Lovely Cottage in the Dales
A lovely comfortable cottage in excellent condition. It was well equipped and there was plenty of space for the four of us during our long weekend visit. A great location in an attractive Dales village. Lovely views over the river to the hills beyond from the dining room with a front garden to sit in if the weather is good. The Red Lion is just a few steps away and the popular tea room is close at hand too. There was plenty of space for clothes in the bedrooms which were refreshingly free of IKEA furniture. The beds were comfy too. Well placed for walks along the river Wharfe to Grassington, Hebden and Appletreewick. In the latter you must not miss the wonderful Craven Arms. All in all a great place to stay.
Don't let this comment put you off but be aware that parking might be tricky at weekends in this popular Dales village. On our return after a morning trip (on a Sunday afternoon around 1pm) we had to use the car park (pay and display). The 'gentleman's agreement' to park in the field behind the cottage (as notified in our booking confirmation) seems to have lapsed as the gate was padlocked- at least during the weekend we were there in October. Fortunately, we didn't need it. In the end we managed ok as once the visitors depart there are spaces outside the cottage.

We felt very at home there and didn’t want to leave.
Location very good: very close to river, green, café, countryside. Bathroom excellent. Living room and dining room excellent. Kitchen warm and well appointed. Furniture, comfortable downstairs. Plenty of wood for wood burner. Double bed linen and duvet very comfortable. All rooms looked attractive. Front garden pretty and had garden furniture for eating out. Views from windows lovely.
Mattresses uneven. No dishwasher tablets, so we drove to Skipton to buy a box - expensive. Woodburner - grate absolutely brimming with ash (I.e. not cleaned out before we arrived).

Great location and lovely cottage, last day spoiled by no hot water
Great location, comfortable and well equipped.
No hot water for our last day and nobody able to fix it. Not great after a full day of walking not to be able to shower.

Perfect location and a lovely cottage but left dissapointed after poor heating/water/wifi facilities
Location perfect. Beautiful cottage with great space for a family of 4.
No central heating throughout stay - management did not rectify even after numerous phone calls. In the end we had an hour round trip to buy heaters to enable a more comfortable stay (not ideal with 2 young children). No wifi throughout stay - instructions not sufficient to connect and management did not assist. No hot water for 3 out of 4 nights stay - again, management did not rectify.
