day of stay, but most of the benefits are a one-off (15 Dollar credit for the shop, water). So, for a month-long stay you pay several hundred dollars "to make your stay enjoyable" and get a measly 15 Dollar credit once. Other hotels give you a daily credit at least - still a cash grab, but easier to stomach. Second, housekeeping is only on demand (nobody told me when checking in). Daily is probably overkill, but why not every other day? Rest of the stay: I liked the room (high up, good view), modern bathroom and the gym is quite decent (but could use a few more weights for the squat rack).

The hotel was centrally located in the city. It was easy to get to the train station from the hotel and there were a lot of places around the hotel. Inside our room was so quiet we never heard any noise out in the hallway. We felt very safe and secure during our stay. very nice hotel for a good price. Would highly recommend staying here.

The end of our holiday spent 3 nights at the hotel. Position is good as close to all forms of transport, dining and staff were helpful. The $15 voucher to spend in the ‘market’ cafe was good. Room was good size, bed comfortable and shower great.

First time in San Francisco, had an amazing stay within Hyatt SOMA hotel. Nice breakfast, nice staff. Good facilities and restaurants around. Next to financial district and close to public transport.

Great room with good quality amenities, extremely comfortable beds, and good bathroom. Staff were super helpful and friendly. The gym was large and good quality, and the area was very convenient for public transport and nearby restaurants.

Valet and check-in were fast and professional. Room was amazing and my boys said it was the nicest hotel we have ever stayed in. We were in town for a concert they attended and they were definitely impressed. Location was perfect since it was a few blocks walking distance to the concert venue (Warfield).

Excellent hotel, location was walking distance to Union Square. Nice large clean room with good coffee, tea and fridge. Friendly helpful staff. Water bottles and free refills at reception were great. The gym is new, huge, fully equiped and better than real clubs. Target supermarket nearby. Immediate area was safe but avoid going past 4th street.

The hotel is clean and well furnished, the bed is comfortable. The room is standard size but for some reason the closet was locked. Housekeeping is VERY intrusive. Within twenty minutes of first entering the room, I heard "Housekeeping" and a woman entered immediately. Mind you, I checked in after 4 p.m. The next morning, around 9 a.m., they were back. Thankfully I put the security bar on the door because I was in the bathroom that time. Maybe knock, "housekeeping," wait 10 seconds before entering! My main issue is that this hotel is in the busy and boxed-in downtown area and I was given NO information about parking -- rates for hotel valet, which nearby public garage might be best, etc. I had parked in one of these garages and when I asked the concierge upon check-in if that was what I should do, she just said yes, though that garage is unaffiliated with the hotel. I did not know the garage was closed overnight until 8 a.m. and this made getting out for an early flight an impossibility.

The hotel was very clean, the rooms were spacious and the staff were amazing. I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel to all my friends and family, as long as you don’t have a car. The valet parking was too expensive, there’s no street parking so you would most likely have to valet.

Super clean, amazing view with a big window, convenient food/beverage place at the base of the elevators, central location with lots to do within walking distance, comfortable beds... very happy with the stay.

The rooms were large and very clean. Elevators are fast to your floor. only valet parking. one negative was Calling to get your car from the valet I got not answer so i had to go down 9 floors to ask them to get my car ready as we were going to check out. he said sorry the phones didn't work but I suspect, at 4:30 am something else going on.

The hotel "oversold" the room I requested (2 queen beds) and only had a bed with as king and a daybed. Not comfortable as one adult had to sleep on the daybed. There was no significant credit for the significant inconvenience and discomfort. Also I had called earlier on the day of arrival to confirm and to let them know we would be a late check-in as d they never told me of the problem so I imagine they "oversold" after knowing I would be a late check-in.
