About this house rental
Welcome to Diamond Dock Camp on Oseetah Lake!
A fine Lake House retreat in the heart of the Adirondacks. Come enjoy and explore, with family and friends, all that our beautiful camp has to offer. Stunning lake and mountain views, 2 amazing decks overlooking the lake, 2 waterfront docks, a fire pit, and so much more!
Our private family camp is located on the beautiful wooded shores of Oseetah Lake. It is approximately 15 minutes from downtown Lake Placid, 10 minutes from Saranac Lake and 5 minutes from restaurants and an ice cream stand too! Built in 2001, our camp is 1.5 miles down a private road with majestic mountain and lake views and sits on an acre of water front property. There is 170 feet of shoreline with 2 docks and lake access to 27 miles of spectacular waterways. Bring your canoes, your kayaks, your paddle boards and your fishing gear as the lake out front is waiting for you to explore! The driveway has room for multiple cars and a trailer too.
The entry foyer leads into our great room with high ceilings and stunning views of the lake from within. Glass doors lead out to an amazing lake view deck with 5 Adirondack Chairs, a grill and a dining table that seats 6. The main kitchen is well equipped with everything needed to cook as we are culinary savvy ourselves. The harvest wood dining table seats 12 and is perfect for a beautiful family feast! Also on the main level is a cozy screened in porch perfect for rainy days or morning coffee, a queen guest room, a full bathroom and a spacious and lovely primary bedroom with a full en-suite bath.
Downstairs we have 2 additional guest rooms, one with a king bed and the other has 2 queens beds. There is also an office nook with a built-in desk so you can set up your laptop if needed and a large double vanity bathroom with a walk-in shower and an additional washer and dryer too.
The main great room downstairs is our media and game room, also known as our “Adirondack Den”. Plenty of comfy seating, a large smart TV so you can stream any of your movie apps, pub tables, game tables, and a small kitchen and coffee bar too. A great space for family and friends to lounge, watch movies and hang out.
The upstairs and downstairs great rooms have a sonos sound system (which can be operated by your smart phone) for your listening pleasure!
We also have a basket and bookshelf that is stocked with games for both indoors and out!
Another set of Glass doors lead to a lower lake front deck with party lights, Adirondack Chairs and another dinning table too!
The fire pit area is just steps away and down the hill from this amazing lower deck.
The 2 docks and the lush and beautiful shoreline is just down the hill from the fire pit.
As we pride ourselves on meticulous care and maintenance of our home, we do require a clean every 2 weeks. That $375 fee will be in additional to our regular one, that is done post stay.
* Note: we are pet friendly but with a 2 dog limit and a $150 fee, per dog...

This home was beautiful, clean and stocked with everything we needed. The selection of glasses for everyday and cocktail and wine glasses was wonderful. Everything in this house is top of the line. Beds were so comfortable and towels and linens were both high end. Highly recommend.

Amazing property with the new owners adding their own touches. New bed layout was extremely well done. Communication with property manager was exceptional and timely. We enjoyed this property even more than in previous years. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed a nice week at this house on Oseetah Lake. We were a family of seven and the house was a perfect layout for us with two bedrooms on each floor and three baths. The house was very well stocked, even including cooking oils and spices in the two kitchens. There were laundry facilities on both floors too. The location is a good one, between Lake Placid and Saranac Lake. We rented a boat from Saranac Lake Marina and were able to visit several of the lakes through the system of locks available.
We only had a few problems and the owners were able to resolve all but one issue while we were there. It's a lovely location right on the lake and I would recommend it in all seasons.

Property was as advertised with every detail being attended to. Some very minor problems were immediately addressed by Lisa and the communication was very timely. Secluded portion of lake made it very peaceful with hardly any boat traffic. Fishing was outstanding with access to five major bodies of water, Oseetah, Flower, Kiawasa, Lower Saranac and Middle Saranac Lakes. Bonus was the ability to take your boat into town for shopping or just an after-dinner ice cream at night. Marinas on Lake Flower were very good and accessible for all your boating needs. All in all one of the best rentals we have had in over 30 years of renting. Kudos to Lisa and her team.

I can’t say enough good things about this property! It is tucked away down a small country road but conveniently located to Saranac Lake and Lake Placid, as well as Whiteface. Gorgeous lake views and cozy fireplaces (including a wood burning one in the main upstairs living space) make this property a 10/10. The house was extremely clean which I am very picky about so rest assured that it is clean. The linens and beds were so comfy and plush. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we wanted and needed. It is a perfect space for two groups who want to stay together but have their own spaces. The garage made storing our ski stuff very easy and convenient. We plan on staying here every year.

This was a too short family getaway. The 6 of us had more than enough room and spent most of our time on the outside deck enjoying the view and listening to the loons. We had a lovely fire in the wood burning fireplace with the wood provided. The kitchen is well stocked with assorted spices and oils. We had no complaints about the beds and the bedding was lovely. The personal touches in this home were very welcoming and there is an attention to detail that was appreciated by all of us. We would definitely return.

The only thing I could complain about is that I couldn't think of anything to complain about. Lisa was great when weather changed out plans, the location is beautiful, the house is wonderful. Even the toilet paper is good quality toilet paper. The only thing that could have made it better was a few more days (or weeks)!

This was a lovely place to stay for a long weekend! My friends and I wanted a nice and quiet place that was close to Whiteface Mountain for skiing. The place could not have been more beautiful, clean, and well located. I’m sure it’s even more breathtaking in the summer. Lisa was quick to respond to texts and calls. The fridge even had some fresh local farm eggs and beverages for our enjoyment. My only recommendation would be to maybe include a packet of sorts with house details such as wifi, smart tv sign-in information, and check out guidelines for people to reference to. Lisa was quick to answer any questions I had regardless, but it can be nice to have that physical reference as well! All-in-all a lovely stay and would definitely come again. Thank you Lisa and John!

My family and I had a great experience and loved the house. It was incredibly clean and had plenty of amenities that were great. John was super responsive from start to finish. We had such a fun and relaxing stay which is what we were looking for. We can’t wait to go back. Thanks so much for making this a fantastic vacation.

Instead of buying Christmas presents for the family, we take a long weekend in an amazing location with a beautiful house. This house ranks as one of my top stays of all time and I frequently use VRBO when we travel. The house has everything to make your stay comfortable and relaxing. The beds were comfortable and had the highest quality bedding possible allowing for a wonderful night sleep by all. The two full kitchens allowed us to organize our food easily without feeling crowded which often happens when you travel with others. The temperature was chilly (-20) but we gathered around the fireplace and simply enjoyed the views. We took in the sights of lake placid which was a short 15 minute drive away. The location between Saranac and Placid was ideal. We did the Wild Lights at the Wild Center and it was a great treat that gave us some amazing pictures. The winter rate for the property is lower then the summer rate but I was already looking to book again in the summer because it is well worth the investment. Thanks again for an amazing stay!

We loved this property! Quiet, large home right on the lake. Nice fireplace, comfortable beds and common spaces. Essentially two complete spaces with kitchens and bathrooms. Great for two families or a larger family. Everything was fully stocked, from wood to the kitchen (you bring the food and drink—they have everything else) to towels, pillows, and blankets. Everything promised in the listing and more.

We had two families with 4 adults, 2 college students and a 12 year old in our trip and all enjoyed 5 days at this beautiful home. The pictures understate its comfort. The two living rooms gave us a lot of space, the bedrooms were comfortable with good storage space, the kitchen was fully equipped, two refrigerators offered ample room, TVs were huge... The home was impeccably clean. The property has amazing views and was 15 minutes from Lake Placid and 35-40 minutes from Whiteface Ski resort. The property manager was super quick in responding to us every time we called or emailed and he was always helpful. We plan to return!

We could not have been happier with our stay. The house is amazingly beautiful, but even better is the stunning lake and mountain views. Can’t wait for summer to come back! Thank you!

Great stay in a great home. It’s obvious that the hosts pay attention to detail, including fresh cut flowers on arrival. The house is beatifully done, and complete with all amenities and lots of fun things to do. There was never a dull moment unless we wanted to just do nothing at all while enjoying a snack at the dock or hanging out in front of the fireplace. The lake is fun: we took the canoe for a spin around the nearby islands on a daily basis and even caught a few pike. The location between Lake Placid and Saranac Lake is good for shopping, sightseeing, hiking, and other activities, but still feels far enough from the crowds.

We had a great time at the beautiful home hosted by Lisa and John. The house was very spacious and well stocked. The hosts were very friendly and answered any questions we had. Our whole family really enjoyed the house and the surroundings. Would love to come back here.

We were very fortunate to have found this rental. The house is beautiful and very well-stocked, from kitchen items to indoor games and outdoor toys. We really appreciated the separate living spaces upstairs and down - the kids felt like they had their own apartment, and there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out on those rainy indoor days. With two bedrooms, a kitchen and living room on each level, it could certainly be used by two families who want to travel together but still have some privacy. There is a canoe down by the docks and a string light to help find your way back after those late paddles. The swimming and fishing are better if you paddle out a bit from the dock, as Oseetah Lake is shallow (3-4' at the dock) and has moderate weed / grass cover. We used one of the two grills almost daily and ate outside on the deck whenever the weather cooperated. When it did rain, we could still sit outside on the screened porch and listen to the call of the loons on the lake. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable week, and we would be happy to return!

My family daughter, son-in-law and 3 children 10, 6 and 3 stayed at Lisa’s wonderful house for 3 weeks. It was spotlessly clean with fine linens and all amenities. The two docks were great for boating and hanging out. The home was large enough to accommodate everyone with play areas and adult spaces. The two kitchens were well equipped with everything we needed which was important since we rarely ate out. The views of the lake are spectacular and private. There was a glitch with Wi-Fi and since both parents were working it was important to be fixed which Lisa responded to immediately. We will have no hesitation in highly recommending this premier property.

Exactly as advertised! Beautiful lakehouse with all the trimmings. Very clean and all our needs were met. Host was very responsive to our requests. Remote and peaceful, but also close to Saranac and Lake Placid.
Great setting for a wonderful family vacation.
