Very accommodating and even better than advertised. The setting is perfect. We enjoyed sitting out watching the eagles, listening to birds and the wind through the trees. The quiet was priceless. Also, the house is so conveniently situated that we could easily enjoy visiting the Marshall Point, Owls Head, and Rockland Breakwater lighthouses, as well as hiking at Camden Hills State Park. We couldn't ask for a better place to spend our time in Maine. Hope to be back next year for a longer stay!

I really appreciated that the kallochs were very responsive from the outset and continued to be do whenever I contacted them
The house had a lot of privacy. It was spacious, the kitchen well stocked and the WiFi was good which was important as I had to work during my stay
Although I still would have rented the house I wish I knew the water was not drinkable to my taste. The water has iron and I believe sulfur which had an odor
I had a enjoyable and relaxing stay

Great vacation
We were very pleased with the camp that we stayed in. It was very relaxing and peaceful. The camp had everything you would need, along with the beautiful views.

Nature’s Window
My wife and I spent a peaceful week relaxing on the deck of this property observing nature, trying to make sense of the past year, and contemplating what is to come. This property is like no other we have stayed at. It is as advertised and more. We have never seen so many birds. Bald and brown eagles visited the adjacent pine tree everyday. The location is perfect. You can be in nature and drive 10 minutes to 4 star quality restaurants and culture in Rockland. The house is clean, comfortable and well appointed. The owners communicated in a timely manner. This is a winner winner chicken dinner. Which reminds me. If you’re lucky the owner may give you a delicious gift of his chickens’ fresh eggs. What a week!

Can't beat the location
The comfortable house with all amenities sits on the water perfect for kayaking. My husband was out every day exploring. I walked on the town trails and we hiked in Camden State Park. Rockland is also nearby to explore with the Farnsworth museum. We went to Monhegan Island using the ferry close by. With a dishwasher and washer and dryer and open plan room plus two decks with the views, it makes a relaxing stay.

Beautiful Maine House
Beautiful spot. Great porches to watch the sunset in the evening or the lobster boats in the morning. Super clean, well-equipped kitchen, great laundry room. It was very comfortable. Wish the stairs to the beach had been available.

Beautiful home with lots of privacy and an incredible waterfront view!
This is an immaculate spacious home that's even nicer than the pictures! It's almost completely private and the closest neighbor is barely visible through the gorgeous pine trees. The view is amazing and the sunsets are different every evening. The location is very convenient for sightseeing (right down the road from one of the most beautiful lighthouses) and Rockland where there are lots of restaurants, shops and museums is just a few minutes drive. The only problem is that the home and setting are so beautiful you have to force yourself to get up and go anywhere. The only suggestion we have is to buy some bottled drinking water and a few gallons for coffee, etc. The water is fine but has a bit of an off flavor for drinking. All in all this is a perfect getaway. Don't miss this one!!

Hope we will be back next year
We have been staying at various waterfront cottages along coastal Maine for the last 20 some years. This one was the cleanest and most well equipped. It was a nice touch to see a variety Maine artwork on the walls. There is plenty to do in the area… The Farnsworth and Transportation Museums, great restaurants, interesting shops and galleries. Plus we were in the middle of Wyeth country. The best part was coming back at the end of the day to this gem at the end of a secluded road.

Glen and Vickie Smith from Colorado Springs, Colorado
We spent 2 weeks in this beautiful house and loved it. The house was just comfortable and the view from the decks were lovely. Every night the sunsets were different and watching the tide rising and falling was so relaxing. Lobster shacks were many and very close, we ate our share of lobster, pie and ice cream. We took several short trip and day trips and it never felt like we had to go very far to find things to do. We hope to visit Maine again and this is the only place I would choose to stay.

We liked it so much we came back!
My wife and I came back for our second visit to this wonderfully secluded home. It is off the beaten track but only a very short drive to the best spots on the Mid-Coast. The home is spacious, clean and well appointed. The back deck is an outstanding vantage point to watch birds, lobstermen working their pots, or just the tide rolling in. We ate most of our meals out, but the kitchen is perfect for making a great meal. We hope to return next year.

A Northern Paradise..
We had the pleasure of staying at Norm and Audrey's future retirement home for a week in the middle of October. The previous renters stated most of our feelings. It was so beautiful and serene. The house is beautiful..so open and airy. It has the feeling of a lodge. We traveled around the peninsula visiting Port Clyde and going to Owls Head. We bought a lobster at Ship to Shore Lobster Co, and asked Rod Mason, the owner to steam it for us. Brought it back to the house, melted butter and thoroughly enjoyed!! We also visited the Maine State Prison Showroom in Thomaston. They have many crafts made by the inmates. A good place for Maine made gift for the folks at home. We wanted to sample all the oysters that Maine is famous for. Went to King Eider's Pub in Damariscotta for their oysters. They were outstanding, as was the delicious chowder. If you like Thai food, Roselyn in Rockland is a winner. So, all in all, we had a great time and look forward to another stay.

Quiet, lovely rental
This is a very nice property well located between Tennets Harbor and Rockland on the peninsula. It was clean - and walking in, had a "new house" scent. Driving to Port Clyde or Rockland is easy; and although a bit farther, Boothbay or Camden were also readily accessible. It is at the end of a remote, private road with the nearest neighbor 100 yds to the south. Arrive during the day because finding and navigating this small road for the first time at night would be difficult. (GPS was very helpful) The photos are 100% accurate and represent the property well. It says that it sleeps 3 but is certainly large enough to accommodate more guests if the owner wanted to set up the second bedroom/den to do so.
It is a western facing property, so there are excellent sun sets. The property sits on the shore off the bay that can be seen and appreciated from the great room and the deck off of the great room, with a few trees obstructing full view. It has a narrow and steep stairway, roughly 40 feet above the shore. Getting a kayak up and down that stairway would be a risky proposition. The shore itself is rather shallow, and although I didn't try, probably not too good for fishing. It is so shallow, in fact, that with very low tide it became mud/rocky flats for several hundred yards out.
The kitchen is very well equipped with a gas stove, microwave, dishwasher, coffeemaker, and outdoor gas grill. It also has a full sized washer and dryer. Oddly the TV did get some channels but did not get the major four (ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX). I may not have been doing something correctly. There is dial up internet access but there was some procedure to register with the service provider that I did not bother to try. I did not get any 3G mobile reception from my provider. The water is well water and did have a minor sulfur odor. We bought bottled water and were happier with the taste of our coffee from it.
In sum, it was a very nice property, well situated with lovely views. It is perfect if you are seeking a quiet place for relaxation.

Spectacular Waterfront Getaway in Midcoast Maine
What a delightful home and gracious hosts! The house was clean, well appointed, modern and comfortable within 15 minutes from downtown Rockland-We spent many hours on the sun filled decks taking in the beautiful view of the St. George River. Close to Miller's lobster pound on rte.73, Cod End restaurant in Tenants Harbor and the ferry to Monhegan Island. Peaceful and relaxing, would definitely stay again!

Clean & Serene
This is a beautiful waterfront home on the St. George River. The views of the river are spectacular. The house is tastefully appointed and the architecture gives it a spacious, open feel which we enjoyed. We had everything we needed and more. The house is very quiet, located at the end of a private drive. We did not spend much time at the house because we were out touring Maine, but we found it a delightful place to "come home to." We would welcome an opportunity to return there.
