Location was so central to Macclesfield, Gawsworth and Congleton, easy access to code for gates, rooms were clean and had everything you needed including mini soaps and shampoo, tea and coffee and robes for the hot tub. The parking was great, a double drive for our 3 bed lodge. The hot tub was a bonus but it was clean, warm, easily accessible and had just the right amount of privacy. Brilliant size loving area with sofas, table and chairs and all open plan, great for groups. I felt that my 3 year old was safe here and had enough room to play and draw.
Lack of hooks for hanging coats, dressing gowns, towels, etc. Only 1 key for the lodge. Deck needed sweeping, fag butts everywhere. Bath plug didn't work. TV didn't work. The way the security deposit is handled makes me uncomfortable, it should be pending not a bank transfer.

The lodge itself was nice , we stayed in Lodge One. Dressing gowns a nice touch as well as little bottles of shampoo left on your towel.
It needs a deep clean not just what the eyes can see , yes we was staying in a forest but the amount of cobwebs and spiders actually in the lodge means it doesn't get deep cleaned. Even the decking was full of berries and twigs , which I brushed away once we arrived on the Friday and yes by the time we left on the Monday morning there was a few more but no where near the amount I originally brushed away , plus there where leaves in the actual Hot Tub as well. Then I nearly fell through the master bedroom bed , we lifted the mattress 3 slats was on the floor and one was actually missing means that once I fixed the slats there was still an indent in the bed, plus there was dirty socks and flower petals under the bed so that hadn't been cleaned either but I guess I know how the bed broke. Only 2 bath towels for 4 people. Post code didn't take you to the lodge so had to ask a farmer for the directions ( in which she smiled as she gets asked all the time )

The quality of lodge was great. To have robes was a lovely touch and great when getting out of the hot tub. Quality finishes throughout. Sissy was amaziing host
Neighbours in 46 kept us away with music until 4.30am.

Fantastic modern lodges with hot tub. Comfy and clean.
Rooms could do with TVs, also WiFi is very weak so couldn’t work o. Lap top.

Comfortable one bedroom apartment with bath and shower. Easy parking.
Not as well equipped as we felt it should be. £250 breakages deposit is cheeky and wasn’t returned to us as quickly as was indicated in their terms and conditions. Our particular lodge was not clearly shown on road signs once on the site, so we had to phone someone to get directions. We checked out at 8.30am, but felt it a bit much to charge an extra £30 to check out at 11am, given that it’s not a cheap place to stay in the first place.

WE CONTACTED THE OWNER WHEN WE ARRIVED AS WE HAD NO OVEN GLOVES, TEA TOWEL OR DISHWASHER TABLETS, SHE AGREED TO BRING THEM THE NEXT MORNING BUT THEY NEVER ARRIVED. I CONTACTED THE NEXT DAY TO SAY I WAS DISAPPOINTED, SHE NEVER LOOKED AT THE TEXT. ON THE DAY WE LEFT I MESSAGED AGAIN AND SHE MESSAGED SAYING THE CLEANER HAD CALLED ROUND BUT WE WERENT THERE, HOWEVER WE WERE THERE UNTIL 1PM WHEN WE LEFT TO GO TO A WEDDING WHICH WAS THE PURPOSE OF OUR STAY. ALSO THE OUTSIDE DECKING WAS DIRTY WITH MUDDY FOOTPRINTS , SWEET PAPERS AND PIZZA ON THE FLOOR. WE HAD TO GOIVE A £250 DEPOSIT WHICH WAS NOT RETURNED UNTIL 5 DAYS AFTER WE CHECKED OUT. I ASKED FOR THIS TO BE RETUIRNED ON ANUMBER OF OCCASIONS
