About this house rental
Casa Bogart is a dog friendly(2 dog limit, legal, licensed nightly rental with a current Okanogan County health permit as required by law) is located just one block up “Pool Hall Hill” from the center of Town. Casa Bogart, originally built in the early 1900’s, was the 40-year home of former Winthrop Mayor Warren Badger and family and has recently been restored to its early 1900’s era charm. Visitors can enjoy sitting on the veranda, overlooking Winthrop and the surrounding hills and mountains. The fenced yard and garden is peace filled and gorgeous.
The house has three bedrooms, two full baths, and a fully-equipped kitchen, dining area and living room with flat screen smart TV and Blu-ray DVD player. Two bedrooms have queen beds and the third bedroom has a king bed. There is a sofa bed in a side room off one of the bedrooms. There is a 2-car carport with an EV 50 amp charging station and, of course, access to the decks and yard.
Though not licensed as 'disabled accessible', the house is all on one floor and is easy to maneuver in a chair. There is a low slope ramp on the SE side of the house from the carport to the low (~ 14”) SE deck. The entry door on this side of the house is 36” and once inside the house the NW Queen Suite is accessed through a 36” wide door as is the suite’s bathroom. During the winter the access to the ramp from the carport needs to be cleared of snow and ice. This is not done routinely, especially during times of heavy snowfall. During the winter we would request that anyone entering in a chair have a competent able-bodied person to assist them as needed. At this time the house does not have a roll-in or low-curb shower, only two tubs.

Immaculately kept, inviting and could easily handle more than one couple. The red appliances are a nice touch. The best part about Casa Bogart is the wrap around porch and backyard, from morning coffee to evening happy hour. Good home base for east side of North Cascades hiking. Highly recommend!

The location was absolutely ideal, just 1 block from the main part of town. The layout of the house was perfect for two families as each family had a “wing” with bedrooms and bathroom. The house was nicely updated while retaining its historic charm.

We had a good visit to Winthrop. The property is, as advertised, very close to the Main Street in Winthrop. It appears to be an older home that has been retrofitted, but it was comfortable and would be good for a group. The town of Winthrop is pretty limited as far as restaurants go. There is a bistro, but it’s small and the days/hours it’s open are quite limited. There is a brew pub which was pleasant, serving the standard pub fare.

Excellent property! Kitchen was very well equipped and the layout was excellent for multiple families. You can't beat the location and proximity to town. There is a BBQ even though the property description does not list it.

Great house & location!
Loved all the special decor and nice touches. Each bed had a quilt and even a few hanging. Room for all to spread out, relax indoors or walk 1 block and you are in the middle of town!
*Property should list it has a BBQ. 6 adults were provided 4 bath towels, so we had to do laundry.

80th birthday celebration!
Enjoyed our stay in this quirky older home. The artwork was playful and the house had an interesting floor plan that worked well for us. Loved the red kitchen appliances, retro indeed! The weather was perfect for sitting on the porch drinking a glass of local wine.

Casa Bogart Stay
Really loved the comfortable feel of this property. It was very convenient to main street with its many shops, bars and restaurants but felt very private and was quiet. The home had all essentials right down to the fully fenced yard. Lounging on the covered deck and enjoying the flowers was a favorite. Highly recommended!

Weekend rendezvous
Met my adult son and girlfriend here for a weekend of mountain biking, fishing and chilling. House is great and had everything thing we needed. Kitchen was pretty well furnished for cooking, great bbq, fantastic porch to chill on. Location was fantastic one small block away from center of town. Fenced garden was perfect for a lab puppy. Great find. Thank you.

The online photos don't adequately capture the charm of this property! We had three different families with us on this vacation and everyone said that they LOVED this property.

Great location--can't wait to go back!
Wonderful location so close to downtown yet still apart and with great privacy in the yard and views. Appreciated being in between Mazama and Twisp. Just a perfect location for exploring. House had everything we needed and appreciated the multiple options for dining and seating (kitchen table, dining room and outdoor picnic table!). Look forward to coming back again.

Amazing experience
Clean, centrally located. They did a great job fencing the property from the older Google views. We had a great time on the deck and private setting.
My only negative was, the east side of Washington was warmer. Who wooda thunk?
Will recommend it to anyone and all our friends, Thank you!
P.S. Support our local small towns before they are no more...
