Room was very clean. The breakfast was excellent and the staff very friendly. To sum up our stay I would say superb value for money.

We booked a family room. The sofa bed was like a metal rack and when we asked for more than one pillow (wafer thin) each we were told that the hotel had run out of pillows….. It didn’t look even half full. Also we were proudly presented with a piece of paper at check in telling us breakfast finished at 10…..went down at 9.30 to discover they had decided (presumably during the night?!) that it would finish at 9.30. Still I got to have a moist bread roll…which I suppose was at least an experience I’ve never had.
4.3
Excellent stay for a football match and the staff were super helpful getting an early check in before a 3pm kick off.
Breakfast served and was fantastic!
Look forward to next years away fixture and to stay here again.
4.3
Fantastic and very helpful staff. However we asked for more pillows and were told they had a shortage so we had one pillow each which was far from comfortable. There were only two single sockets in the room which wasn’t great for a family. We paid a premium for a Saturday night so we were a bit disappointed overall.
4.3
No phone in the room to contact reception, found out the next morning we needed to scan a QR code to contact reception!
Received a parking fine even though we registered our car (not the first time this has happened)
Location was good.
Beds wasn’t comfy and the sofa bed was positioned so we couldn’t access kettle facility
4.3
was disappointed not to have a double bed in my room
4.3
Clean, comfortable- standard for a Holiday Inn.
Buffet breakfast was plentiful
4.3
Excellent service by all the staff

Usually stay at another well known budget hotel..We were delighted with this hotel..The cost was much cheaper than the orher one and the fact that it included a good breakfast. The staff were brilliant and helpful We will be staying with Holiday express in the future..well done.

I stayed for 4 nights. Staff were extremely pleasant, helpful and professional. Breakfast was delicious and dining space large I have given my review a 4* because of 2 things.
The water pressure in the shower was very poor. Only strong enough when cold but adding heat made the water limp out of the shower head. The other important thing was the car parking. You are required to pay £5 per 24 hours to park on site ( this was waived in my case for which I was grateful) however, there is no guarantee that you will be able to get a space and this is pointed out on their details ( first come first served basis). Twice I returned to the hotel to find I had to park in a disabled spot as there was no alternative. This seems rather odd to me and really the only item which was a puzzle. Non-hotel guests can park here with Pay and Display so hotel residents had no priority. I have stayed here before and so this is a new thing.
All in all, I would recommend Holiday Inn Stoke-on-Trent with their reasonable rates and good accessibility to Stoke-on-Trent and surrounding areas, as close to the A500 and the M6.

Good value hotel located near a major road (A50) for easy access to the city. Very clean and comfortable with frieldly staff. Breakfast buffet was very good.
4.3
The cheeky beggars charge you for parking!!! I could understand if I wasn’t a resident but no…..they charge for parking my car in their hotel whilst I’m staying there. Otherwise the hotels OK and staff were nice.
4.3
Staff friendly and accommodating.
Room met all of our needs, breakfast was a good variety of items.
4.3
Very basic..good choice awful. Had to pay for parking!!

Ive stayed at lots of holiday inns and this is not 1 id visit again room so small we couldnt even access the kettle without moving a heavy bed no room to move around the room as a family of 4 the space was a joke. Breakfast although included in the room price was awful all under cooked slimey eggs white bacon white sausages no fruit or yougarts all unhealthy options very limited choice compared to every other ive stayed in and breakfast was a complete mess watered down juices to the point they didnt taste of juice coffee that tasted like the water hadnt been changed 4 a week just nasty. Staff where not rude but extremely unhelpful when needed even 4 simple requests like timings and food requests ordered food in the evening after a 6 hour drive to have to send it back due to it being cold and not what was advertised just a very poor experience as i no how good holiday inns can be and went out of my way to book one for this reason.

Excellent hotel. I stayed with my son so we could go to the football the following day, it made life easy. Lovely breakfast that was in with the price of the hotel.
4.3
Begrudge having to pay to park a car when staying at the hotel
4.3
Great hotel, friendly staff, garden in rear for kids to play
4.3
We have stayed here before as it is convenient and breakfast is included.
You now have to pay for parking, which was not detailed in the booking I made.
Road signs to hotel would be helpful, as some roads were closed due to a match at the stadium.
4.3
Well we got there at 3 but our room wasn’t ready till 3.40 then we went to it we found out it was a disabled room. Went for food at night but they said they ain’t going to do it tonight they said the harvest was open bit we went for dinner
4.3
Was a bit disappointed at the extra price for carpark
4.3
Harvester next door that is nice. Bed good pillows a bit old. AC worked. Soft drinks from the bar are expensive.
4.3
OK for an overnight stay. The room was quiet despite there being a large party of youngsters in the hotel. Good choice of breakfast in the morning. My only qualm would be with having to pay a parking charge
4.3
Great stay, reception were very accommodating. Made us feel very welcome. X

the cleaning lady was very nice and polite, the concierge was very helpful in offering late check out till 12pm to accommodate my husband's non-scheduled meeting, the hot food, esp pan cake at the buffet breakfast was very good and refill quickly

Exactly what we expected, the staff very friendly and welcoming. Room clean and comfortable.

Another lovely family stay at the Holiday Inn Express for our annual trip to Alton Towers
4.3
Working away and decided to get a room for the night. This option came up and I was lucky. I got a room and the hotel is located right next door to a Harvester restaurant very convinient! Room was lovely and comfy and clean. Staff were great and available. The bar is manned by the reception staff BUT the bar is attached to the reception area so you don’t need to wait long for a pint or a juice. Nice big reception area with TVs all around. Slight downfall but the parking lot is huge, empty and you gotta pay!! Unfortunately a lot of hotels have gone down this greed path but hey ho! All around a nice stay!
4.3
Great welcome after an awful journey! Very clean & comfy room for 2 nights. Loved the food at The Harvester next door.
4.3
Good location, easy to locate, plenty of parking. Standard size and quality of rooms for a Holiday inn. Functional, it has the basics.
4.3
We stayed here to then go Alton Towers in the morning with my young kids, nice hotel with good breakfast.
Wish i had known about the membership as this would have saved me money and was the second time Staying here.
4.3
This was more like a hotel room in America meaning it was bigger. It did not have a fridge or microwave but did offer a continental breakfast. The room and bathroom was clean. We'd stay again.
4.3
A very refreshing 2 night stay. Comfortable sleep and serviced by a professional and friendly staff. Thank you.
4.3
Easy to find. Not keen on paying parking separately, especially as charge has not appeared on my account yet. Glad I opted to get a receipt for parking for peace of mind.

Good

Trip and stays were good.
4.3
We booked a family room, the sofa bed was made up for us on our arrival which was great but it was so uncomfortable. It would make more sense for family rooms to have 2 proper beds in.
We only used the restaurant for breakfast but i would like to mention how fantastic Melissa was, she got milk for my toddlers bottles and even rinsed the bottles afterwards so we didnt have stake milk in the bottles all day. She went above and beyond and absolutely made the stay.
4.3
A one night stopover for us on our way to Scotland.Easy to get to from the M6 with a Harvester Restaurant right next door. There was a small parking fee due to the Stoke City football ground just across from the Hotel This was our guarantee of having a place to park. The room was comfortable with the usual facilities.Breakfast was very good with choices for both English and Continental styles.
