Lovely stay in Dogpatch. Great area to walk around and the house itself was comfortable, clean, and full of character!

Lovely Victorian house in a nice walkable neighborhood. Comfortable with charming decor, lots of room, close to the Muni stop. Beautiful deck and yard with lots of plants, perfect for
your morning coffee. Also loved Piccino Italian restaurant within walking distance. Great communication with hosts, would definitely stay here again!

Our team was very pleased to share the house while in town on business. Great host, easy to communicate with and responded quickly. Great house. Would recommend.

We gathered to celebrate the holidays early this year in SF with our kids and grandkids! The house was perfect for us! Our kids live down the street, so it was soooo convenient. Our son from LA joined us too and the house was spacious enough to accommodate our festivities!

We had a great stay at David’s Dogpatch home. We were very comfortable, and loved the quiet neighborhood. We barely spent any time at the house, but loved the time that we did. Would absolutely recommend David’s place.

We enjoyed the house and the convenience of the location very much.

This property is the upper two floors of a charming Victorian house. It felt spacious for our family of 4 adults and we especially liked the two back decks. The neighborhood seems safe and the location is an easy walk to a small grocery and lots of dining options. We enjoyed The Daily Driver for bagel sandwiches and Piccino's coffee stand. The owner was promptly responsive to all our questions.
There are some things to be aware of. This is someone's home so all drawers, cabinets, the freezer, etc are filled with their belongings. The closets (with hangers) were, for the most part, empty for our use. There were a few maintenance issues that I have relayed to the owner. There is a sizable security deposit required for this property and VRBO holds onto it for two weeks after your check out date with a few more days processing after that, so it is a long time to be without a lot of money.
All in all, we had a satisfying and enjoyable stay here.

What a wonderful flat! I grew up in SF, the other side of town. The flat reminded me of my childhood home, something about old Victorians. The charm, the layout.
Beds were very comfortable, the footed tub a delight, the choice of sitting rooms!
David, the host was very communicative.
We were there for a weekend of baseball, I walked to Oracle each day, easy simple walk.
My favorite thing was the library in the room I was sleeping in. What an amazing collection of books!
We plan to make this a yearly trip, and will definitely consider staying here again.

My sister and her family stayed here while visiting us over the holidays and it was a fantastic place! Very spacious and well-appointed. Exactly as pictured. The location is also great — super close to all the Dogpatch restaurants/activity on 22nd and 3rd, but the house itself is very quiet.
We only had one little house issue during the stay and it was resolved right away. I’d definitely have friends or family stay here again!

We had a fabulous weekend in Dogpatch at this beautiful home. It was cozy and beautiful and had all the amenities (plus some!). The proximity to the adorable neighborhood shops, local dining options, and entertainment (check the house manual, they provided great recommendations!) was just what we were looking for during our trip with friends to the city. The home was a great layout to hose our crew, and we loved all the artwork and personal touches throughout the space. The host was extremely responsive and wanted to make sure we had a great stay in their home. We will absolutely be returning again!

We just left this perfect house in the Dogpatch area. It was such a great stay that we will definitely stay here again when we are in town. We were attending a conference at Moscone, and the house was super easy to go to-and-from either by Uber or on the 15 Bus (just 2 blocks away and drops you off right across from Moscone for $2.50). We loved the house, the comfortable beds, the cozy feeling and the back porch. Be sure to eat at Piccino which is just down the street -- we all agreed it was some of the best Italian food we've had in some time.
We look forward to returning to this wonderful home.

We really enjoyed our stay at this historic Victorian house in the Dogpatch. We were in San Francisco to explore the city with our 16 yr old granddaughter so we were out and about most of the time. It was great to have a spacious and comfortable home to come back to each day. Dogpatch is an "up and coming" neighborhood with a number of restaurants and coffee shops, several of which we walked to and tried out during our stay. Communication with David was excellent and we found nothing lacking in the amenities at the house, although we didn't cook anything while we were there. One thing to note is that there are quite a few steep stairs getting luggage into the house and up to the bedrooms on the top floor of the home. This wasn't a problem for us but it is something to consider if there are people in your party for which this may be difficult. As has been noted in other reviews, this house isn't a full-time rental so you need to be prepared to feel like you are in someone's home for a visit. We would definitely stay here again.

A beautiful, well-appointed home with easy access to the city by either light rail or ride share. Restaurants and shops within short walk.
One thing worth noting- in SanFrancisco (and increasingly in other locations), owners must actually live in the unit for the majority of the year, so you are renting their home, and not a commercial property.

Stayed here for my son's wedding - group of 6 adults. The home is even more spacious than you might realize from the listing, with plenty of living spaces and a huge kitchen and wonderful back deck for Dogpatch's sunny days. Immaculately clean, well furnished, with lots of art on the walls. The owner was very responsive and helpful. And the neighborhood was interesting, with ample dining options within walking distance.

We really enjoyed our stay at this great Victorian property. It was close to the T line on the MUNI so it was very easy to get around San Francisco. There were also some nice restaurants close by and quite a few locations that you could pick up any supplies that you would need be it food or something else. Our only disappointment, which was a BIG one for us (maybe not for others though) was the lack of cable or satellite TV. That is the reason that we wouldn't give this 5 stars as we have stayed at many places all over the world and this was the first without cable. That being said, we would definitely stay there again.

Great communication with David. The property was as pictured and described. Loved having all the the space for 3 generations of my family. Amazing small neighborhood restaurants within short walking distances

The house is lovely and historic, but updated with modern touches. I stayed here with my family while my sister was giving birth at UCSF. It's an extremely walkable neighborhood and nearby the hospital complex. We ate at nearby restaurants and shopped at local markets. The restaurant around the corner has amazing scones and coffee!
We used their full kitchen for cooking and their beautiful dining room for family meals. The hosts were very responsive and we had a lovely stay.

We had an excellent stay in the house, which was very spacious especially for the city. The neighborhood has a number of walkable restaurants and activities, with many parks nearby for kids. The hosts were great in communicating about check in and out - and made the whole process easy.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this authentic Victorian home. The house is located in a lovely neighborhood of similar homes on a tree lined street, in the Dogpatch, Portrero Hill area. The location is convenient to coffee shops, cafes, restaurants and train lines. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting. We enjoyed sitting out on the front steps watching the neighbors walk by with their dogs or sitting out on the back deck for a glass of wine.
David and his wife are attentive hosts and do their best to insure a comfortable stay and great experience.

This was the perfect place for my adult children and my husband and I to have a 4 day vacation. The cafes near by were awesome for getting excellent coffee in the morning...Piccino cafe and restaurant make the best coffee my husband has ever had! ..It was such a lovely neighbourhood to walk around in....we walked to Plow restaurant for breakfast...well worth the hour wait....a quick Uber to Fishermans wharf....a grassy park nearby for a fitness boot camp morning followed by breakfast right on the corner...
The house itself was so authentically old and yet very comfortable ...lots of space and light ....well kept and beautifully decorated.. we would stay there again in a heartbeat!

I was able to get this house for 2 weeks for some business colleagues of mine to stay in during a long work visit and they absolutely loved it!
The house is beautifully restored and kept. The layout of the house worked great and everyone was able to have their own space very comfortably.
The house is with in walking distance to several restaurants, cafes, brewery, and Muni to get downtown very easily!
Thanks David! The house was great.

Our family stayed about 5 days, the house was better than advertised and experience with the owner was awesome. David was very accommodating and always accessible if needed.

We had a terrific stay that this beautiful house in the "Dog Patch" neighborhood of San Francisco. The location was perfect for us. It's really only 15 to 20 minutes from the airport. Easy access to the bridges, downtown, and all the sights, without having to battle the traffic elsewhere in the middle of the city. This is an up-and-coming neighborhood that is transitional with a mixture of business and residential, but very safe and accessible. Some very nice restaurants, coffee houses, bakeries, and taverns within easy walking distance.
The house itself is wonderful. it's a charming Victorian that is nicely furnished, very clean and extremely comfortable. Feels like home. Probably the only downside is a fairly steep set of stairs from the sidewalk up to the front door. The house is actually the second and third floor of a duplex. It's not arduous, just something to consider. The good part is that there is lots of light and some nice views from the master bedroom. There are also two really inviting porches to sit on in good weather. I'm sure we'll be back, but meanwhile, we would happily recommend it. The owner is very nice and accommodating.
