We were in town overnight for an appointment at Yale the following day. The room was cramped, older and unremarkable.
We wanted a cheese and charcuterie board from room Service, expecting we could get both on one plate. We had to order cheese and meat separately. The cheese was fine, but a thin selection 2-3 cheeses. The meat tray was essentially sandwich sliced meat marketed as a charcuterie board. $79 with tip. The beat part, the baguette, but hardly worth the cost.

Had we known the hotel would be consumed with a herd of students. Took us 45 minutes to get an elevator. They should had told us

It's simple - don't go here, you'll overpay and be underwhelmed. They must pay for reviews, but the real reviews are elsewhere. Wish I checked first, because this website makes this place sound amazing. It's not. Not even close.
- Unprofessional staff
- Slow check in
- Thin walls - you can hear people in halls, next door, above and below!! You’ll hear flushing, people on the phone, tv's, doors slamming, showers. Everything. The worst.
- Tight garage is dirty
- Bathroom smelled moldy
- Quality is middle of the road. Pretty much no ammenities whatsoever.
- Cheap bed and pillows and sheets.
- Wifi is NOT free, paid only to sucker people into their rewards to take more personal info from you.
- Leaving parking lot was annoying, key card didn't even work
Overall and mediocre experience, I'll never go to an "Omni" or related brand of this hotel again.

Awful service. First night there and was never informed of some party going in bar upstairs went complained. Was moved to a room with A/C Not working they said they had no rooms to move me to brought in a box fan for me to use. Was told next day to go and request a room which I did and was told there were no more rooms contacted corporate to complain. Next day was told again threatened to contact corporate and magically a room became open. They said they would give me a free night anywhere omni is located and credited me $100 only after I fought with them. Trip was completely ruined.
Never got the free night to any where they will give a free night to stay with them which I will never be back. This place is shady they dont keep what they promised and you have to fight and involve corporate to get anything accomplished.

No heat! Finally got a space heater and that worked.

A very good hotel centrally located in New Haven/Yale. The Yale area provided for a super beautiful evening/morning walk. Close to many restaurants as well. Hotel was extremely tidy, beds were comfy and breakfast was amazing - with a view!

Their propoert and service are great. It would also be good if people making travel bookings with Hotels.com could get late check out as well,

It would have been nice to have a heads up about the strike

Lovely hotel with friendly staff. It is an older hotel, but I like that. The beds were comfortable, good lighting and the room was a corner room with a good view of the city. There were modern conveniences like usb ports and a Nespresso machine. I will definitely be staying there again.

The property was under a strike and the picketers started at 7am. I would have liked the property to notify me ahead of time about the strikers. Also the area was unnervingly noisy. It was Saturday night so some activity was expected, however the property should consider noise cancelling window inserts.

Walkable to enjoy New Haven

We checked in late and the staff were great on our arrival, gifted us free drinks at the bar and cheered up our moods after our long trip. All the staff were great from check-in to check-out.
There was clearly a protest taking place outside (labour dispute and wages?) but the staff who were working did their absolute best to make up for it and there was complementary breakfast and coffee.
Overall an absolute amazing stay, and i would highly recommend.

It’s ok didn’t get the room I wanted but it was decent

The hotel is very outdated.
The walls have little sound barrier insulation. The street noise was the worst I’ve experienced. Doors slamming and staff talking loudly in the morning added to my frustration and restlessness. Again, this hotel needs insulation and updates immediately. Not a restful sleep but a great location in town. Staff was apologetic and tried to accommodate.

Great option for family wedding only hiccup was the understaffed valet parking. Park in the garage below hotel and save 6.00. We were late to our wedding as a result of this understaffed valet service.

Staff was excellent room was nice lots of windows in the room but just views of rooftops and buildings. Neighborhood was terrible. Don’t think I’ll ever visit New Haven again.

Booked via Hotels.com, room offered on 4th floor with not so great city view, AC leak in the room.

Good service

Service is very mediocre. Bath gel was empty and had to ask two days in a row to finally receive some. The toilet was barely flushing and bathroom was so small. None of the extras you would expect from an Omni.

Everyone was very courteous. Customer service was top notch! From Management to housekeeping and all around.

Great hotel, conveniently located for commuting with Yale’s residential colleges. Service is very good

We were on the 15th floor and were able to hear street noise (drag racing motorcycles and music) until (last time I looked at the clock) 2:05 a.m. The block around the hotel was crowded with people yelling (not in a happy or celebratory way). Three men got into a fight 50 feet from the front door. When we complained to the front desk, we were told that it is always this way and police don't do anything. I feel it necessary to say that we frequently stay at hotels in downtown Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York, and Boston and have never been afraid to walk to a restaurant. Very disappointing for an Omni and the town that houses Yale.

Unsafe noisy dirty neighborhood.

Hotel is old and dated. Definitely not worth the price. Convenient to Yale.

Staff was very friendly. Rooms nice, clean and comfortable.

Honestly, the staff was nice and I know they can't control the environment around the hotel, but the noise from the nightclubs on street level was unbearable. We were on the 6th floor and the noise went on well beyond 2am - at which point police came to clear the street and left police sirens running for almost another hour. It wasn't quiet until almost 3:45am and we barely slept. Our room did overlook the front street, so maybe one further back wouldn't be as bad, but after our one night I would NEVER recommend it. Beyond that, I received an email stating that the parking lot would be closed on the day we're leaving and to park in a different garage, and a discount ticket would be provided, but then the ticket didn't work and we had to pay for parking because we were already at the gate and needed to get out. Before that, we waited almost 20 mins to get an elevator down to the lobby - we attempted to take the stairs and ended up behind multiple doors that were locked or marked "employees only" so we had to treck back up to the 4th floor and continue waiting for an elevator. Sineage really needs to be clearer - it would be really tricky in an emergency. Overall, it felt like a really frustrating stay and I can't recommend it, but the room was clean.

Undoubtedly the worst experience I have ever had at an Omni Hotel. First of all I was charged a deposit in addition to my room charges upon arrival which exceeded the total cost of the 6 day stay. Second there were no room privacy signs available for the rooms and at 9, 10 and 11 am the housekeeping staff was constantly knocking on my door despite my request to have no service. Hotel security roamed the halls, smoking and were extremely rude. I was accosted by homeless individuals every time I entered or left the hotel and then remembered security was roaming the halls of the hotel...Finally the restaurant staff was extremely pushy and the prices were over inflated. Not a pleasant experience.

The hotel is quite old & needs some update all around, i.e. bathroom, furniture, TV, etc. Appreciate the Nespresso maker in the room, but missing stirrers, creamer, for instance. TV is not an older TV-not SMART TV. Appreciated being allowed to check in at 2pm, but the room doors slam hard each time. Why assign such a terrible room when there are ample rooms available. I requested a change and was reassigned a much better room. First room was looking down on the ugly roof of the building next door w/ all the HVAC units. Doors need a “closer” to shut quietly. Sound insulation is also needed. Can hear flushing toilets, showers, etc. Many places to eat around the hotel. Wrong turn & is an edgy Downtown.

Average hotel. Questionable neighbourhood surrounded by homeless people. Extortionate car parking prices.

The staff and service was great and was helpful at any given opportunity! Hotel is beautiful and clean . Parking is tough on the weekends due to bar people.

We checked in for 1 night and had to change rooms 3 times. The 1st room was handicapped, there 2nd room had rain coming into it through the windows, and the 3rd room had gritty stuff in the tub. Ironically this was their “premier” room. It was extremely noisy until 3 am as there is a bar across the street. Would not do this again

Hotel needs serious renovating, update restaurant on 19th floor. Needs renovation in the lobby, rooms bathrooms, hallways etc. Too old fashioned, looks like a 1980s hotel.
Hotel needs a small convenience store or self market. To buy things like… advil, toothpaste, soda, juice, snacks, etc. Hotel charges are way too expensive to NOT have complimentary breakfast and or parking.

Hotel is elegant, classy and staff if really nice from the front desk to the cleaning lady, bellman and restaurant staff.
Great breakfast buffet at John Davenport restaurant on the 19th floor.

No bathroom in lobby. Convenience store closed at 5 pm so no place to get a soda or bottled water.
Ice machine on 6th floor was broken.
