Canny little stay

The family room rate is fantastic for our purpose of having somewhere to rest half way on our journey. The breakfast was simply superb and got an 11/10 from our son! The hosts are very pleasant and nothing seems a bother. The place is dog friendly which is amazing. We went to The Beeches pub as recommended and we weren't dissapointed. Very quiet rooms

The shower wasn't very powerful but the bath taps were so we had baths. The room was tired and a little foisty smelling but it was dog friendly. The pillows were a little to be desired.

No pictures in the room so a bit bare. A mirror in the room rather than just the bathroom, to do my hair would also have been helpful

Great guest house in a great location.

Right place, lovely hosts and would certainly book again as perfect for what we

The Cedars made Ashby look better

Both superb. The breakfast was unbelievably beyond what one would expect and the very pleasant staff made it even better.

A very pleasant, warm and comfortable stay.

We liked the host...very friendly, chatty and interesting but not intrusive The rooms were warm and cosy. Nice bathrooms. Good breakfast. Nice gardens. Convenient location...half mile to town. Free and plentiful parking. Friendly staff. Quiet location. Good nights sleep.

Some of the pillows were lumpy. No fruit or yogurt at breakfast...but may have been available had I have asked. Outside tired looking although the owner said he was updating the property. Not much else. Slept well and comfortably.

Great location within walking distance to town centre. Simon a great host and breakfast fabulous.

Brilliant property, only thing that could be improved would be the pillows ( bit lumpy) but really a minor detail. Overall this is a great place to stay.

Great little find in ashby.

Accessible ground floor ,family room which welcomed our dog. Property was a good blend of traditional and modern . Comfortable beds and relaxed,friendly environment. Good breakfast which set us up for a day's travelling. Perfect location for visiting friends in Ashby. Lovely gardens for sitting or walking the dog. And plenty of parking. Great, will definitely stay here again.

Have a place to stay for the odd night or two whilst visiting the area

One night, stay for my father in one room, myself in another, huge space, issues, rooms, clean, tidy, and comfortable. No frills, didn’t expect frills, but we did get was a lovely freshly cooked breakfast in the morning. Both vegetarians, easily sorted. Thank you.

Fantastic place for families.

Staff were really friendly and helpful. Came out to help with bags when I arrived after a 5 hour journey. Room was lovely and huge, very clean and comfortable. Bathroom was also very clean, well decorated and modern. Hand Wash and body wash provided smelled gorgeous. Breakfast was fantastic, cooked just right, not greasy and very tasty. They even had nutella which made my kids day especially as it meant they could have their favourite breakfasts :nutella on toast and chocolate porridge. Overall felt very welcome and will definitely be staying again. Thank you so much.
