Cumberland House is a beautifully furnished three-bedroom, two-bathroom luxurious home accommodating up to eight guests, located 2 minutes from Katoomba town centre.
This idyllic house, set on a large, beautifully landscaped garden, is centrally heated and also has reverse cycle air-conditioning for the warmer months.
Flooded with natural light, this is a perfect mountain retreat for families or a group of friends to holiday together. The open-plan living area has two separate lounge areas as well as a large dining area which comfortably sits 10 people.
The house is set on generous grounds with several distinct outdoor seating areas for the guests to enjoy. Relax in the shade of the covered balcony or venture into the garden and enjoy the two separate entertainment spaces from where you can take in the fresh mountain air.
Looking for adventure? Here are some exciting activities to consider in the area: Scenic World: Take a cable car, railway, or skyway to explore the stunning scenery of the Blue Mountains from above. The Three Sisters: A famous rock formation that offers breathtaking views of the valley below. Jenolan Caves: A network of limestone caves that are open for guided tours. Leura Village: A charming town just a few minutes' drive from Katoomba, with a range of boutique shops, cafes and restaurants to explore. All beds will be made with quality linen before your arrival including doonas, pillows, bath towels, bath mats & hand towels. Tea towels are also provided for the kitchen.

We arrived on the 23rd December and departed on the 27th December. On arrival lawns, hedging and flowerbeds totally overgrown with plants growing up through the decking under the dining table,I was later told by the property manager the gardens are done twice a year. There were dirty very greasy baking pans in the kitchen drawers, cobwebs on the inside of the dirty windows and under the couches was very dusty with some dead small creatures. I was told that if I had reported this on arrival they would have sorted it all out even though it was Christmas Eve. I did ring them on Christmas Eve as we were unable to get the television to work and was told they would get someone out in 48 hours, as we did not want to spend our short stay waiting in we told them not to bother as we would use our laptop. The other things were not noticed immediately. I did speak to the property manager who said he would send me an email but he never did. I paid over $700 per night and expected the property to be as described online, it most certainly wasn’t.
I now expect to be told it was all my fault as I didn’t fully inspect the property on arrival whereas I thought it was their job to inspect it BEFORE my arrival.

Perfect for a family weekend away. Only wish was for the garden to be fully enclosed so the dog could enjoy the holiday as much as us. Would recommend still - very comfortable and well appointed

This house works well for family of multiple generations and dogs. Well equipped, light filled house, close to everything.

Sheralyn (property manager) was an absolute star with communication and going above and beyond when listing items were not available as advertised. She did her best with what she had and although we didn't get what we required for our first night of stay, she did everything possible to make sure we were taken care of. If it wasn't for her work, outsourcing and even giving us her personal items, I would have given this listing a lower score for the fact that listed items were not provided.
Landscaping of the property was outstanding with many outdoor spaces to utilise.
Beautiful light filled open plan living, kitchen and dining area.
Dishwasher was smelly and could have done with a clean, and fan and heat light in ensuite bathroom wasn't working.
Otherwise, a perfect location with nearby walks and lookouts and minutes drive away from Leura village and Katoomba town.

The property was in such a convenient location. There was more than enough space for all of us (even our dog who loved the front yard!). It was very easy for us the check-in and navigate ourselves with all the amenities we needed. Will definitely stay again 👍
