The stay itself was fine, but it is super expensive !
Hotels.com had a "50% discount" for 28 dollars a night so I just booked it, but it turns out that 28 dollars is an insane price for a room like this. The locals and the other tourists were laughing at me when they heard what I paid.
I went to other casas to ask for prices and I got 8, 15, 15, 12, 10 and the highest one I got was 20, but then when I left they offered me 15. Those were just nearby my casa.
I was the only one in the casa for my whole stay.
Do not pay more than 15 dollars for a casa!
Shame on Hotels.com for letting hotels put "50%" on something that was never worth 50% before. It is an open market for scammers.

My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights. Overall we had a very poor experience mainly due to the fact there is no wifi. We knew coming here that there would be no mobile data so we were very reliant on having wifi. When we arrived we found the Casa had no wifi inside (we had to walk and queue 1 hr to buy wifi cards that can only be used in certain outdoor areas around the city). If we hadnt downloaded offline maps on Google in advance wed have had a lot more issues. Our other issue with our stay was the noise. The rooms are in no way soundproof. The system for entering the Casa means you have to knock on the door or ring the doorbell, both of which woke us many times. One of the mornings we wanted a lie in but we could hear loads of noise from 7am. Everything else was great, friendly host, room was clean and comfortable and the location was great.

Excelente y cómodo lugar en una casona cubana con una atención increible por parte de sus propietarios. El desayuno estaba riquisimo con ingredientes típicos de la zona. El lugar ideal para insertarte en la vida de la Habana cercano a todo.

One of the most enjoyable vacations! Loved the family oriented atmosphere that reigns in the house. Juana and Julia are the dynamic duo of Havana! I recommend this place to everyone!

I had a great experience at this guest house. The host, Julia and her sister, are so kind and nice. This house has a full of laughter. You feel that you are well taken care of. Their breakfast are great as well as the location. This place is located 15mins walk to old Havana. Ocean is just four blocks down the street. You can experience Cuban local life in the neighborhood. I will definitely stay this place again.

The house was clean, the owners sister was very helpful, but spoke little english, there was no window in our room! The area in wich the house was located,,was a six block walk to the malecon, not a short walk as suggested, streets are very dirty and smelly!! All said i would not go back!

We really appreciated your kindness and service!! Next time I visit Cuba, definitely stay at yours again!! Thank you so much <3

Things I did not like in Cuba : poor public wifi and sky high rate of taxi/bicycle taxi. So I searched 'free wifi' in Havana, and this hostel was the one with free wifi, and walkable distance from Havana vieja.
I got an e-mail after my reservation, that I have to pay two CUC per hour for wifi. I can afford that, but shouldn't they post it at the hotel room description?
When I arrived, she told me that wifi was out of order and not available.
I asked the hostess about the bus transport to Morro castle, and she answered me that I can walk to there. Only 4 kilometer. So I tried, but I found that I can not cross the underwater tunnel without a car. Didn'y she know this or too bothered to teach me the way?
The hostess here is friendly, only when she talks about the money, like reserving a taxi to the airport, or doing my 3kg laundry with 20CUC. By the way, she will introduce you a taxi with 35-40 CUC depending on the departure time(written on the guide paper in your room). You can easily get a taxi from the street to airport with 20 CUC, so better not bother her.
No wifi, and the hostess, who is not always friendly, might give you wrong informations.
In your room, you can hear people staying upstairs voiding in the calm night.
You can get a room at the Havana vieja with similar price and better reputation, so why book here?
