The location is unbeatable - literally a few minutes away from piazza san Marco. However the location is also an issue. I had a room with a window on the first floor out of 3 (ground, 1 to 3), but the window opens out to a noisy restaurant below which generally does not close until 10pm and there will be noise until 11 or 12 midnight. This can be tolerated but smokers below mean you can smell cigarettes before 10am and after 11pm (before and after the restaurants operating hours) if you open the window. At 8am you will also hear the nearby bell tower ringing but this was fine for me. Bring ear plugs for a good sleep. The staff were lovely, the place was very clean although there are mosquitoes in the bathroom and this can’t be avoided in Venice. The hotel offered a free but simple breakfast which I very much appreciated. The location and price cannot be matched but may not suit those sensitive to noise or cigarettes.

Everything was perfect!

This hotel was nice enough but had some flaws. Our room was very dated and needs to be updated, the carpet and furniture were old. The shower stall has two sliding doors and one was barely still attached so we had to be careful with it. The breakfast was very nice, especially those staffing it. The location was pretty solid.

The hotel is in a superb location in the centre of San Marco & minutes from st marks square however the room was dark& pokey. There’s a nice terrace on the roof but only open for the breakfast which was a shame. Hotel reception only open during day time & otherwise no one there!

Had a very nice stay at a sister hotel from the same group, the Panada. The manager of Citta di Milano personally accompanied me to my room at the other hotel since the one I booked was full. The rooms are really like on the pictures, with a nice tapestry and wooden furniture that makes for an authentic stay. The Panada is in a busy area just minutes away from Piazza San Marco. Points for improvements would be the bathroom and overall slightly dusty feeling of the room. The breakfast room could also be rearranged as the place tends to be very busy due a tight space for too many guests. Staff was very helpful and professional, I would be happy to stay again

Room with bad lighting and bathroom had the worst light as possible. The shower in bathroom was just spilling water outside everywhere.
The beds were not comfy but AC was good for hot Venice weather.
Breakfast had no basic options like bread, eggs, salad etc.

Limited space for luggage. Reception was difficult to find

This was our 4rt time to stay in this hotel . I olways was bragging about this hotel and recommended to my friends and family if they decided to visit Venice reserve it. For convenience service. But after our last stay we are disappointed come to find out it's no staff in hotel after hours. So if something to happen you on your one. We didn't find any information if the room what to do in case of emergency. I want recommended this to anyone anymore.

I had to go looking for someone to let me in to this hotel. I had read a review saying it was hard to get in and find so I figured if I just followed the email instructions to a T, I could find the hotel and there would be instructions for entry. We were so tired and went asking at restaurants and a waiter finally walked me over to the other hotel where the staff was. Vacation shouldn’t be this hard.

No air conditioning working which made room extremelystuffy, only one plug in room, no duvet just blankets, bed base also ripped..
Very poor lighting in room and bathroom, so no good for make up for women.
Although you keep cases at hotel they were put under stairs and there no security or tagging so anyone could just pick them up.
Breakfast is basic continental with little choice.

Property was clean safe. The staff was very helpful. The beds were a little old but manageable but overall I’ve stayed in a lot of places in Venice and I would stay there again.

The place is well taken care of, clean and the property was in a great area. However we couldn’t get the AC to work making the room uncomfortably hot at night.

Room booked for four was too small. Fitted four beds (two pull out from sofas) but nothing else.

Great location..a few minutes walk to San Marco Square. Beds were comfortable although there was a strange smell in the room. The room was hot and air conditioning didn't seem to be working so opened the windows. Cooled the room down but as there are no screens on the windows, mosquitoes got in at night. Staff were excellent.

On a plus side the hotel staff on reception were very friendly and helpful, a little difficult to find through the arch but found it in the end. Hotel was dark wood and very old fashioned and tiny room, old blankets on the bed that looked like they needed throwing out. Bed sheets clean but overall was ok as was out all day.

This is a very nice hotel with polite staff. Breakfast is available for an addition ten euros and it’s worth it. There’s a lot of meats, cheeses, fruits and pastries. They also have gluten free and lactose free choices.

We loved our stay and give it 5 stars within the price point and category! While there were fancier hotels around, this one had great charm, smooth check in, elevator, and comfortable accomodations. Not a bad walk from Rialto Bridge ferry stop, and excellent shopping and restaurants nearby! We will definitely stay again if we return!

Paulo was very accomodating and very nice. The hotel is in few minutes walk to St Mark's square and Rialto Bridge

Our experience at this hotel was amazing. There’s an elevator available and also breakfast that can be included. Conveniently situated as well. We would definitely come back here.

The rooms were small but richly appointed. The hotel is central so we could stop back many times a day to cool down in the air conditioning.

The hotel is ideally located for a weekend in Venice. The rooms are clean, and the bathrooms are spacious. Hotel personnel is polite, check in , check out process is quick. The breakfast offered is basic but nice, in a beautiful terrace. If found at a good price, the hotel is excellent value for money.

They have nobody to do check in and make us waste our time from one hotel to another since the owner has 2 more hotels more than 1 hour at midnight with my elderly mom who was tired and scare breakfast horrible no eggs just coffe, beds terrible

Hotel is run down bathroom shower rail came down no plug in sink . Electric sockets hanging out of the walls, dangerous entrance at back of hotel via a dirty tunnel noisy the front door bangs and restaurant in front.

Nothing like the pictures. We were led two streets away to a doorway which we then struggle to find later. Rooms were basic, 1plug point, moldy bathroom, views on to brick walls. If I’d been staying longer, I would’ve checked out

Check-in was terrible. We had to go to a different hotel, hotel San Zulian (apparently part of the same business). However, this was not explained so we went to Hotel Citta di Milano to be confronted with a locked door and no information. Had to call and was given directions of where to go. Could have been so much easier!
The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean and comfortable.
Breakfast was pretty awful.

The hotel we booked was Citta Di Milano. Reception and breakfast were in Hotel Panada and our room was in Hotel Diana- across the street from Panada (2 meter away :) ) . This was very strange. But the place was great - 1 min. walk to San Marco. The room was good, clean with a mini bar and nice TV. Breakfast was poor - a croisant, small bread, juice, yogurt, honey, jam and a coco cream. You had to ask for butter, because they don't bring it. Very slow service in the breakfast area. Overall nice hotel, but they need to improve breakfast.

A bit difficult to find, but a good stay. Really enjoyed breakfast and the room was clean and functional.
