The beach was well kept and beautiful. We did have an issue with our room , but they accommodated and moved us to a different room. The water park was pretty dated, but overall fun. The dining options were great, and the staff was amazingly kind, accommodating, and worked very hard. This is a little bit of a busy resort, which I expected. If you’re looking for something up beat this is the place.

You’re getting what you pay for staying here. It’s not a bad property overall but the food is not good.

Just came back from Riu Macao and wanted to thank all the entertainment staff, can’t remember all their names but special thanks to Willie, Iderya, David. And Rosa for serving us each night at the nightly show. You All Rock! We will definately be back. Check out the Sports Bar and Shakira will always serve you with her bright smile and is super friendly.

When arriving to the resort around 2pm my room wasn’t available (which was fine because checkin was at 3 or 4 I believe) my husband and I waited for our cousin to arrive which was 15 minutes later. There room was available. They go to their room and wasn't happy with it said it smelled moldy and didn’t like the tub in the middle. They finally get a different room much updated room. We get to our room and it’s the room that my cousin initially was assigned to. We didn’t find anything wrong with it because my husband likes bathtubs. Me on the other hand is a woman of a certain age group and like the room to be cooler, the air worked but not to my liking, the toilet flushed sometime and then we would have to take the top off to let the water come in to flush it. This was the only issue we had. The staff Carlos, George, Willie, Jesus were all amazing and took great care of us. Food was good and they did an amazing job with helping with surprising my cousin when her kids showed up for their wedding renewal. I left off other staff can’t think of names but everyone was wonderful

This was our first time going to an all-inclusive. Riu palace Macao was perfect for us. Nice balance between relaxing and entertainment. The staff was amazing. Expedia made transportation and booking excursions easy and safe through destination services.

The hotel in general is super good in general terms... the staff is super friendly and attentive... The pool and room towels smelled strong, I don't know if it was chlorine or some product they used to wash them... the room is decently good but the first day I couldn't sleep because of the smell of humidity in the room and I have to be grateful that the next day the head of the cleaning staff sent them to change the cabins and clean the room. The air conditioning in the room doesn't cool, it only lowered the temperature of the room a little... the best thing about the hotel is its friendly and super attentive staff all the time...

My room had a very mildew-y smell compared to the rooms of my fellow travelers.

The resort was nice Expedia showed an option for one king bed or two full beds but it didn’t let you choose which one. The resort did switch us to a king bed the 2nd day. Responses for room issues were hit and miss on the first day we didn’t have a tv remote and even though they said they would get us one we had to call the next morning to get the remote. We ordered room service and we had to call a second time after over an hour to actually get the food. The Italian restaurant didn’t leave a good impression. Other than that everything was good.

Rui Macao was everything and more. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious. The day of my birthday, I received complimentary champagne and my room was completely decorated. It was beautiful. The views are incredible and you can visit the sister resorts. Overall it was a great birthday celebration.

We had a fantastic honeymoon at RUI Palace Macao! Bermudez who worked the swim up bar everyday we stayed was not only the happiest, most attentive person at the resort, but positive and goes the extra mile. He’s essential to the resort.

Over all this is a really great resort & I would return. The staff is so kind, friendly & helpful. I didn’t love that the dining experiences weren’t at the same level as the buffet, the pool is a bit too warm & accessing the rooms at the far ends of the main building is a long walk or stairs, there’s only elevators in the main lobby.

The front desk staff couldt be worse! The lack customer service and don’t even have a clue of the room renovations around the complex. The staff in the main buffet restaurant seem to always be fighting on the floor in front of guests… if you ask for something, it feels like you are actually bothering them. The hotel staff (in general) should learn about top notch service like the one provided in Mexico resorts! Don’t stay here and try to book your stay at the RIU PALACE instead.

*Disappointing Stay - Overhyped and Overpriced*
Unfortunately, my experience at this establishment failed to meet my expectations. The food menu was repetitive and lacked variety, with the same dishes served every day. While a short stay of a day or two might be tolerable, the prices don't justify the offerings.
As a vegetarian, I was disappointed to find no options catering to my dietary needs. Moreover, the hotel's attention to detail was lacking, evident in the absence of basic amenities like "do not disturb" tags for the doors. This resulted in constant interruptions, with staff and others knocking on my door repeatedly.
To make matters worse, my laptop was moved from the side table to the floor, causing damage and rendering it non-functional. The security team's overzealousness was also a nuisance, as they refused to let my taxi driver enter the premises, forcing me to walk 15 minutes in the scorching heat to reach the gate.
Overall, my stay was subpar, and I wouldn't recommend this place to others. With its inflated prices and under delivered services, it's best to explore alternative options.

Very welcoming and cozy. Like a vacation at home and it’s due to the staff interacting with the tourists that way people get to know each other thru the daily activities and all become one big family. Food is great and lots of dining options although for me it’s never a problem since I just eat meat all kinds of meat and that’s it. Lots of greenery and palm trees to cool you off all around. The beach was solid and the pools were big although I never stepped foot in one because I have some here where I live I came for the ocean water. The architecture and setup of this Riu I liked. It was very clean and the rooms were solid too. I’m big into fitness so I’m going to critique the gym a little bit but it can do the job you just have to be a creative expert as such. Nightlife is alive since every night there’s a different show and entertainment either in Riu or right outside so a walking distance of the resort. Overall I liked it a lot and have been there twice so far. 9/10
