The location is beautiful!! Beach huts are clean, comfortable and cozy. The lake is on your doorstep with views of the volcano to your right and a great sunset bar to your left. An island paradise with lovely dogs, chickens, a cat, ducks along with a friendly and helpful owner. Scooter access is 100% okay! There is a restaurant next door but if you want to go to others it’s a close 10min drive. Look no further and stay here!
Nothing. It was perfect for us :)

Very beautiful place, nice location for exploring the Maderas side of the island. Amazing sunsets!
We had a lot of troubles with sleeping because of the animals and neighbours. Dogs were barking very loudly during the night and the roosters were crowning very early in the morning night. On the saturday night in some house nearby were party and they were playing music loudly untill 2am.

Gorgeous view, great location
"'driveway" is a mud/dirt/rock path for about 1/4 mile that can't be driven without a motorbike or ATV. The bathroom is a good walk from the cabins. No food for sale (bananas, chips, nothing), though they stock cans of beer. They do have coolers of water to refill your own bottle with. Noisy with barking dogs by 4am.

Just a big wow! We absolutely loved staying in Lukas's place. Starting with cosy cabañas, which are located just on the beach, you can wake up and jump in the lake with volcano view. If you're working on the computer you can sit on little terrace outside your room and use a socket there. How cool is that. Double mosquito net is something the best - all places should learn from Lukas and his co-workers, they made everything by themselves from the skratch. Bamboo eco showers and outdoor toilet, which always smells good. There were few lovely dogs, especially Moka, who was walking us to the toilet - amazing. You can prepare your own meals in the kitchen, there is everything you need for cooking, but if you want there is also cool Playa next door, where you can have something to drink and eat. We spent here 4 nights, but could stay longer. We will definitely be back one day and hope to have a drink in diy Lukas's bar!
We were staying there while a group of people were staying next to us, and there was a lot of people joining and leaving the place every day (sometimes 10 ppl or something) which we didn't quite like. Someone ate our papaya (but Lukas was so nice to give us his bananas) and also they unscrew the light bulb outside our cabaña and it was creepy. It's not the owner fault, so no blame on him, you never know who will be your annoying neighbour.

La Sirenita is a magical place. So peaceful and beautiful. The traditional huts are beautifully made and feel so fresh, natural and cozy. The view is unparalleled and you can go for a swim in sheltered fresh water 20m from your hut. There is good Wi-Fi, power, a lockable safe, mosquito nets over the beds, hammocks, a communal kitchen and good natured "guard dogs". And did I mention... Playa Mangos means mangos falling on the beach, yum!
I unfortunately was quite ill for my entire 10 day stay on Ometepe. La Sirenita was the best place to surrender and rest. I felt safely held by the hut, the place, the people. Feeling deeply grateful.
I loved all of it apart from the 40m walk to the toilet at night... But that mainly because I wasn't feeling well. Just something to keep in mind... Good to bring a torch.

Friendly, informative hosts, charming and comfortable rooms, and of course one of the most beautiful locations I've ever seen. Worth booking just to watch the sunsets.

I love the location, the kindness of the owner and the people who work for him. The place is a small paradise I recommend everyone to spend a night there. The cabana has all the comfort you need, light, plugs, lockers. The kitchen is simple but you can make your breakfast and they provide coffe.
It gets hot at night, if you suffer the hit during high season can be challenging, but that's everywhere in Nicaragua and it was totally worth it for the view, and everything else..

this place was amazing !! for a great price, you get a nice bungalow right on the beach, the most beautiful place for the sunset ! the staff was super friendly and kind :) the bathroom/toilet is shared and a little rustic but clean and for the price you pay I think this place was beautiful! 100% recommend! i felt great here, very nice atmosphere:) I loved the location, it was a bit difficult to find from the main road but once you find it it’s fine :)) like everywhere on this island, make sure you rent a motorcycle or something because it is difficult to travel around by foot or public transport:)
