Comfy room, good english breakfast cooked to order
9.0
The room was lovely, small and comfortable and very convenient for my work trip. It was great to arrive and check in over a pint and a chat in the bar with the friendly owner/landlord. Lovely breakfast too.
I was able to log on to the Wifi but couldn't get a strong enough signal, either on my phone or tablet. It wasn't vital to my stay to be able to do that, but it would have been handy.

It was not bad
It was not good
Just “ok for one night”
Can I have another toast
Can I have some jam
Can I have my egg fried both sides
Can I have some hot milk for my coffee
Can I
May I
Although requests were honoured,
several times thoughts crossed my mind like:
are you interested in pleasing clients
or is it just work?

The room was comforable, the full english breakfast was good. We didn't have an evening meal as we arrived too late.
Nothing comes to mind.

staff were friendly and helpful. location was quiet and easy to find
we were given the family room. It had issues with the bathroom - black mould around window, toilet roll holder hanging of the wall, chips in bath, bath panel badly broken, smelt mould and musky.
Main door lock had been removed so door could not be locked from the inside.

Breakfast was fine and the bed was comfortable.
Dinner was expensive for the quality of food and the room was fine but the Shower was leaking to the point where the Floor was flooded . The restaurant was quite cold in the evening.

staff behind bar and serving breakfast very nice
only stayed one night when booked 2 as not as clean as would have expected, lots of cobwebs above bed, bathroom door grubby and cold through bottom of door although do understand property outside but would benefit from draught excluder as heating limited to times it put on/off. more than one pillow would have been nice and blood on duvet cover

The room was clean and bed was very comfortable. Had a lovely shower and bath. Home made biscuits too. Superb breakfast too.
Good vslue for money.

Cosy and unpretentious, traditional village pub. Lots of locals enjoying the friendly atmosphere.
Good quality home cooked meals at value for money prices.
Reasonable sized room with everything one would expect. A bit of paint missing here and there but the value for money was good and it was clean with comfy beds.
Breakfast was included and was more than adequate with decent local produce and nicely cooked.
When pre-ordering breakfast the night before I asked if we could have hot chocolate for the children - but I was told no - there is tea/coffee/apple/orange.. My kids don't really like juice and I would have been happy to pay extra for hot chocolate - especially as it was an icy cold morning a hot drink would have enhanced the start to their day.
Perhaps guests could be offered some additional choices at additional cost - maybe a sheet with things like extra food items and other drinks that guests could tick in advance and pay for when pre-ordering breakfast.
We would have happily paid for some extra items if that had been an option - I would have paid for an extra sausage and toast for example and a hot choc.

Warm welcome upon arrival, asked about breakfast preferences then shown to room,
Room was a good size, included all the amenities we would need and was very clean !
TV worked spot on as did the WiFi. Bedding was comfy and ample.
In the morning there was a table laid out specifically with our preferences, food was excellent quality and services was fantastic !

The team at the Flying Bull were friendly and helpful and the Inn had a warm and welcoming vibe. Dinner was very good
and the service was exemplary. We had to leave early as we were participating in a sporting event and the Inn made up sandwiches and drinks for us the night before - very nice they were too.
We had no complaints so there is nothing to dislike.
