Brilliant

Excellent facilities beautiful room. Better than expected. Hospitality great menu showed innovation creativity. The cooked meals did not disappoint.

Good dog-friendly pub hotel

Quiet location. Easy to find. Very nice room - good size, well decorated and good shower. Pub was very dog friendly and good local dog walking options. Very friendly staff.

Although the room was very comfortable, the green emergency light was very bright and kept the room illuminated all night. Not sure much can be done about that but bring a sleep mask just in case. Breakfast is unattended self-service but is functional and handy if you need to make an early getaway. Despite both, I would happily stay again.

I would definitely stay again if I was in the area.

The room was spacious and newly decorated. Very comfortable bed. Although we were in a room above the pub, there was no pub noise in our room. We had a good night of sleep.

I prefer to have a separate sheet plus the duvet or blanket. The bed has only a duvet cover.

Not a good experience first night freezing cold no heating

N00ne available upon arrival. contact numbers did not work. Room did not get cleaned or replenished for second nite. Noone available upon leaving

Staff was lovely, the things I have mentioned above could have easily been avoided hence the lower score

Friendly staff Reasonably priced drinks food

Very steep stairs (but it is a old building), noisy toilet system, no towels so couldn’t have a shower, didn’t cater for someone with dietary needs, the breakfast that was included in price was a Continental style breakfast, that meant that there was nothing for me to eat in the morning, was a little hot at night even though it wasn’t a hot day, no fan to cool down.

Brilliant break on a lovely area to unwind from our normal day to day hectic schedule

Rooms are lovely, en suite, bed was comfortable and the view from the window was lovely. Great little quiet area to relax with Daventry and other areas near by

Nothing, it’s absolutely lovely, the village regulars to the pub are chatty and welcoming, the hosts…Megan and Zach are amazing

Disappointing.

Beautiful large spacious room. Very clean

Oh my goodness. The very very steep stairs. No hairdryer. Breakfast - no teaspoons or desert spoons for the cereal. No water for the kettle. Had to enter the kitchen to get water.

Even with negatives we enjoyed it

Breakfast basic due to we assume inn has just been taken over and chef unwell. But it’s in a lovely scenic spot . We can see work in progress. Our meals very tasty

Stairs to room very steep with no rail. Some people would be put off by this. Had to ask for a hairdryer and no mirror in bedroom.
