Misleading Claims of Luxury
The kettle was fine.
This is described as a luxury apartment. It is not - it is just a very basic apartment. To be specific: 1) The "city view" described is actually a view across a car park to a refuge for the homeless, with the car park used by its residents for drinking at night 2) The common parts of the building are scruffy. 3) the interior has been done up on the cheap - for example, covering cupboard doors in sticky back plastic to make them look new in the photographs d) defects highlighted in 2018 by other travellers, like mould in bathroom and failed lights in mirror, still not addressed. e) no consideration for utility of guests, fo example the wardrobes in the main bedroom contained a broken blind and all of the kitchen and bathroom cleaning products f) the hosts failed to declare that there were building works going on across the road during our stay g) the hosts demand a £300 deposit after you have already paid booking.com, but failed to mention this in the description of property on booking.com h) the hosts agreed a late checkout in advance, and then ignored this and began the changeover while we were out sightseeing

The apartment is fab, well kitted out and in a great location for visiting Exeter and the surrounding area. A 'home from home'. Communication with hosts was easy, fast, professional and empathetic.
