Loud and noisy so does not outweigh modern rooms

Modern rooms

Staff did not care, front desk barely monitored and service was non existent . It is above a very noisy pub and night club with no sound proofing whatsoever.

Disapointed and Unclean Place

The property was not clean at all. We arrived in out room and there was an empty bottle of water in the rubish bin. Lots of dust…

Great place for a fun weekend.

Character hotel in the heart of Sydney. Great bars and comfy bed! We also had a cool balcony to enjoy the city from.

The room could have had more amenities like a bottle opener and wine glass - but easily fixed.

Could be the worst hotel I have ever stayed at

No storage or hanging space Cups are too big for coffee machine No spoons No screen for shower the whole of the bathroom was saturated Bed was worn out Room was noisy No sleep until 2.00 am Room only has one chair and no flat area tqo place things

We understand that it was a Pub, but had NO idea that we were not going to be able to get any sleep, until after 3am, due to the load booming music, from the lounge downstairs

Location great but that was the only plus everything else was not even one star rated

The location

Suppose to be four star accommodation and booked a superior double room. Room nothing like pictures on website. Stained duvet and cushions Bathroom was mouldy and fan broken. Nowhere to hand clothes unless you consider a strap on one of the walls Contacted hotel and booking.com abiut this and provided photos but no response

Our stay was great. We will keep coming back again and again

Close to everything. Love the pub downstairs too. Great atmosphere

The only thing we didn’t like is when it’s time to go home back to reality. Can’t fault it at all!

The reception staff

Really disappointed at the noise and the room. There was a comedy night on and it was so loud I couldn’t get to sleep. The hotel didn’t inform me on the noise. The room was also tiny and the window went over an alley way full of rubbish

Disappointing

The room we received was not what was advertised in the photos. It was not a nice renovated room and bathroom. The bathroom was very old and downstairs, where you entered the room and the bed was up a set of stairs.

The room was a great size, good value for money.

The doors to the lift/stairs close of an evening to keep the noise out. Great idea, but the doors look the same as the room doors and is a little disorientating if you aren’t aware and trying to leave.

Great location, fantastic architecture and gorgeous interior.

The staff were friendly and super helpful, especially the receptionist.

Rooms are a bit small and the bed could be a bit longer but it was still fairly comfy.

It was adequate but wouldn't book again more appropriate for younger guests

The bed was clean and over comfortable. The staff were helpful and friendly

The room was smaller than expected and there wasn't enough room to hang clothes from suitcase. The shower screen was far to small so water got everywhere.

Good location but super noisy

The building is super funky and in a great location with a popular bar downstairs. The bed was very soft and cosy with lots of pillows.

The bar noise is very loud on the weekend, there was a 21st in the function room below the hotel rooms and the floor vibrated from the music (even though I was on the opposite side of the building) making it super difficult to sleep. Windows don't open so it got stuffy unless the aircon was on, and the room smelled damp and musty. The shower has no curtain or screen and sprayed water all over the bathroom. The box of tea and coffee obviously got wet at some point and all the packets were stuck together but there was no milk provided anyway even if I did want to risk it.
