Loved the breakfast buffet with omelet station. Cozy room and friendly staff.

Was approved for an upgrade to a junior suite and then denied upon check in.

This is my second stay here, and this room, especially the bathroom, surpasses my last stay in comfort.
4.0
Great location with walking distance to bars, restaurants shopping and several universities. Close to airport and many interesting towns along the water to visit. Comfortable room with nice bath products and big towels. City noise got a little loud Saturday night but we played white noise on our phone. Good breakfast options and friendly staff. Valet went over and above to make sure our car was out front bf he came on duty so we could catch a plane.

The hotel needs to do something about the homeless hanging around the front of the hotel. As we were not familiar with the area, it was a little unnerving to be approached by some of these people asking for money.

Love this charming boutique hotel. Walkable to many dining options and anywhere in Providence. Comfortable bed and a very roomy bathroom. I would definitely stay here again.

I didn't use any services, but the front desk clerk was quite friendly. While the bathroom was clean and the body products were high quality, there was a musty smell. I believe it was possibly the shower curtain. Also, I recommend a night light be installed in the bathroom.

Centrally located in downtown Providence, the hotel is a short walk to everything that Providence has to offer. Complimentary snacks and spacious rooms. Offsite valet parking was expensive ($40 per night), but otherwise, was an affordable stay in Rhode Island.

The staff were very nice, although the meeting room was extortionately expensive. The whole hotel needs updating, it’s very 90s looking.

Small, but sweet has the feel of a small European hotel.
3.0
The room was in good condition, however, a musty or animal smell was persistent and made the room feel kind of gross. The staff was wonderful, however, the large number of sketchy people around the exterior of the hotel made it feel pretty unsafe.
6.0
Definitely not a high end experience. The service (other than the valet) was mediocre. The rooms feel very old.

Paper thin walls. Could hear every word of our neighbors’ conversation at 1:45 am. But nice staff, good shower, comfy beds, semi-reasonable rates. Just couldn’t sleep!

Wonderful stay! Close to tons of food and shopping options. We were taling our kid to school at JWU and the hotel is super close! The staff were helpful and attentive and valet was so easy. We will absolutely stay here when we visit our Wildcat!

I booked a room through Expedia and when I arrived at the reception they informed me that they were fully booked. I complained with Expedia and it took them 1 week to get the money back. Total rip off organization at that hotel. Reception stuff clueless.

No restaurants close.
You need uber to restaurants

Very nice and clean.

The area around the hotel is very nice and safe with plenty of restaurants and walkable. The hotel itself is out dated. We were at the 4th floor of Westminster tower, the room interior is old. Bathroom shower door doesn’t seal, a lot of water on the floor after one shower. Also, the two windows we have are facing a wall only a few feet in front of us, basically no view at all.

Nice hotel in centrum down town.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean. Rooms/furniture old and bathrooms in disrepair- need updating. Drug addiction clinic next door and people outside the building constantly asking for money, so it was a little scary walking outside of building.
6.0
Not at all as advertised. Not a safe street, even though it is supposed to be in nice part of town. Did not feel safe walking on the street surrounded by sketchy, drugged up people, out in the open. Just disheartening to witness. Hotel is a bit odd, different elevators, room smelled old and unclean. Kids had nightmares, thank god we stayed only one night.

Hotel Providence is a beautiful hotel in itself. Its downfall is the location. Its in the middle of the city. Valet parking is $40 a day which was not mentioned anywhere when it was booked. Other parking options are two parking garages about a block away. Only one is overnight parking which ranged from $35-$62. The other downfall of the hotels location is its placed across the street from a church which feeds/helps homeless people. One the same side of the street is a place for recovering addicts. There is nothing wrong with these places however walking to your vehicle or walking away from the hotel can be intimidating at times. We were asked for money everytime we left the hotel. There is also no security in the hotel allowing anyone to walk into the hotel. Not even a card swipe outside to let guests only in. Valet and Front Desk staff were very helpful and polite

We've stayed here previously and enjoyed ourselves, but this visit was a much poorer experience. This hotel used to have charm, but it no longer has any of that in the rooms that they're updating. The rug was pulled up and a linoleum floor was put in with a very modern look. The service was very lackluster except for the valet drivers - each one of them were fabulous! I just think we've outgrown this hotel and don't need to stay there any longer.

Streets smell like urine, lots of homelessness in this area of Providence (literally across the street at the church), unsafe and dirty area! Homeless people take over the restaurant patio and we saw a pimp and his victim in the lobby (not really hotel staff’s fault but it’s sad to see). Not a pleasant place for families if you ask me.
Pre-checked in - told them we needed a cot and extra sheets - took them an hour after getting into our room to bring up the items. We had dinner plans and this screwed up our plans. Also made reservation for 4 people - only 2 towels.
Housekeeping seems understaffed.
Rooms are quite dated. They rave about being a 4 diamond hotel - we certainly didn’t have that level of experience.

Fabulous hotel ! Room (junior suite) was excellent. Lots of comfortable space with a large bathroom.
Excellent service to unlock the room safe that the previous guest had locked when leaving. Maintenance arrived only 10 mins after I called reception.
Complimentary coffee and snacks in the lounge.
Great location for bars, restaurants, toyrs etc. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Property is in significant need of a rooms renovation. Staff is friendly but total number of employees are limited. We had to wait 20 minutes for someone to come to reception so we could check in. Gym mats have near been cleaned and are very dirty.

The hotel was great. The staff were extremely pleasant and accommodating. Snacks and drinks were always available in the lobby. There was a lack of outlets in the bathroom which made getting ready a little cumbersome at times, but that and parking are our only negatives. Parking is at a remote location (even valet) so that was unfortunate. Luckily the surrounding area was peaceful and there were not too many worries there.
We were in walking distance from just about everywhere we wanted to go during our stay, so that was a huge plus. We walked from morning until later at night and never felt unsafe. Highly recommend staying at Hotel Providence!
