Staff, (especially night shift) was super friendly and helpful. Room was clean and spacious. 2 pools kept the children happy. Views were great. Thick carpeted hallways kept the noise to a minimum. Lots of helpful trail maps available. Location was great. Far enough from the strip to avoid the noise, but the trolley stop is right in this hotels parking lot. Trolleys are free and go all over the area.
Short drive to multiple trailheads. Hotel is geared towards hikers and families. Great stop if you have kids.
Bed squeaked, breakfast is only muffins or sandwiches. Still a great deal and will definitely return.

Very friendly staff
No luggage racks available at check out

Only issue is the outdoor pool was not open. Indoor pool was small and crowded.

The property was very nice and the location is perfect ! it’s in the middle of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, it’s far enough from the congestion that you feel like you can breath, but close enough that within a minutes you can be right down town!

The entire staff was tremendous! The breakfast was just enough to get your day going. The beds were comfortable and the rustics concrete shower was beautiful. The bed headboard, mirrors, and lamps were made from logs which was very elegant and distinctive touch which made think I was in a log cabin. The property itself is gorgeous especially with the outdoor fire pits which was very cozy and photo friendly. The other patrons were also so warm and inviting but the best thing of all this was a pet free property and I wish it says that way. I like animals just not where I sleep.
The only thing I did like was I had to move the dresser when the TV was glitchy and the Wi-Fi was erratic at times. But when it worked it was good.

love the feel of the outdoor in the decor.
no complaints

Pool and jacuzzi were good. Location on edge of horrendously busy town was an advantage.
Gatlinburg is not an idyllic mountain village. It is an extremely busy, congested and noisy town with little going for it apart from the surrounding hills and the National Park. The attitude of the hotel staff reflected the fact that the town was full of tourists and that good friendly service was unnecessary. Despite the fact that the property had been recently rebuilt, the fabric was rather tired.

beautiful rustic lodge perfect for mountains
clean and staff were very friendly

The property was centralized between pigeon forge and Gatlinburg making it easy to visit either place. The facility was very clean with friendly staff. The facility also offered a nice relaxation area near the front entrance with fire pits. Was walking distance to a pancake house, gas station, and a park.

Everything was great. The staff was so friendly. Every time you walked by the front desk whoever was working always spoke. The breakfast was very good as well as the rooms. Loved that you could catch the Trolley from the hotel to downtown.

We have always dreamt of hiking the Appalachian Trail! Due to age limitations, we knew that would never happen! Imagine how excited we were the first time we stayed at the Appy! So many beautiful Photos with information about the AT, are hanging throughout the Lodge! The Lobby is so warm and inviting! We have stayed several times and look forward to many more visits! Coming back to the Lodge after a day in the mountains, to a beautiful fire and comfortable rockers, makes you feel like you are home!

I love the location and the cabin feel and look of the property. the fire pits are nice. wish they had a few more.

The atmosphere was excellent. Loved the outdoor fire pits
Access to the road going to Pigeon Forge due to traffic. No fault of the lodge. Just a LOT of traffic in the evening.
4.5
nice looking. clean
room really smelled bad when we got there. turned on air and smell mostly went away. really hit you in face when you walked in room. check in people were not all that.
4.5
Clean, staff was great, complimentary breakfast,
cozy fire pits out front and it is nestled in the perfect location between Gatlinburg and Pigeon George.
Outdoor fire pits should be on 2 hour increments so everyone can enjoy them.
4.5
Location is far from the busy attractions which I find relaxing. Mountain view, clean facilities, feels like you are staying in a cabin, nice staff and we loved the firepit!! We will definetely be back and recommend Appy Lodge.
Room is smaller for the price we pay for a regular room but maybe because we went during peak season which is Fall. No hot breakfast because of Covid. Elevator has a weird kind of sound but not a big deal for me.
4.5
The room felt and smelled very clean. Everything was open and we enjoyed the fire pits a lot.
The young man who checked us in never smiled or made us feel welcome. He seemed very disinterested in us or his job. Not a good welcome or start for us.

Everything was great!
