About this house rental
Sit on the painted front porch of an Italianate shotgun house in the birthplace of Jazz. It has been renovated for modern conveniences but plenty of Victorian charm remains in the original fireplaces, wood trim, and claw-foot tubs.
The home exudes old-world charm—French doors, fireplaces, high ceilings, veranda, and shaded patio.
Treme is a historic neighborhood, and the birthplace of Jazz. The comfortable, secure location is close to all the action, yet removed enough for rest and relaxation. Nearby are Le Petit Jazz Museum, Lil Dizzy s Cafe, and the Rampart Streetcar.

The place was right in the french quarter and was fantastic for me and my brother. Parking was a breeze (we rented a car). There was a hurricane and dan couldn't have been a better host. He let us know what to expect and assured us he was there for anything we needed. It was a fantastic stay in a beautiful property. We could not have been happier. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

Daniel was beyond accommodating and personable. My wife and I just finished our 4 night stay with our small dog in tow and honestly can’t wait to come back again. Property is beautiful with a lot of charm in the Treme area. Close proximity to all the action but quiet at night. An unbelievable experience. Daniel was the best and if you are looking to experience the quarter this is the way to do it. We will def book again. Thanks again Daniel.

We had a great time! The place was clean and very close to the French quarter.

This had the most authentic style of new orleans.
It was peaceful. Everything was as it was shown in the pictures. The space was humongous, we had extra everything, from towels to bed sheets to cleaning products and more. I can not find anymore words to describe how beautiful and serene it was. The host were extremely nice and ready to help. This was just perfect!

We really enjoyed staying here. Easy Uber to all the things to do but nice to be out of the quarter for downtime. Had everything we needed and then some. Great hosts! Lots of charm, coffee and food nearby. Would stay here again for sure.

House! The host was GREAT! Gave amazing recommendations for cocktails, dinner, and entrainment! Only drawback was the shared wall neighbors fighting from 2AM to 7AM both nights. I guess we didn't drink enough to sleep through it ;0b. Life goals for next time!

Great convenient location to everything needed. Communication with the owners could not have been any better. Responded right a way. Very caring. Had a fully stocked home ready for us. We could not have asked for a better place and owners. Thank you so much for everything. Your kindness meant everything to us 💛

This property was very nasty and we would not stay here again. The amount of money it cost us was absolutely not worth it. If this property was mine, before I rented it again, I would give it a complete makeover. The TV most of the time would not even work.

We totally enjoyed the Treme district, especially the house we rented from Dan! We were even privileged to have seen a pop-up parade on Thursday evening in the neighborhood! It was loaded with history and beautiful homes, was close enough to the French quarter, but not in the hub of it, so we enjoyed that, and it was also a good location for public transportation to city park! Dan was especially helpful giving us ideas to see in their beautiful city. Highly recommend Dan and the Treme home.

Overall, we loved the place. Super simple check-in and check-out. Had no issues finding the place, and the area seemed to be pretty safe.
I wish the listing had more photos, because the house is smaller than I expected, nor did I know it was such a close duplex. You may encounter the people staying in the other side, and the backyard and laundry room are shared. I would've liked to know that prior to booking, since we were there for a bachelor trip and certainly weren’t quiet.(I think we irritated the family staying in the other side)
Walking to the french quarter, and other new orleans neighborhoods was easy. Its not too far, so every walk is enjoyable. The area was beautiful.
Also, the owner was also pretty chill, so that was also cool. 5/5 excellent place overall.

This is a perfect location for someone who wants to walk or take easy public transport either toward the Quarter, or to City Park area. The house itself is really cool and charming. Thanks for welcoming us and our dog!

It was our first time in New Orleans. This home was perfect. It was nicely decorated with lots of room to spread out. 2 adults and 2 teens. Everything you needed was provided and then some. Plenty of towels too. Short walk to all things New Orleans and some really need neighborhood spots as well. Dan, the host, was quick to respond and we even got to chat with him one afternoon. He told us some local secrets :) Would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

We loved it. Our friends and us just celebrated our wedding anniversary. (35 and 37 years). Thank you so much for everything

One married couple and two lady friends stayed on the property. Not sure where two more people would have stayed, with only two queen beds. Exterior is not exactly as pictured. Front door was hard to access because railing was covered by vines. Sidewalk is breaking up in the front too. Front full of weeds. The place was really clean except we had to wear slippers to keep our feet clean. House was Well stocked with supplies like paper , soap, towels, etc. Mattress in second bedroom needs replacing, because the center sinks down. We had to pretty well leave our clothing in our suitcases. Only one bedroom had a closet. Deck on the side of the house was comfortable to use. Location was pretty good. Close to Rampart and Louie Armstrong Park. Staying here requires walking. The busses were not running on Rampart.
We enjoyed our stay in NOLA . Probably will choose another VRBO in the future.

Nice place for small group with access to Bourbon Street and yet escape value too. Do it again.

This was one of the best VRBO properties we have stayed at. The house was so beautiful. We did get a workout as we were about 8 blocks to Bourbon Street, but well worth it. 3 outside deck areas to enjoy. washer/dryer onsite, just outside back door. unit was stocked with everything we needed. All you have to do is bring your drinks and personal items.... and food if you don't plan to try all the local eateries.
The owners live right next door and they were the nicest people. Dan and John answered all our questions right away, made suggestions and even hung out and chatted for a while.
We give this 10+ stars!!! Loved our stay!

We loved everything about this home and neighborhood. We were a little worried about the size but it’s actually very roomy! If we ever come back we are staying here again! Dan was a fantastic host too!

This is a cute house in the Marigny. It was clean and everything was working. It is very close to the freeway underpass, which isn't ideal but still okay. My main complaint is that the walls are paper thin (it's a house that has been divided into two) and you can hear the people next door as though they're in the room with you. The next door guests had two crying babies; so that wasn't ideal. I've stayed in the Marigny quite a few times and think you can do much better for the price.

This was nice property only four blocks or so from the French Quarter, yet it was quiet and peaceful. We felt safe there. The home is in pretty good shape. When we needed certain kitchen untensils that weren't there, we told the owner and the utensils were there the same day. Very nice owner. Home is clean and comfortable. The beds are reasonably comfortable. Recommended property.

We stayed 2 nights (4 adults & 2 kids, 13 & 8 + 2 dogs!) Love pet friendly properties! We really enjoyed our time in NOLA! The house was an older property, charming, clean & well stocked with shampoo, lotion, coffee, sugar & water.
The beds were super comfy and although we had issues with both the air mattresses deflating, Dan was quick to rectify the situation and deliver 2 new ones! A comfy fold out sofa bed would be the best solution for this house to comfortably sleep 6 and Dan & I discussed him getting one.
It was a little bit of a walk to get to where we wanted to go (roughly about 15 minutes) but you could easily get an Uber.
We would recommend leaving your car at the house. We would stay here again and highly recommend it for travelers wanting a pet friendly house for you & your pooches. Despite it being pet friendly, I didn’t see any evidence of dog hair. Highly recommended property!

We stayed for two nights while taking our boys to see the National WW2 museum. Dan was very helpful with our check-in, available and accommodating during our stay, and flexible for our needs.

The house was just as described in the listing, and the hosts thought of little extras that just made the stay that much better. Simple things like shampoo/conditioner and bandaids were thoughtful. Especially true after my daughter got a blister the first evening there, and we didn't have to run out for a bandaid!
We had a short stay, and it was HOT, so we could not enjoy the outside patio, but it was adorable. The hosts provided great suggestions for restaurants and activities nearby. Very helpful for our first trip to NOLA! Enjoyed breakfast at Fatima's Cafe.
Overall, a great trip, and we would gladly return again!
