Stay was nice, close to family and good location for city centre

Just what we needed. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean room. Comfy bed. Great food for evening meal and the Breakfast. Beautiful views. Would certainly stay again
4.2
Looks like cargo containers modified to stay. One could hear people talking in next room.
4.2
Room was very small ,double bed & you struggled to pass it to get to shut the curtains, noisy ,hot & stuffy, no air con ,no restaurant open
Stains in the toilet, leaky small shower & if you sat on the toilet you banged your elbows on the sink& wall
Oh & don't forget the extra £10 to park your car
I will definitely avoid the place in the future

We chose this place because it was close to the City of Bath - but not in the City, and its on the River. It's a beautiful spot, the Old Mill waterwheel still runs, it's super peaceful. There is a restaurant, the food and service were great - even though the Chef only started a week ago.
Would definitely stay here again if we were in the area. Highly recommend the Old Mill Hotel in Bath.

Extremely hospitable night manager, excellent breakfasts, clean room, lovely spot.

Staff extremely helpful especially with transport as buses were being diverted due to roadworks.

i’m so glad i decided to book this hotel for a few days break. the setting is amazing along side the river. from the moment we arrived until we left every member of staff that we came across, we’re so friendly and couldn’t do enough to help us. which unfortunately is not the normal nowadays. the rooms are spotless and cleaned each day. all in all a hotel that i would recommend to anyone. Tom

Beautiful place to stay, lovely reception from all staff.
Very steep stairs to room.

We had a superior twin room but found it very cramped, not much storage and only 1 chair. It was very hot and when we asked for a fan we were told there wasn’t any and they didn’t advertise the hotel as having air con in rooms. We had a balcony door but couldn’t open as was above the outside bar area where we had the pleasure of inhaling everyone’s smoke. We were given a fan the following morning after stating that they may find us passed out on floor! We ran out of the one toilet roll we had and on asking the male cleaner for another one he actually went and checked the toilet before giving us a cheap toilet roll. Breakfast was lovely and the surrounding scenery of the hotel was beautiful but with the experience we had we will not be returning.
4.2
Historic setting of the property was unique.
4.2
The hotel staff were excellant very friendly very helpful giving us advice on places to visit
The food was excellant from breakfast to evening meals which were good value for money
The hotel was a little tired it needed a little upgrading with the paintwork the room was not very big but that wasn’t a problem
We would recommend it because we felt comfortable there and the surrounding area was beautiful
4.2
Beautiful setting. Looks a little run down but don’t be put off. Room was small but spotless and the breakfast which was included in the price was fantastic!
4.2
Friendly staff, clean and comfortable hotel. River view rooms are a little noisy with the water wheel but this can be turned off if necessary. Nice breakfast options, quality ingredients. Evening meal choices were a little limited but reasonable priced.
4.2
The most beautiful hotel I have ever had the pleasure of staying in. Easy and convenient public transit into the city centre with two bus stops within five minute walking distance from the hotel. The restaurant was delicious and affordable. Highly recommend
4.2
Furniture is new and modern, mattress is firm and very comfy, toilet is spacious and mirror with build-in light, housekeeper is nice and helpful, receptionist gives precise travel information. we attend breakfast late, but waitress very helpful, omelette was served as order to made and of good size, ingredient is fresh but a bit overcook.

Overall facilities are dated and needed refurbishment, eg door lock and shower tap are tight and are difficult to operate. Also, be careful with parking there. I did pay the parking fee at check in but received a letter of fine one week after my stay claiming I haven't registered and paid. Even though I made the appeal, I received the 2nd letter stating they will lower the fine from £100 to £20. But why should I pay the fine given I have paid parking already. Then I called the hotel and asked them to clarify with the parking management company and finally it's sorted out. Honestly, the experience is not good and I won't stay here again. However, the restaurant is worth a try without staying in the hotel. Both dinner and breakfast are good, very delicious.

Would recommend.
4.2
It was nice it had parking, tight but manageable.
Hard to keep the water in the shower. Slept very well in the twin beds. Liked the view of the mill wheel and the white noise it provided. The eggs Benedict were tasty if cold.

Lovely. , can recommend.

In the past i have stayed in the main building and had a good experience, this time i was in the lodge as they call it, which all in all was very poor, very small, alot of things didnt work and it was pretty grubby
4.2
over all it was fine
4.2
Beautiful area. Basic hygiene very good. Older separate building needs maintenance.
Would come again.
4.2
Lovely hotel right on the river got a working water wheel, the staff were very friendly the breakfast was amazing, the room we was in was lovely but a little too small there was nowhere to hang anything and no drawers to put clothes in
But we managed
4.2
Very welcoming and comfortable a lovely stay. Great breakfast.
4.2
Very pleasant stay. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was good.
4.2
CRAMPED! I booked a superior double room. The room was so small we could hardly move. I assume room measurement on web includes bathroom. The small cupboard was stuffed with a safe and ironing board so only room for one hanger. Only one drawer (other occupied by their hair drier)The "river view" included a dingy car park. The toilet seat was stained yellow. The soap dispenser next to the sink did not work so we had to use the identical one in the shower. Access to room only via steep stairs.
4.2
Stayed in what was effectively the annex part of the property. Room was clean and well maintained. Parking is on a first come basis but seemed to be a reasonable amount of spaces. Stayed a couple of nights as was working in the area and would likely choose it again if working here again.
