Excellent location, great ammenities and instructions from owners.
Very comfortable stay, i wish we could have stayed longer.

the location was absolutely stunning and the hut feels very homely and cosy.
there was no signal at the cabin but if you walked to the car park there was. it was nice to be away from the internet!

Totally exceeded our expectations. The bed was EXTREMELY comfy (they’ve clearly listened to the reviews and acted on previous reviews as the bed was absolutely gorgeous) and the views are to die for. Gorgeous hot tub made for an amazing romantic stay, in the middle of the beautiful countryside. Totally peaceful - just you and the birdies and an occasional sheep. Staff left us alone to enjoy our stay but we knew where to find them if we needed anything. Safe and secure parking, clean shower and kitchen area … absolute paradise. Thank you.

beautiful setting, hot tub was lovely
the bed really let the property down, you just end up sinking into a hole in the middle

Absolutely amazing little hut, very private, clean and well equipped. I would definitely recommend and i will be returning.

Lovely quiet peaceful relaxing

The location was spectacular. Magnificent views, serene soundscape, and a very pretty little cabin to relax in with most of the mod-cons.
The hot tub was a lovely touch. It's a shame it can't be used after 10pm however - after a long drive, a late night dip with a drink is a perfect tonic.
The list of rules might rub some people the wrong way, but I felt the black-and-white nature meant it was easy to know what was expected.
I'd highly recommend this stay overall and I am already looking to come back with my fiancée.
There was zero internet. No WiFi (I'm sure the advert says it does have!) and no phone signal at all. I was staying here for a training course the next day that had to have prework completed the night before so I spent three hours sat in a Sainsbury's car park which wasn't ideal. If I had been going for R and R, this would have been a selling point, but situationally, it was a huge hindrance.
It was COLD in the night. The heat dissipated fast as I had it warm before bed but woke up shivering. They provided a blanket in fairness. There was no washing up liquid either and I was only there for one night.

Not one bit of owner interaction not even a hello or offer of help.
I’ve never been to a place where you have to strip the beds yourself after use and empty the bin
4.2
Lovely location and space. Nice and warm. Great hot tub. Peaceful and serene.
The mattress was really uncomfortable. You could feel the springs while you slept. No soap or shower gel or shampoo in the shower. No hot water in the bathroom tap. No milk in the fridge for tea.
4.2
nice location
very cold in property when we arrived ,no heating on and it was a very cold day
4.2
lovely property, clean, cosy and really great place to stay
the road leading to the property was “rural” for lack of a better word I only have a little hatchback and found the car scraping the floor so be careful
4.2
The shepherds hut was super cute and had everything we needed. The hot tub was amazing! We were completely undisturbed during our stay, self check-in/out worked great.
we found the bed a little hard but not terribly so and the cooking equipment a little difficult to use.
4.2
how quiet and remote the location was , the hot tub was amazing , amazing views , very relaxed few days . didnt want to leave
nothing

Nice location, bed was comfy, one member of staff was very helpful and responded quickly.
The other member of staff who answered the phone was quite rude and proceeded to raise her voice at me and demanded I read the information when I asked where the key for the property was, she didn’t end up answering my questions and just continued to lecture me about reading the unclear instructions. Also the place wasn’t particularly clean with both of the leather chairs covered in dust. There was also signs by the hot tub giving you strict instructions not to touch the lights or temperature and stating you MUST be out of the hot tub by 10pm, which is the last thing you want to hear when you pay for accommodation and want to relax. You also have to strip your bed in the morning and take your rubbish with you, I thought it was a glamping pod not a youth hostel.

The location was beautiful, I loved everything about it
I loved we wasn’t disturbed and left to it. I loved the decor, the bed was amazing and comfy and smelt amazing lol. I would 100% come here again
I loved everything

It was comfortable and we had everything that we needed in the shepherds hut, hosts were friendly and on hand to show us things on arrival but then we were left to it for our stay which made it relaxing and peaceful. Views are stunning and the hot tub is a big bonus!
It is very difficult to get any signal or service so best to plan in advance which we did and we didnt mind as we wanted a weekend to switch off but incase people are expecting wifi as it states in public spaces we weren’t near any so this wasnt provided in the hut.
4.2
lovely cozy little hut with a comfy bed, hot tub was great we had an amazing stay and be will rebooking.
would of liked the option to have longer in the hot tub without the time limit.
4.2
Such a lovely little hut really enjoyed my time there.
Had Wi-Fi (which isn’t great but didn’t expect it to be the best as being in the middle of fields) stunning views, lovely hot tub. A real nice cosy treat! Definitely recommend!

We were left to chill, log fire, hot tub, altogether cosy inside. it was a great place for an overnight stay to wind down.
The only thing I can say is the lane up to it, very pot holey but it’s not part of their property and we knew about it from previous reviews so went in our old banger, no problems.
4.2
Reading the reviews I wasn’t sure what to expect but it was lovely. Fire set for us on arrival and clear instructions on where the key etc was and how to use everything.
Only thing I would say is shower quickly as the hot water runs out quick with it being a little tank, but good enough for a refresh after the hot tub.
Bed was comfortable and the lighting in the hut made it so cosy. WiFi isn’t good but was quite happy about that to be cut off for a bit. we just took a laptop with a film to watch and a little speaker for some music.
Hot tub was lovely with clear instructions how to use it. Only thing that could of made it better was some sort of roof over it. It was raining quite heavily and there was no way it was putting me off from getting into the hot tub but a roof/canopy would of made it much more comfortable no matter what the weather was like. Privacy was absolutely fine, no one could see you in the hot tub. Despite the very wet and windy weather we made the most of it and enjoyed our stay
Just no roof over the hot tub

Stunning location & lovely shepherd’s hut with everything needed for a cosy stay
Not quite as private as pictures suggest. Excessive instructions and slightly frosty reception from staff not really conducive to a relaxing atmosphere
4.2
Not the best day we find a bit windy and smothy
4.2
The hut was really nice in a brilliant location with amazing views nice and quiet and the hot tub was great to just chill
4.2
The cabin was so cosy and super warm with the log burner! The hot tub is so lovely positioned towards the open fields so at night you can see all stars and full moon. The hut was easy to find, clean, well kept and felt so private even though it’s situated close to the other cottages. The hut is in a great location with lovely walks all around and superb landscape views from the top of the Roaches. Such a great few days we throughly enjoyed it and would happily visit again!
The only issue we had with the stay was the road to the retreat is awful, so many potholes one of which popped the one of the tyres on the car, Luckily we had a spare.
4.2
Great hot tub, the hut was clean, tidy and warm. Stocked with good facilities.
The owner was quite condescending and rude towards us. We are a young couple and it seemed that the owner may have taken an immediate disliking to this.
Other than that the actual place is great.
4.2
Hot tub size. Location. Bathroom. View. Very cosy hut wonderfully set up. Loved how cosy it was and the little jug of milk, fire lit ready and nice easy to use hot tub. Would certainly go again.
Very late check in and early check out. In winter time not great if you want to enjoy the view for long. Would make the stay longer next time so would have the whole day and 2 nights to be able to enjoy it.
4.2
oven wouldn’t get hot enough , wi fi wouldn’t work, felt over looked (not private)
no hot tub after 10pm.
no outdoor table and chair like pictures.
4.2
Lovely little hut with a nice hottub and log burner. Very cosy and nice views from window. Quite private too, overall a good getaway experience.
Area has some places to hike but not quite as accessible as we were expecting, mostly animal farms nearby. The hottub temperature was locked at 37 which on colder days didn't heat up past 35 and actually felt quite cold when it was cold outside, could have done with a slightly higher/more adjustable temperature to be able to enjoy it more and not get cold in the hot tub. Towels and dishes were provided but no hairdryer and if we didn't bring our own toilet roll we would have struggled to make do with the relatively small amount provided. We couldn't get the oven to work so had to stick with food that could be made on the hob. Also, WiFi is listed but during the whole of our stay none was available and neither data nor signal due to location.
4.2
The hot tub was a perfect size for couples, the view was amazing it was comfortable, clean and warm. Would definitely stay again
The time limit you got for the hot tub felt like it wasn't long enough but it is understandable with it being so close to the house and the routine of the chemicals.
4.2
Lovely view from the hut and hot tub, the fire was warming and homely with lots of extra logs.
Wooden steps from the hut become very slippery when wet, could do with some form of grip to prevent slipping
4.2
The location was lovely and the hut was clean and tidy with everything you needed. The hot tub was perfect and all in all we had a really relaxing time here.
The welcome we got from the owner was a bit bizarre. We were slightly early, which she was really not happy about and then she spent ages telling us rules and what we weren't allowed to do and what horrible things other guests had done during their stays. To be honest I felt like going home at this point. She did mellow eventually and was then ok with us.
