The property is beautifully appointed and is an easy commute to downtown New Orleans.

Nice quite community easy access to all parts of New Orleans.

The house was the perfect size. Tons of space and we all got our own bedrooms. Quiet neighborhood with cute coffee shops within walking distance. The only downside is the location. While it is only roughly 15 minutes to downtown the cost of Ubers may make you rethink the location. If you have multiple people on the trip, I definitely would recommend. However, if you plan on spending most of your time downtown, I would reconsider.

Proerty was well taken care of. Recommend new locks for the outside doors.

Owner was great. She was very responsive and helpful. The house had fleas. Beds were not comfortable. Dinning room table is falling apart.

The house is lovely and very comfortable for a family gathering. We were in town visiting my elderly mother who lives in the assisted living facility at the Point, so the ramp at the back entrance enabled us to bring her over to visit with us. The kitchen is small but had everything we needed. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and the host responded very quickly when I messaged her. Would not hesitate to rent here again!

I celebrated my 50th birthday with 10 of my closest friends and we had an amazing time. This house was huge and had plenty of room and space for all of us. Algiers Point is an awesome town and I would 100 stay here again. Easy walk to the ferry and super easy to Uber. The only downfall was the internet didn’t work and they never got it to work for us. Other than that it was perfect.

Overall, it was a pretty clean house! Lots of bedrooms which was nice to have. Seemed to be in a safe neighborhood but driving in to this neighborhood was a little sketchy.
The pictures definitely depict a more bright and airy atmosphere than what was given. That was the only real downside for me.
The host was responsive and the check in process was a breeze.

House was nice, just like in the photos. It is an old house. We liked it. If you are looking for a more modern stay might not be for you. Theres technically 3 rooms downstairs & 2 bathrooms but to go to the backyard you go through the rooms. If you need couples privacy might not be it. But we were all family so it didnt bother us. & 3 rooms upstairs with one bathroom. No complaints of the actual house other than the doors being hard to close. parking was a pain for us. Not at owners fault. You can park in front of the house (fit 2 cars) street parking and also 1 in the carport on side of house total of 3 cars. We got there late and there were cars in our spot so we parked somewhere else and neighbors complained saying we could not park in front of their house. And made us move. Other than that no issues. Ferry was close 10 min walk or 3 min drive(just pay to park at station). We enjoyed taking the ferry. Its also a 5min ride on the ferry to the other side.

This is the absolute perfect place to stay. The location is a dream. The home itself has so many qualities including 3 bathrooms and an outdoor private gathering space in the back. There are a full kitchen and a little kitchenette in the back downstairs. 5 bedrooms and a little sitting area with a daybed. Perfect for large groups! We loved it!

Our group had 4 couples from out of state and one couple locally that were able to enjoy this little gem!!
First off the neighborhood is quiet and safe. A sleepy little location that draws you in. We truly enjoyed sitting out front and talking to locals that strolled by. There are local establishments around that are wonderful. There is a cute breakfast cafe down the road that we used each day for breakfast and we were lucky enough to enjoy Travalino’s pizza on its last night open (Such a shame- the pizza was delicious). The walk to the ferry short and sweet. If you are there any length of time get the jazzy pass so you can use ferry, street car and bus- unlimited times
The house itself is nicely furnished and stocked from bedrooms, baths, and kitchen you had all the necessities you needed. The back yard patio was refreshing in the evenings.
A few things to note:
The front door doesn’t have a typical knob so for it to stay closed you need to deadbolt it. We found for our early mornings sitting on the stoop that putting a rag in the frame as you closed it kept it closed and let the cool air stay in. (This is very important for the summer months as it is hot out there)
None of the bathrooms have air so they get quite toasty during your shower. The downstairs bathrooms were not as hot because their rooms/areas had some air close by, but the upstairs hall/landing is not air conditioned. Not a huge deal but worth mentioning as some might have an issue.

First… the house was so cute and huge! We had 7 girls here for bachelorette party in May, and it was perfect for everyone. However.. there was a few things in the house that didn’t make us feel comfortable, especially being all girls. The doors hardly locked.. there was 3-4 locks on each door and only 1-2 of them worked. We got home one night & I asked the girls if they locked it because it looked open & cracked at the top. The back door someone could have easy just pushed & it would’ve broke open (basically warped pieces of wood) They need to replace all the doors in the house, because there is no safety in them. None of us felt safe and we did a house check when we got back at night. This house is adorable, and walking distance from the ferry- but it needs to be updated so it’s safer for everyone! Overall I give it 4/5 stars. Communication with Deidra was great.

What a lovely home! We stayed here for my Bachelorette trip, with my 8 bridesmaids and my mom. There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for us, beds were comfy, and the space was clean. We especially loved that the ferry is walking distance, and only $2 to cross over to all of the action across the river- this in effect made the French Quarter walking distance. The neighborhood felt safe and the homes were beautiful fun colors. As stated this was a perfect retreat to relax after the party out and about. We had a great time! Check in and out was seamless and Diedre was responsive. Thanks for the lovely stay!

I cannot say enough about how amazing this property is. The location was perfect! We absolutely fell in love with the house, we even named her. We can't wait to stay here again, I see this becoming a tradition!

Neighborhood is not good plus all the doors in the house did not latch properly, bathroom doors were not latching, ac units was not working properly, refrigerator door compartments was missing. Staircase light was not working, main entrance door handle broken and not latching, linens had some stain on them, and many other little things. Also the backyard is shared with the neighbors and it was not disclosed. But for most part House just Didn’t feel safe overall.

Great communication with Deidra! The location was a convenient and the water ferry worked perfect for our group! Neighborhood was quaint and safe.
The only negative was that the beds are not very comfortable.

Great value for the price, very comfy with a good historic feel. The ferry is a short walk from the house, was super cheap, and was very easy to use. Host also communicated very well! We felt very safe in this neighborhood and would stay here again.

We came for a short girls weekend. The home has a lot of charm and there was plenty of room for the 6 of us. Deidra was quick to return messages and helpful when needed. The house is a short walk to the ferry that will take you across the river and then a short walk to the French Quarter plus easy access to the streetcar. Would recommend this house to anyone looking for a great place to stay in New Orleans. Thank you Deidra for sharing your property with us.

New Orleans Weekend
This was an older house with lots of atmosphere. It was clean and worked well for our large group. We felt safe in the neighborhood and walked to and from the ferry morning and night. We enjoyed the way the house was decorated and cared for. It had a nice kitchen. Even in the heat the house was cool and comfortable. We really enjoyed our trip!

Comfortable & easy access to Downtown NOLA
The owner of this property is doing a beautiful job renovating this grand old home. Plenty of space for all seven of us, just keep in mind the back bedroom is Only accessible through another bedroom that is off the dining room and kitchen. The kitchen is well stocked, the entire house was beautifully decorated, cozy and spotless.
The houses are very close together, as expected, but no noise issues & all neighbors we ran into were very friendly. It’s not the fanciest of neighborhoods, but completely safe and quiet. We walked to and from the ferry, late at night, and were not concerned for our safety whatsoever… So as long as you can walk the 4-5 blocks to get to the ferry, you’re good! We found parking near the ferry fairly limited, so we preferred to walk. (Bring your single $ for the ferry-exact change only accepted)
Lovely home with def NOLA feel to it. Great to be so close to the action without having to worry about parking in French Quarter!
Fantastic trip all around - Deidra was very nice & quick to respond to any message. Thanks so much for a great stay!!

Birthday Shennanigans
The pictures of the property were super accurate, very clean and comfortable. The Neighborhood is quiet . Everyone was extremely pleased and the Property Manager was super responsive whenever I called or texted . If you’re looking for a private bedrooms for a group of couples this is your Place. However in my opinion it would not accommodate 5 couples as one of the bedrooms needs to be accessed via the main bedroom off the kitchen . Still I give it 5 stars because we only had 3 couples! I would definitely book here again

Ample Space
This property was huge and accommodated my friends and I very well! Deidra was easy to get in contact with as well. My only concern with the property is the front door handle. It was too loose and didn’t make me feel to safe. I would recommend getting that fixed. But other than that, I enjoyed my stay!

Close to everything, lacks amenities
This property is very beautiful on the outside and has some beautiful areas inside. If you’re looking to stay in New Orleans with a large group and don’t mind bedrooms that require you to go through other bedrooms, then it’s fine. The heat and AC is window units, a couple of which are very loud, and is only in certain rooms. The Bathrooms without units were extremely cold during a cold spell. In addition, one had a large window in the shower, making it unusable without showing oneself off completely to the close neighbors. It’s going through some updates and has the opportunity to be improved upon with these concerns, as well as nicer amenities like a Keurig, some cooking items, more wine glasses, more toilet paper, etc. Plenty of towels and comfortable linens. Great location.

Great Space!
We stayed for a friend's weekend. The space was super clean and was perfect for our group with 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and 3 washers and dryers. The owner was a great communicator and we loved the ease of getting to and from the French Quarter via ferry. Would definitely stay again.
