Its such a peaceful spot by the river. The area is lovely ideal for walks and Alcester is very picturesque. Its a great spot for visiting the surrounding area like Stratford-upon-Avon and Evesham. We had a lovely 3 night break on our way to Manchester. Heron's View is very comfortable and we enjoyed sitting in the gazebo at the end of the garden, looking out over the river. We took our breakfast down there as well as tea! The hosts were very welcoming and provided milk and also eggs freshly laid by their bantam hens. It is perfectly placed ro visit Stratford on Avon and various country houses. Highly recommend.

We loved the place! The hosts were beyond welcoming and kind. They made sure we had everything we needed. It was the perfect place for the middle of our trip. Sitting in the back yard, watching the chickens, listening to the river run past was so relaxing. The hectic, "on holiday" mode was replaced with peace and relaxation. There's a grocery store nearby, so it was nice to make a salad and eat at "home." We would definitely stay here again.

We had a fantastic holiday. Caroline and Paul were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, with everything you could possibly need. We really enjoyed an evening round the fire pit watching the river pass by. The town centre was only a 10 minute walk away. With lots of cafes, restaurants, pubs and a late night shop. We would definitely recommend Herons View. It was perfect. Thank you. Jackie and Julian.

We had a lovely time staying in the cottage. It was a great jumping off point to explore the Cotswolds as well as Stratford-upon-Avon.
Our hosts Caroline and Paul were wonderful and even let us use their dryer after we got caught in a rainstorm in Warwick.
Very relaxing spot and we enjoyed walking through the town of Alcester as well. Beautiful English village. Thank you Caroline and Paul for your hospitality.

Very nice cottage. Clean and well equipped and 10 minutes walking distance to Alcester centre. Enjoyed the use of the owners garden, especially cooling down in the evening next to the river. Nice surprise of fresh eggs for breakfast, supplied by the free range 'girls' in the garden! Would recommend to stay here and explore all the places to visit nearby.

Our first impressions of Heron View was that it was comfortable, very clean and had everything you need for a self catering holiday. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming and the setting is beautiful. It’s a 10 minute walk to Alcester where there are plenty of shops, cafes and pubs.

A haven of Peace and Tranquility.
Hosts were fantastic.
Property was just what we had hoped for.
Comfortable, quiet and had all we needed for our 5 night stay. Could definitely entertain a return but hopefully not during the worst heatwave the country has ever experienced.. no fault of the hosts or the property. Was just bad timing. But even with 100 degree weather, keeping windows closed and curtains closed have us enough respite of a night time to get a good nights sleep.

Beautiful cottage
A beautiful cottage located next to the owners property with ample off street parking. We were met on arrival and given the keys. The property has everything you need and is in a quiet and peaceful location. Use of the garden and gazebo was included and very relaxing sitting at the edge of the river. The hosts were friendly with lots of useful information about the location.
