Absolutely amazing place, we will surely return.

Nice three bedroom home with ocean views. Close to Maracuyá beach restaurant for food and the pools were beautiful. Staff were EXCELLENT- Abigail was amazing as she helped us with various things and was always available!!
Our apartment was a little dated and could use a little TLC. The internet was unreliable.

Everything from the marvelous views, the very helpful and friendly staff to the 5 star restaurant Maracuya that had the most amazing food and cocktails made this vacation very special and having me want to return!
I would definitely recommend renting a car or the golf cart option they offer at the resort if you stay in any of the villas on the top levels because the walk to the beach & main pool is quite a hike.

The condos were large and well appointed. The view was incredible. We were in condos 37 and 38 and had easy access to an Infiniti pool. We drove down in a golf cart to access the amenities at the main part of the resort. We loved the tours that the resort helped us arrange. Abi was great to work with. The place was not very crowded which was wonderful.
I was surprised by how far away the main part of the resort was from our villas and how steep the drive was down to it. We rented golf carts to get around and it was a little scary driving down the steep resort and about a 15 minute drive to town. The restaurant did not serve breakfast. None of these things diminished the enjoyment of our trip.

The staff and location. Restaurant was good. Pools were nice.
Our studio could use some love. Coffee pot broken. Equipment boxes left in night stand drawer so it was unusable. One chair on Patio unusable. Table on patio took up way too much room. Couldn't open kitchen cabinet drawers because of layout.

Beautiful, clean and well equipped.
Was a little isolated but fine if you had a car. Also the pool was a bit small so it very busy as the hotel was quite full.

The villa we stayed in was wonderful, had everything we needed, great amenities, views, the location, the helpful staff. We used the patio often for our morning coffee and evening drinks. We even saw a family of monkeys from our patio on a couple of mornings which was a treat.
I liked everything about the resort. The only thing, but it isn't a negative really, is that the resort is situated on top of a winding hill, but that is why you have such terrific views. We had a rental car and aren't intimidated by driving on narrow, winding roads, but some others might be.

Our stay was like being at a perfect little oasis. The villa number 5 was absolutely beautiful. The restaurant and staff were amazing!
We weren’t used to not being able to walk down a Long Beach but after seeing the coast from a boat we understood the guanacaste beaches aren’t like that.

We stayed at cabin 41. It has an spectacular view of the ocean. The cabin is fully equipped with everything you need for a short stay. We loved having dinner and breakfast at the balcony. We saw many birds and monkeys. A 4WD car is recommended to get there because the road is not in the best shape.
1. Early in the morning you have the PRIVILEGE to see and hear all kinds of birds and hauling monkeys, because that is the time they go out to seek food. Unfortunately some of the maintenance staff start cleaning the houses using high pressure water washers that make an incredible loud noise and use an absurd amount of drinking water. And that almost every day.
2. At night it is possible to see almost all stars. Unfortunately street lights and signs are let on the whole night, completely unnecessarily, because very few people walk around the facilities at night and most people drive cars that can illuminate the way. You can also carry a flashlight instead of keeping all thee lights on and ruining the spectacular view of the nightly sky.
3. Grass is grown right at the beach. For thousands or probably millions of years beaches have been covered by sand and endemic fauna. On Pez Vela Beach grass is grown right at the beach using an incredible amount of precious water. Simply non sense.
4. The concept of semi private or private beach simply shocked us. According to the Costa Rican law there is not such thing as private or semi private beach. All beaches in Costa Rica MUST be open to the public. It is true that the beach is kept very clean but our concern is that we are not sure if the access to the beach is guaranteed for the local people in the community.

Once they upgraded us to what was actually advertised (sort of) on booking.com it was beautiful and lovely. Pool and view out of this world!!
What’s advertised on here and what you actually get are two totally different things. So be sure you know what you’re actually booking. The staff (all 5 of them) were at the villa at around 6am or earlier making noise and cleaning the pool. A few situations were a bit questionable in regards to staff but nothing negative happened. You cannot walk anywhere and have to drive even to the beach. The bed was not comfortable at all.
The saving grace was the nice staff that checked us in giving us a upgrade (but still not what’s actually advertised on here-they said they’ve been trying to get booking.com to change it) and the amazing view and little private infinity pool.
