Steile Treppe mit schmalen Stufen. Zimmer direkt an Treppe, man hört alle Vorbeigehenden.
Boden im Badezimmer "klebrig". Löcher in der WC-Brille aus Holz wurden geklebt statt die Brille ausgetauscht. Bröckelnde Fliesen.
WLAN funktionierte die halbe Zeit nicht!
Viel zu teuer!

The location is good, 10 minutes walk from the train station, attractions within walking distance. The room is spacious, comfortable, private bathroom.
No staff, no heating and hot water on the first day. On the day of departure I couldn’t leave the key in the locker, couldn’t contact the staff by phone, they didn’t respond to messages for a long time, I almost missed the train. No compensation, just a discount on my next booking which I won't need.

Very comfy rooms and great location.
Cleanliness of the shared bathrooms not that great. There was a bottle cap in the shower early in the morning that was still there later that night. Cleaning of the shower need to improve a lot, especially since its a shared space

The hotel is very close to train station and historical city centre. The reception comunicates online, check in is self service. Everything worked just fine. The room was clean, warm and nicely decorated.
Everything was just fine. I would suggest to add some locker room for luggage after/before check in (now you can just leave your stuff in the hall, which I consider not very safe). However, I really enjoyed my stay.

The size of the room and very clean so very good for a family most hotels want you to buy two rooms very spacious close to the city was ideal

I really liked the location of the hotel. It was close to Edinburgh Waverley Train Station (approx 10 min walking) and Scott Monument (approx 15 min walking). It was quite clean and the staff was really nice, friendly and helpful. There were maps and some brochures with touristic attractions at the entrance which gives you a clue on what are the most important attractions in the area.
The bathroom was a little too small, with not a lot of room to move around; however it was clean.

It was lovely. The staff responded quickly, virtually. We had no problems with the noise or the cold.
Be sure to ask for ground flour rooms if you don’t want to take the long stairs to the last floor. O wish the little dinner hall was open to prepare our sandwiches for the day.

Nothing about the Regent. Still advertising as Hotel B&B for not to get breakfast next morning. The shower was totally disgusting and no one on site
Everything
3.7
self check-in and out
looks old, no receptionist ready to accomodate ur needs and no waiting area
3.7
central location and quiet location
3.7
convenient location, easy access and stay.
heat in bathroom was not on. lack of hooks for towels.
3.7
location was perfect, very well priced
pillows were not that great and bedding was not cotton, that said i would stay again as it was such good value
3.7
it is conveniently located, although it is a very steep downhill walk from the Royal mile. There were many places to eat nearby- to find them just go around the block once!
The biggest disappointment was the price! Nearly $200 a nite for a third floor walk up single bed! The place is in need of a remodel with lots of shabby chic- unintentional! yea. Mold in the otherwise fairly clean accommodation. No soap or toiletries of any kind! There was a soap dispenser by the sink. I had to grab that so which was quite liquid and soap myself up and then get in the shower in order to take a shower because of the lack of amenities. The towel were small and thin, although there was a kettle and tea/coffee if you wanted.
3.7
location, beds were very comfortable
quite outdated, bathroom had an strange bad smell, quite expensive for what is on offer.
3.7
clean and comfortable
could have some chairs in the room.

Great location, close to city centre. Clean, comfortable room.
No staff on duty at the hotel. I explained that I didn't have access to the internet but messages were still sent by email so I didn't get them until after the visit. Very limited tea coffee facilities. Small fridge would be helpful.

Check-in and check-out was very easy. Also short walk to Waverly Station.
We were given the room in the basement which had a bit of unpleasant smell. There was no proper / safe room to leave our luggage upon the check out to continue exploring the system so we had to use paid facilities at the station instead.
3.7
clean and tidy, very well maintained and I to date.
top stairs a little steep
3.7
It was comfortable and good location where we wanted to go to and had a lovely street view the only problem was it would have been nice to have met someone that works there.
That we were in room 15 and had to climb 3 flights of stairs with luggage
3.7
was very clean and comfortable
one lady found the stairs difficult as she struggles with mobility
3.7
close to centre
3.7
Easy check-in.
No chair or table in room.

Decent location, close enough to hop on hop off buses, coffee shop for breakfast and neighborhood pubs
very old and i wouldn’t look to closely for cleanliness.
The heat from the radiator pumped out the heat and you cannot (or we couldn’t) regulate it inside the room.
The note said there was to be a complimentary breakfast with coffee at 7:30 am but that was not true. Never saw or met one hotel staff the entire night or morning
3.7
For our purposes the Hotel was ideally located. Close to the tram line, shopping center, hop-on hop-off stop and the city center. The rooms were clean and suitable for a family of five. We arrived late, the reception was closed but the automated check-in process was quick and efficient. The owner is a really nice person and was really helpful with our requests.
If I really have to pick something negative maybe a little bit more wardrobe space would be nice in the room.
