The views, the hob tub ready for arrival, everything you need within the hut, great heating, towels provided, fab nearby walks :) It truly was a great stay!
Nothing that we did not like. Everything we needed was provided already in the hut

Great location and nicely decorated.
Shower was either scolding hot with the water heater on or freezing cold if we switched the water heater off. No compensation was offered for this. Expected a relaxing night away. There is nothing relaxing about a freezing cold shower and having to wash your hair in freezing water.
Expected to take out the trash and remove bedsheets. Very strange. We often stay in self catering and have never had to do that.
It’s like they’ve rented out the place they want to take zero responsibility for. They also want their guests to clean up. I don’t mind washing the dishes or wiping up after myself but doing part of the laundry? It’s a bit much and this needs to be advertised on the add. It’s more housework when I am trying to get away from busy life in the countryside. Defeats the purpose. There is no human on the end of the phone number. Everything is via email. For almost £130 per night, it’s incredibly overpriced considering they expect their guests to do the cleaning and the laundry.

Had issues gaining entry. Tried to ring the landline number on the booking form many times and no one answered. Due to being in the middle of nowhere no internet. They emailed the entry code and I didn’t receive it till 9.30pm, having arrived at 4.30pm Was told “We don’t give out a mobile number as people hassle us with problems “. Seriously!!!! We ended up trying every code combination until we gained entry. Couldn’t use the hot tub due to it attracting literally hundreds of flies. They covered the skyline. Couldn’t go for a walk as people were shooting birds and didn’t fancy getting hit. Was informed they lock the gate at 6.30 so worried about being able to get back in if we drove to the pub. And then they complained that I was angry!!!!! Ruined what should have been a romantic break. My wife wanted to leave in the middle of the night, but we’re concerned that the gate at the end of the very very long and very bumpy road would be locked and there is no turning room. So we were forced to stay the night. Added to “empty your own bins and strip your own bed, wash and put away your own pots”. Felt as though the whole set up (especially the phones) were all for their convenience and not ours. David

Nothing bad to say at all!

Amazing location and view, peaceful; the hut was clean and had all the comfort; the perfect place to relax in the hot tub, in the hammock and swing or having a bbq.

absolutely beautiful little private get away.

Stunning location, relaxing hot tub, comfy bed
Rather than leaving notices on everything, information could be provided in a booklet left in a prominent place for guests to read. Maybe with some local information like a laminated map of the area showing where the paths are to walking routes and landmarks, such as the winking man. The notices seemed a bit militant which was incongruous with the landscape and completely not reflective of staff, who very welcoming and friendly

Loves the bed, it was super comfy
We love the location, we've stayed 4 times over 4 years so I think it says it all.
The setting is beautiful and secluded
The shepherd's hut was really nicely done out
As all the switches were off in the cabin when we got there, it was hard to follow instruction as it wasn't quite clear what remote did what.. especially the one on the side of the cupboard.
The main curtain for the door was missing so we had to Try and make a make shift one so that the light didn't come in and so we had privacy

This is a very nice and authentic place to stay in but worth to note that absolutely self check- in with no interaction with the owner. All instructions are sent in a message after booking and in the accomodation on the wall. The land and hills are beautiful, perfect for hiking. I do recommend.
The heating system was a bit noisy which is not a problem in daytime but we switched off for the night.

Beautiful location with loads of places surrounding to go walking. It’s also not a far drive from leek and Buxton. The hut itself was so lovely, clean and practical with gorgeous views. The field opposite had cows come and visit 2/3 times a day it so we woke up to cows on both days!! Perfect place to recharge- thankyou!
The tv had a Netflix option but no Wi-Fi to sign in. Only a very very minor issue, wouldn’t say it affected our stay atall.

We loved our stay here. Perfectly formed small space, immaculately clean, cosy & quirky. Beautiful views. A fun place to stay.
Maybe not great for a light sleeper if it’s raining heavily through the night. It wouldn’t stop me staying again though.
