The excellent service by staff! Very affirmative and knowledgeable of the area. Great help if you need something to be fixed by them! Would come back again in the future!
I just wished we had a better view, I realized our original suite was moved but I would assume they had to changed it die to something happening behind the scenes.

There were no meals available or provided at this location. We had to bring our own food.
We were fine with that.
In the particular unit we were in ( 9c ) the lights flickered and flashed during our entire stay.
The plumbing was incredibly noisy.
When the toilet was flushed the pipes would howl.
The pipes howled the entire time someone was having a shower or bath…. Quite distracting.
We found the check in to be okay but clearly due to the number of people checking in the front desk person was too busy to take the time to truly facilitate proper explanations and any orientation. I also would assume that this location was short staffed as the early check-in was not available as requested and it seemed rushed once check in happened.
We reserved online. Even with a phone call to confirm it was confusing…. We ended up with a bay view which was wonderful. However, b it was not made clear to us that in order to get the full view of the whole ocean as shown in the pictures we needed to book one of the 2-3 bedroom units
We still enjoyed our stay but I would suggest to future customers a clear explanation be made. .

The view was great.
Suite was clean and beautiful.
The property is still under construction so the land was visually unappealing.

The location is good
The construction is intrusive and lowers the experience of the place.

The location was great with amazing views. They didn't offer breakfast.
Too many stairs and the fact that the nearest store is 20 minutes away.

Views were phenomenal and well laid out cottages
Dormant construction materials all over property. Should have it put out of site and ran up property to gold stamdard

Loved everything about it. Views, cleanliness, stocked kitchen. Peaceful and quiet location.
Location of parking was a bit odd. And trying to find the actual unit was a bit of a task with all the stairs. But overall nothing to complain about.

The pictures really did this property justice, but it was still so very breathtaking in person! The sliding glass wall was fantastic for providing great views - we even had it open in November, watching seals play and hearing the tide crash on the rocks below the balcony. Even in dismal weather this was such a beautifully appointed unit that made our holiday so very relaxing. Heated bathroom floors with a soaking tub hit the spot! The bed was quite comfy - almost too squishy for me but I still slept very soundly.
While we knew there was going to be active construction during our stay, it wasn't loud -- BUT there are certain assumptions/expectations that we didn't know we needed to ask about.
1. YES this unit is pet friendly, but the property/resort site isn't -- there was only 1 fairly nearby patch of "not-gravel" where we could take our dog to the bathroom.
2. The signs to the office to check-in are not obvious! Stay straight and go to the left side of the upper part of the property.
3. The lower section of buildings where this specific unit is located has ZERO signs on it showing the building numbers, which stairs to use to get to the unit, etc. The property map at the office wasn't really helpful since it didn't take into consideration new buildings going up, so it was really confusing and we hiked probably 3 sets of stairs to finally find it.
4. The parking area is gravel, with curb stops assigned to units; never found one to match the unit number, but thankfully there weren't that many people staying on site (the other units are owned by individuals - and new units are for sale).
5. We travel a lot and use short-term rentals for stays longer than 2-3 nights (and I work in the STR industry). The kitchen could've been set up a bit better for a longer stay, or for being a more remote location where guests are more likely to cook: there were only a few sugar packets, a few days of coffee, salt & pepper...extra spices, cooking oil, and a few more cooking utensils will go a long way. I did bring our preferred spices, but we had to get more basics from the grocery than originally expected.

It's a beautiful resort. Great views and clean
The guest manager wasn't very pleasant. Requested a late checkout and even 30 min wasn't doable because their housekeeping was coming to clean the unit. That is poor customer service. Don't offer late checkout if you can't honor it.
Also no restaurant or grocery close by

The resort is located on one of the most scenic point of the Sooke Coast. The view to the sea and the Olympic Mountain is unobstructed. Scenery, peace and proximity to milles of pristine hiking trails are its main attraction. Don’t expect easy access to restaurants or proximity to touristic attractions. The units are very private, comfortable and tastefully appointed. If one can tear oneself from the spectacle of the sea, there are huge TVs and gas fireplaces to enjoy. The staff is friendly, relax and helpful.
Our unit was in the 40s cluster, which seems to have the best views. Other locations facing the Sooke Basin might not have such a spectacular view. We were also lucky not to have stairs to access it. Many steps can be a problem, specially when carrying groceries. The second bedroom, while acceptable, was Spartan: no bedside lamps, no mirror and a noisy Murphy bed. If two couples share the costs equally, one might feel shortchanged.

Remote, yet that's part of it.You,'ll need food as no restaurant or shop for 20 mins.Views and sunsets to die for and super comfy bed.Take no notice of Sooke as address,it's "East sooke".It's on the tip of nowhere, yet it's worth the trip

Amazing views!

The view was amazing, the room was quiet.
Our booking was for two queen beds but the room was outfitted with one Murphy double bed and a king. The Murphy bed was very squeaky which made getting in and out of troublesome.
In terms of cleanliness, the floors could use a good cleaning. The soles of our brand new slippers were black by the third day.
As a “resort”, I wish there were more amenities aside from the fee-for-use fitness facility.

Epic views; new, clean apartments; fully furnished; comfortable. Lots of space for a family of five. The sound of the waves.
Despite the pricey cleaning cost, guests are expected to bring their garbage, recycling, and compost to the central bin.
Few amenities nearby or onsite.
Potentially a lot of stairs to the apartments; depending on which one you get; not that accessible.
