I took my partner and thier friend to this house and it was a great time. We ended up going up to the mountain and relaxing with a well deserved dip in the hot tub.

Cozy with plenty of room to spread out. Enjoyed the hot tub! Lots of family game time. Close to many great activities.

We had a great weekend stay at this lovely cabin. Peaceful creek right next to cabin and everything was clean and perfectly stocked for us to have an amazing time!

Nice location right on the creek. Close to Mount Hood and activities. We really enjoyed our stay!
A couple of maintenance issues: front right burner on the stove didnt work; outdoor grill was broken; 2 of 4 jets in hot tub didn't function.

We loved the setting!! A forest oasis, still close to amenities.

Beautiful setting with great creek access and all the amenities you need.

We loved this quiet property on the river with wood stove and hot tub. Plenty of seating for everyone with open kitchen. Close to sled parks and Skibowl. Will definitely stay here again!!

Happy to have the hot tub and comfortable beds. The kitchen had all of the things we needed. The location was easy to find and beautiful by the water.

House was great, weather was warm so spent most time on the deck.
Hot tub had a good leak so we had to keep filling it. Fun hanging out by the river and the water felt go good! Kitchen had everything we needed to cook and home is close to restaurants.

Loved the property! Hot tub was fantastic and the creek is beautiful. The house was very well stocked - many kitchen supplies and extra blankets, etc. The only reason I'm not giving a 5 star review is due to the accuracy of the listing - the listing advertises 4 twin beds in the third bedroom, and in reality there were only 3.

This place feels like home. Even though the internet is great here, it’s more fun to shut off the technology and play games, read, and cuddle up with a big blanket and hot cocoa. Coming back for sure.

The location was great for us and the house felt homey? Don’t know how to put it differently but it just felt good:)

The hot tub was broken the whole time which was a huge bummer. Otherwise we really loved the space and the location. The creek was a huge plus, easy to walk to and very peaceful. I am only leaving a 3 star review because of the hot tub and that we received little to no response regarding when it would be fixed.

Great for families.
Wonderful cozy cabin in a beautiful setting. We found it very clean and stocked with everything we needed. The property manager was attentive and took care of issues immediately. We stayed here with our daughter and her family. Children from 1-10 and we all loved it. I would highly recommend this property. We enjoyed it so much we hope to return.

Nice stay
The house was old and charming. We enjoyed the snow. The driveway was dangerous with the ice and on a curve in the road but started melting while we were there.

Ski Weekend
This was a great spot for a ski weekend with friends! The kitchen was well equipped, and the hot tub was lovely. Lots of movies and books, close to the mountain, and plenty of space to spread out!

Poorly maintained exterior
The house was as described. However, NO ONE had ever shoveled the stairs, the deck, the drive, nor the hot tub area. Luckily no one slipped on the stairs going into the front door. I would NEVER rent this house again in the winter. Apparently the landlord does not care if they get sued due to the lack of attention on the outside stairs going to the front door. The hot tub was totally non-usable also!!

Perfect mountain getaway!
Hot tub & fireplace were perfect to keep warm and cozy! Drive time to cosmic tubing wasn't bad at all!

Another relaxing trip
Another relaxing trip in the books! As always a clean house with all amenities ready upon arrival. After catching the first snowstorm of the season at Timberline, we returned to the cabin and unwound in the hot tub and grilled a filling dinner for hungry guests. Looking forward already to our next stay!

Cozy bear house
Definitely has an old cabin vibe going on. There’s bear decorations everywhere. My son loved all the books and toys. Only bummer was the bunk beds (kids room) is downstairs at the opposite side of the house away from the other rooms. So it was not ideal for my 4 year old son to sleep in alone. Would be better for bigger kids.

Well appointed cabin
Our stay was not off to a good start because the power was out and there was no firewood. We did find a working flashlight and eventually got a hold of the management company for more info. That first night was not what we expected, but we got some good laughs. In the morning, and full light, we got to explore the cabin, wander around the property, and enjoy the hot tub! The cabin was super cute with it’s rustic decor and had everything we needed for cooking and being comfortable. The hot tub was so relaxing, even with the pine needles. Overall, this cabin was just what this group of gals needed to unwind and recharge. The downstairs area would make it great for a family vacation home since there are bunk beds, a bathroom, and a tv room (perfect for a kids hangout).
The only big issue, besides the lack of firewood, is a heating vent on the floor by the slider door that is not secured or sturdy. If we had stepped the wrong way coming in, our foot would have easily went through it.

The rental process was professional very easy.

Comfy, nicely furnished secluded cabin
Property was very well maintained and clean throughout. Kitchen was well stocked. Hot tub was clean and a very nice feature. Cabin was very roomy and comfortable and nicely furnished. Only issue was the gas grill need to be cleaned and repaired or replaced. Certainly would recommend

Lovely, quiet stay
We stayed here in May and had the most wonderful time. The property is quiet and secluded, even though it is quite near the main roads. The home is appointed very comfortably and we really can’t say enough about how relaxing our stay was. The kitchen had everything we needed, the house was spacious and we felt safe the entire time.
Due to our rental car being a truck (hard to be picky when that’s all that’s left) and it raining the afternoon of our arrival, we stopped by the property before check-in time to stash our suitcases under the porch. The person who was cleaning the property was nice enough to pull them inside, and when we arrived later we found that they’d hauled the suitcases upstairs! A lovely, very much appreciated gesture.
VRBO was quick to help us with an issue getting the hot tub started upon our arrival (mostly user error) and it worked perfectly for the rest of our stay.
We just loved everything about the property and will be back again :)

Quiet Family Cabin in the Woods
Our family of four loved the private, wooded setting for this family-sized cabin. We enjoyed the multiple, comfortable seating areas by reading, playing cards and watching movies. The hot tub was a wonderful 103 degrees on our 2nd night there, though the temperature controls were not very user-friendly so it was only lukewarm for our 1st and 3rd nights there. The back deck is fabulous, with lots of seating and a BBQ and hot tub. I wish we had been able to stay longer!

Convenient Comfortable and Relaxing stay
Location was great for all we had planned to do. Beds were very comfortable for getting a good nights sleep. Our two grandchildren loved all the toys and stuffed bears. Couldn’t have asked for a better accommodation.

It was wonderful!!
The creek, the beautiful trail along the creek, the hot tub, the relaxing deck, bbq, the bear/wildlife decor, the well appointed kitchen, comfy bedrooms, kids area and cute kids bedroom. And very clean!!

Barlow Creekside Lodge is a great location that is quiet but close to all the activity. The house is well kept and comfortable and has everything you need to relax and enjoy. This is a repeat stay and we look forward to our next trip!

Special space
This was such a special place! Not just the location itself, but the coziness of the home and all the amenities! My partner and I were both in need of a serious break from work and life, and this was just the remedy we needed! Note: we could not figure out to get the hot tub jets to work but the heat worked fine so it was not a bust.

Spacious, comfortable, relaxing
We loved this place! The decor might be a little (charmingly) dated, but it had all the amenities we might need for a quiet retreat. The creek burbling just outside was far more than we could have dreamed of.

Fabulous! Loved it.
It was awesome coming “home” to the house my parents used to own with 4 of my siblings.

Nice family stay at Barlow Creekside Cabin
We had a very enjoyable visit while in the area for a family wedding. Barlow is a special cabin in a special place. Very comfortable & cozy, great kitchen, fireplace, patio & hot tub. Surrounded by trees & the river flowing very close by. We’ll stocked in all areas - games, DVD’s, cable TV, kitchen, bathrooms. WiFi & phone service spotty. Close to some nice restaurants, grocery store & gas. My Hood Village close by & Timberline Lodge about a half hour up the road. Loved our family time there!

Nice Stay
The cabin was very nice. I have stayed in may cabins in the area and would recommend for a large family stay. The location is quite and somewhat secluded. Everything was clean and well maintained.

Love this place!
We meet our kids from Washington here and can’t begin to tell everyone about this place. It was a great visit. Only down side was the hot tub. Otherwise perfect!

Sweet and cozy little cabin
This is a really lovely little cabin. It has a charming vibe, with a big fieldstone fireplace, nicely proportioned rooms, and classic, slightly kitschy (in a delightful way) cabin decor. It’s situated on a sloped lot, right on the river and with heavy tree coverage, so while it’s close to the road, it has a quiet and secluded feel. It was also very clean (though the cleaning service was still there when we arrived at 4:00 to check in, and was there for another half an hour while we waited in the car for them to finish), with no issues with dinginess like some older reviews have noted.
The primary bedroom was very comfortable, with a firm mattress and a sweet little sunroom (though no en suite washroom). It was only my partner and me, so I can’t speak to the comfort of the other bedrooms, though they seemed to maintain a comfortable temperature and were well furnished. It does have a nice layout for a midsized group, with a couple of different common spaces and a decent amount of parking.
The kitchen was better than one typically finds in a rental, and the pots/pans/etc. were totally serviceable. I brought my own Dutch oven, and if I had known, I would have brought some properly sharp knives (the ones in the kitchen were outrageously dull). It’s not equipped for a serious cook, but most rentals are not, and it was still bright and spacious and nice enough to cook some good meals. The washer and dryer were new-ish and functioned well.
The hot tub was a little finicky, but ended up working reasonably well. The internet was quite slow; we wanted to watch movies in the evening after it was dark, and Netflix was a total nonstarter. They had some DVDs, so we weren’t totally out of luck, but the ISP in this area offers much better plans without charging too much more, so I would recommend they consider upgrading the plan (for example, I couldn’t rent this place and work remotely for a week with the current bandwidth, though I’d love to do it if the internet were better).
All in all, this was a nice rental for my partner and I to get out of the city for a few days and just chill. I would absolutely do it again (though I might pack more kitchen equipment next time), and I recommend it to anyone looking for a reasonably priced, nicely appointed place less than ninety minutes from Portland.

Beautiful cabin along the river
Great house/cabin on the river, wooded trail, hot tub, spacious house. Exactly as advertised. Unfortunately, the cleaning person was still cleaning when we arrived at 4pm so we had to wait to enter. He left us with extra cleaning supplies for our trouble so that was nice. Also, many of the dishes had food debris so be sure to check and wash things before you use them. That said, the kitchen was well stocked with cooking gear, there were LEGO’s and games for the kids to play, and sleds to borrow. Aww would definitely return to this secluded spot in a great location. It was only 1 hr from Portland and 30 min to Mt. Hood Meadows ski resort, less to some of the smaller resorts or sledding. I bet it would be fun in summer too.

Great!
Check in was delayed by almost 2 hours. Other than that everything was perfect!

Great house but better for summer getaways
Great spacious house! Beautiful deck and location, but don't expect to enjoy the deck or hot tub if renting during winter months. When we arrived, there was a small path slightly cleared to get to the main and patio entrances, but we were unable to access the hot tub, or anywhere on the deck for that matter. After our attempts to reach the property management company, we decided to shovel a path to the hot tub (from the nearest bedroom window we planned to slither out of), only to find once we got to the hot tub, the water was at room temp at best. And it would not heat up for us. We have made multiple attempts since out stay over valentine's weekend, to reach vacasa to discuss this issue, and never got a hold of anyone. Also, the listing makes the room off the master look like a great sitting room to enjoy the outdoors from the coziness and warmth of the indoors; however, it appears to have been remodeled since the pictures were taken, and the windows are too high up and short to see outside. You can sit out there, but you'll be staring at the wall. The door from that room was also blocked by snow, so the room was not at all enjoyable.
If you're looking for a house to stay while you enjoy the mountain activities, or a summer retreat, this house would be perfect! We would like to rent it again but only during summer months, as there apears to be ample space to sit outside and enjoy the river running through the backyard.

We love this house!
This house has an amazing feeling from the moment you walk in. The woodland decorations are sure to be a hit for all. My children were especially drawn to the stuffed animals found in the downstairs bedroom and lovingly cuddled them until they had to hug each one goodbye. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

The property was great! Perfect if you have kids as well! Unfortunately they forgot to take the hot tub and out of sleep mode so it es cold but they came as soon as we called them and it was heated up within a few hours!! We had a perfect family getaway there. Wished we could have stayed longer .
