Stayed here after biking the Shimanami Kaido. Bags were waiting in my room thanks to the same delivery service from Onomichi. Rode straight to the hotel cause it rained for half the route and I got soaked. Reception didn’t bat an eye at my condition and welcomed me graciously and efficiently. Room had signs of wear and tear but was clean and spacious. King sized bed and room for another! Got cleaned up and then returned my bike to Imabari station which, be aware is quite a way in to the city after the last bridge crossing. @500 taxi ride back to the hotel from there and I passed out. Have not had a noisy hotel yet in my week in Japan and no exception here. Viking Style breakfast included. Quick checkout and nice walk to the station. Dino Arigato and Mahalo to the Kokusai for your hospitality

Lovely hotel, friendly staff, amazing food in the hotel itself, near other amazing eateries, a laundromat if you decide not to use their cleaning service (chargeable) and reasonable walking distance to the local castle and museum, 12 minutes. Plenty of local cafes as well for variety. The local shopping alley evety summer holds festivals each saturday as well.

Reception staff was professional and very kind. Breadfast buffet was super, we enjoyed shio ramen and curry. Rice was so tasty. There is laundry shop nearby hotel, just 3-5 minutes walk, so no need to worry about laundry during long stay with family. There is Uniqlo as well in the same distance and can enjoy shopping there. Convinience store, Lawson, is also nearby.

Catering to the well-heeled in the Ehime area, this hotel was built by the local ship building company. No details were missed in the design of this hotel. Spectacular view sunrise view over the Imabari port from my 17th floor room. Windows don't open, so air a little stale, however spacious rooms make up for it. Swimming pool and hot springs.

Great view of sea and Imabari castle from our room and good breakfast (western and Japanese)

Its a nice hotel and stuff was very friendly. It was a bit unfortunate that there were some miscommunications with them and got a smoking room, instead of non-smoking room.

The best hotel in town, and the tallest building, too. Very swanky, unexpected in this dull industrial town. Top flight onsen, fancy restaurant, marble everywhere. Boy t no one there. A bit sad, but we had a fine stay after our bike ride from Onomichi.

Loved the large room and the onsen was very good. It was only 10 minutes walk from the train station and easy to find as it’s the tallest building in the area.

Pretty good service. Besides the typhoon and every business closed because of that, we had a wonderful time. The breakfast was really good.
Fantastic view!! Relatives stay at the 8th floor and we stay at the 17th floor, both had amazing views.
The hotel has here and there places (details) that needs to be fix, like wallpaper or some stains but overall is in good condition.

The hotel was great in ALL respects, but the Hotels.com's communication was bad. First, the confirmation mail from Hotels.com said there's no check-in counter at this hotel and that I'd have to call in advance. There was actually a fancy check-in counter, but good thing I called ahead. I was first told there was no reservation under my name. They eventually found it under a different last name. Second, I had reserved a twin with breakfast, but they didn't have a record about our breakfast reservation, despite that fact that I had paid Hotels.com the full accommodation including two breakfasts. In any case, this is a fabulous hotel at which even the current Emperor had stayed. The whole place is beautiful, the room large and clean, the people very nice, close to the station, and very inexpensive. The miscommunication may have occurred because hotel people's English is not very good (I am a native speaker of Japanese, and spoke to them in Japanese.) It'll probably be a good idea for Hotels.com to have someone proficient in Japanese to handle reservations at hotels in small cities in Japan.

Generally clean and good. Like the onsen being included in the cost. The in-house restaurant and breakfast are good too.
However, I was asked to pay extra for a non- smoking room.

This was a superb hotel. Surprised to have such a huge room. I’ve stayed in many hotels in Japan though the years and this was just as large as North American rooms The bathroom was superior to Most North American hotel rooms. The separated shower / bath had a shower bar to spray water laterally and/or from above.
Staff was friendly and spoke English quite well. (Not all staff but the front reception I had, at least).
I rode the Shimanami Kaido. (Wonderful 50mi/80km bike route from Onomichi to Imabari, but not so great during the summer...too hot and humid). I was able to bring my bike into my hotel room. That was greatly appreciated. Gave me piece of mind with a rental bike. Although the area was safe, still it was nice to have my bike within my room.

I had a great stay. Hotel room was very big compared to all other hotels I have seen in Japan. A little bit old-fashioned but I liked the style of the hotel. I liked the breakfast. Staff hardly spoke English which made it hard to communicate.

Corner room with triple beds including sofa bed. Room was still warm. Aircon was not cold at all. However, toilet is the most spacious I have seen in Japan.

I've pretty much given this hotel a perfect score. I know that its not going to be the best in an international setting, however you won't find anything better in Imabari. Firstly, very nice, very helpful staff that spoke English at the desk. Secondly the hotel, while not brand new, is in great shape and looks really nice. Stay included a Onsen/Sento which after 110km+ on the bicycle it was a real welcome relief. The room was large, spacious (good even by western standards) with a single (maybe kingish size) bed. Breakfast the next morning was good too. The staff even booked a nearby izakaya (restaurant) for us for our dinner on the arrival night. Loved my stay in this place. OH! One other huge plus - BICYCLE FRIENDLY if you are doing the Shimanami Kaido - you can take your bike straight to the room without packing it up.

Very convenient location a short walk or taxi from the train station. Rooms are comfortable and quiet.

Hotel was in a quiet part of town. The room was spacious and the staff was friendly. Imabari was different to the other large urban centres we visited in Japan, such as Tokyo and Nagoya, it reminded me more of cities and regional towns in Australia; more space, less hi-rises, more car-centric. It was interesting to see a different side of urban Japan.
