Well located hotel in centre of Galway. Reception staff v friendly. Room was clean and and comfy. Bathroom felt recently refurbished. Room was v warm and didn’t seem to be way of controlling temp, but just opened window. Good value. Would stay again.

Location is ideal - a stone's throw from Eyre's Square. Rooms were perfect, everything in it that was needed. Entrance was warm & inviting.

I have stayed at this hotel numerous times, but very disappointed with this stay. Room very small and noisy. Looking out onto car park with men working…. No curtains on the windows so people could see in… no hot water in the room. I reported this on the first day but nothing was done about it.

Great location because it’s slightly off the main road. It’s an easy walk to the downtown centre and they had friendly staff!

The Victoria hotel is a perfect location for exploring Galway. Just a block away from the town square and numerous shops and restuarants. The room was very clean although a bit on the small side with just the basics. - ie no mini fridge, microwave. No parking on site but not too inconvient to park at the nearby lots for 10-15 euro daily. Make sure to get your parking validated

Very comfortable! We didn’t spend a lot of time in the hotel. But it’s location was great

Very disappointed with the staff behind the desk. They were not helpful in advising points of interest as well as restaurants in the area.
The staff in the dining area was very helpful.

It was a great location, however the rooms were small, only a table fan and one window opened with no screen, and it was hot all night long. Old plumbing, weird shaver, no plug in bathroom, small room with uncomfortable bed. Overpriced for what you get.

Staff were very nice. Breakfast was good. Location down town core. Convenient and quick access to the highways.

Our room was at the front of the hotel so we were woken at 6am every morning with coaches and very noisy lorries stopping outside. Apart from that, the hotel was clean, staff were friendly and location was excellent.

We totally enjoyed our stay at the Victoria
Hotel Galway! It was an easy walk to everything we wanted to do. Shop, bus, train, pubs, restaurants and sightseeing. We did get to eat at the restaurant attached to the hotel but I did totally enjoy a lovely cocktail while waiting on my travel partner.

This is a great property for the money. Yes it could use some updating in the room but it was clean and you can’t beat the location. Staff was excellent food and drinks good would definitely stay there again.

Some staff not very helpful , breakfast was terrible, very cold in the dining area, coffee not fresh , felt I was being rushed with my food

When on a holiday break you should expect a frendly face to greet you,not in this case, to busy on mobiles or lap top.
Females like they had on reception before 'covet"(This is our fourth visit and probably our last)£649 to stay for 3 night's in a very small room with no air circulation and woken up at 7.30 to workmen outside.Every thing was expensive,no wonder most irish people go abroad now.it could do with a MAJOR shake up.

We found mold in the bathroom which left us uneasy. But the area was convenient for dining options.

This is an ideal hotel for a short stay in Galway. It is in a great location for walking to all the city spots. Rooms were clean and comfortable, albeit a bit tight in size. Restaurant was cool and trendy. The maitre D was very accommodating in providing us with a meal close to closing time. This was much appreciated. Overall, a very good location for a short stay in Galway.

Rooms smelled musty and was very noisy due to a party going on downstairs.Although we had paid for breakfast(booking made in NZ)they told us it wasn't in the system..very disappointing.

Good location, rooms a bit small but OK.
Internet connection was horrible, hot water took forever, and breakfast was pretty blah. So so overall

Lovely and clean hotel. Great location for a few days in Galway. Good choice at breakfaat time with helpful staff about. The only downside was our room had a brick wall as a view .

Beautifully outfitted rooms.
In the middle of Latin quarter with everything you need within walking distance!
This couldn’t be any better!

When I checked in the clerk seemed dismissive of questions about a bus. The decor seemed mildly dated. The location was good as it wasnt as busy as it was a block away.

A nice hotel in an excellent location. The staff were courtepus, helpful, and very friendly. The rooms were clean and quiet.

We were very, very disappointed in our room. The room was not air conditioned which would have been fine if we could open a window, but it was an opaque window that we could not see out and was only able to crack open a little at the top. It was so stuffy, we could not sleep. We asked for an extra fan and they delivered one that did not work. We were thankful that we only had to spend one night. The double bed was small as well. The staff was friendly and helpful, but the hotel was a complete disappointment.

Not a bad property just got stuck in an outdated room that was nothing like what was pictured online. Felt like it was luck of the draw whether you get a nice, new room or an old, musty room

The location is near restaurants and the Latin District. The only problem is dealing with luggage and a car.

Disappointing stay.
Early arrival and opportunity to check in was requested but not accommodated. Allowed to check in at 3pm with zero effort to bring time forward.
Breakfast charged for three mornings, when only one breakfast (x2) was taken.
At breakfast, staff could not provide a cappuccino, until at least 11:30am....when breakfast service was finished. Very unusual.
Bar staff said bar closed at 11pm and was unavailable to residents. Barman was closing up before 11pm and made us feel we were an inconvenience to him.
Galway is a great city, this is not a great hotel. A two star at most, masquerading as a three star hotel, charging five star prices.

Centrally located property close to the railway station and all other he site seeing areas. The staff were a pleasure and very amenable.

Room was close to the elevator and was very noisy. A lot of loud Americans yelling at each after coming home from the bars.

Very comfortable and close to everything we wanted to see. Friendly and helpful staff!
