About this house rental
Based in Hawker, Belconnen (10 minutes from the city) this delightful 3 bedroom, completely renovated, townhouse with modern décor is just waiting for you. All the comforts of a hotel with so much more space and many extras.
Featuring two queen beds and two single beds this townhouse allows for up to six guests. All beds have extremely comfortable mattresses and a range of pillows are available to suit everyone's taste. Each bed has linen supplied and there are towels for everyone.
Your accommodation is complete with heating and cooling for those extra warm or cool Canberra nights.
Two enclosed courtyards allow you the choice of where to sit for a refreshing afternoon drink whilst thinking about which local restaurant you could walk to as there are several within a 5 minute walk – Al-a-carte, Chinese, Vietnamese, Greek, take-a-ways. A 5 minute drive to Belconnen or Jamison will provide many more dining options for the entire family and fussy eaters.
Need entertainment? Well this place has it all - boasting 5G Wi-Fi, Free Netflix, DVD /Blue Rays, board games and some books and puzzles to keep the kids amused. Three wall mounted televisions throughout the house will help to keep all the family happy.
Light breakfast items supplied and no need to bring the hairdryer and shampoo/conditioner as you find some already supplied for your visit. A lightly stocked pantry will ensure you don't have to buy everything if you feel like cooking and there is a BBQ available if you have the steak or the prawns!
Hawker is a wonderful suburb; the local shopping centre boasts Woolworths, restaurants, bakery, post office, chemist and petrol station just to name a few. Major shopping centres at Jamison and Belconnen are a short 5 minute drive and there is a bus stop within 100 metres walking distance. Fancy a day out at Big Splash Water Park - well you only need to head on down the road for a fun filled day with the kids.
The property is a leisurely 10 minute walk to Hawker International Softball Centre if you’re in town for a competition.
There is a bus stop 100 metres walk from your accommodation and local shops within a 5 minute walk. Hawker is in the Belconnen area which is approx. 10 minutes drive to the city. Woden town centre is 15 minutes drive and Gungahlin is approx. 12 minutes drive.
Murrumbateman is approx. 20 minutes drive which is a lovely day out and has some of our wonderful local wineries and a great counter meal at the pub!
Like walking? Just a short walk in Hawker will open up to some lovely walking tracks where you will even spot a kangaroo or two up at The Pinnacle.
Dog and cat friendly accommodation allows you to bring your dog/cat on holiday as well. Animals are welcome everywhere in the house but no sleeping on the white bedding or additional laundering fees will be applied. Canberra supports dog friendly parks so your furry friend will love to run around and meet some of the locals as well.
Canberra is famous for fantastic walking and bike tracks around our lakes here you can stop for a rest and enjoy a cool drink.
A single garage with internal access ensures all your valuables are safe - you can even bring the kids bikes and they can ride up at the Pinnacle too!
If you are staying for a while, I can arrange for cleaning during your stay so you don't have to worry about this. A cleaning fee will be applied each time, payable direct to the cleaner.
All linen and towels are supplied. There are also some beach towels that can used during you stay if you wish to visit the local pools.
** Note: Please note pets are welcome but due to additional cleaning required to ensure the property is perfect for the next guest, I have to apply a $40 fee for the additional costs for the cleaner as it does take extra time to clean. I will update the amount to add the $40 upon booking if not selected. There is a also a great area for them to sleep in the laundry if you don’t want them in the house with you . Any damage by your pet(s) is your responsibility and charges will be applied to repair.
You are also responsible to clean up your dogs' dropping in gardens and any mess inside. There are dog towels, bowls and doggy bags available in the laundry for your use.

We were delighted with this property and location. The home was warm, bright and clean. The kitchen received sun almost all day and was a joy to gather around. The owner has taken care in furnishing the home to a comfortable and high standard, with clean and cozy beds, soft throws for the sofa and breakfast and milk on arrival.
The house was also a convenient distance from shops, parklands and the city.
We would not hesitate to book this property again. Thank you!

It was clean and comfortable for our family of six. The kitchen was well-supplied, and having a breakfast ready was amazing. It was close to local attractions, and the host was very accommodating when our flight was redirected from Sydney to Melbourne. Our stay was enjoyable!

What a delight to be able to stay in Melissa's property. Melissa goes above and beyond with all you could need to start your time away. We really appreciated the bacon/eggs/ milk/ bread. It was easy for my mother, who uses a walker, to move around the house. The lounges are a little low if you have mobility issues, but we worked around that.
The Hawker shops are very close, and all info regarding Canberra and all attractions were located in an easy to follow folder.

Our stay was very clean and comfortable. The house was well equipped everything you would need in the kitchen (maybe the knives could have done with some sharpening)! The fridge was well stocked with complimentary breakfast items. Luxury toiletry items were also provided to make us feel right at home.
The location was very central and just a short stroll to a supermarket and some lovely cafes and restaurant.
Just one issue was the very squeaky bedroom doors. Maybe a bit of oil might help.

The property was fantastic, and very well located. It was only a short drive to lots.of Canberra attractions. We really.loved the extra touches provided by tbe host, breakfast was provided for the first day, and there were lots of things stocked jn the kitchen and bathroom for very reasonable price ls, the convenience was realy great. Will definitely stay again on our next canberra visit

EXCELLENT quality of all things in the property.
Modern quality appliances in kitchen/laundry and Webber BBQ. Towels and all linen clean and fresh, whole house spotless. Very thoughtful inclusions to make you feel comfortable at all times. Extra iPad/phone chargers included in case we forgot them, which usually happens. The setup with all the extras in the whole place was amazing. The instructions regarding the working of all appliances, door entry, arriving and departure instructions very helpful and appreciated. Beautiful areas for walks. The ice cube trays were top shelf with the rubber bottoms to help push them out. We were able to see the green comet which only comes by every 50 thousand years. Without any hesitations, we would happily recommend your place to our family members and friends. Perfect, excellent and top quality inclusions of all things.

The house was perfect for our family. The beds were so comfortable and the house was warm on the very cold days. Perfect location to all the venues we wanted to visit, and close to all shops for our supplies. We had the best time in Canberra and our accommodation made it just that bit more special. We had a great stay in a fully stocked & clean unit.
We would stay there again as it was easy to get around and amazing take away food in the area. Only one problem there could be some hooks on bathroom door. But lots of clean towels and toiletries. 10 out of 10.

Very thoughtful and comfortable stay
The house was very clean and had everything you need and more. Melissa was very lovely and helpful and definitely goes above and beyond. My favourite thing besides feeling right at home was her beautiful bedsheets. I cant tell you how much I loved feeling those sheets. Great for our family and pets.
