Extremely friendly and efficient staff, very comfortable room, plenty of hot water and amazing hospitality products provided, bed linen is excellent quality, great choice of tea’s & coffee’s, spring water, games & books to complement good size tv & radio..
Great Menu selection and the Bar has a welcoming open fire.. Unbeatable charm and character a fantastic mid priced Hotel giving a higher quality experience.
There is absolutely nothing not to like about this Hotel

Lovely welcome and very professional. Warm and cosy atmosphere. Room was more than expected and I was delighted. Everything you need for a relaxing stay. Radio playing softly when arriving, tea, coffee machine, biscuits and water. The room had such character, a four poster bed and old typewriter, which alas was the sort I learned to type on! The food in the restaurant was first class and very good value for money. Highly recommend and will definitely return.
Nothing. Loved it.

The overall hotel is excellent and the rooms are far better than you would expect looking at the outside of a heritage type site, the rooms are great, well appointed, clean and comfortable with everything you need and quite modern.

Perfect experience, the hotel is in good location, opposite is a church. The room size is ok, with different theme. A leisure pub downstairs, delicious breakfast. Car parking is easy.

The rooms have been newly renovated and are fantastic and very clean. The cooked breakfast is amazing. The staff (night supervisor, breakfast service, reception) are all very friendly and helpful. I will be coming back.
My room was a bit cold for my liking, and I could not switch on the heating (but one cannot expect the heating to be on in May)

Lovely village location across from the Abbey. Comfortable room attention to every detail superb. Good breakfast helpful, friendly staff.
Nothing negative at all.

Room was very sumptuous and comfortable and other than a little noise from the corridor/room next door, was peaceful and quiet. Lots of parking and we enjoyed a good dinner and breakfast there too. Staff were kind.
It met all expectations so nothing!

Recently refurbished room was comfortable if smaller than expected, although still fine for a couple for one night. Breakfast was excellent, as it has been on the previous occasions we have stayed here, and the beer is very well kept. Good location and lovely walks to the Thames across water meadows
Felt the room was a little small for the price small for the price, and would be probably too small if staying for more than a couple of nights.

The hotel has been refurbished to an excellent standard and very tastefully. The village in which the hotel is situated is beautiful and a lovely place to walk through.
The food in the restaurant was a little overpriced , the service in the restaurant was quite slow , even allowing for staff shortages in the hospitality industry following Brexit , and when an obvious error in omitting some of the main ingredients in a dish we had ordered was pointed out it was merely dismissed with a small apology, not corrected or removed from the bill.

We were in the Jubilee royal suite ('room' 205), with two comfortable double bedrooms. The lounge in particular was nicely furnished and has plenty of room. We went to a concert at the Abbey which is literally just across the road. The village is charming. We did a nice walk down to the river, it looks like there are a number of other nice walks in the area.
I called several times to book, but as the phone wasn't answered I booked online. Cooked breakfast was good, but a little slow. There is a lack of information and pictures of the Jubilee royal suite on their website. I asked if there was a small kitchen (as claimed by another website) and was told it was only a tea point. For the record the kitchen area has a microwave, some cutlery & crockery and a sink, plus a small fridge that didn't appear to be working.
These are minor observations and I would happily stay here again.

Lovely building, food was great and the staff were super helpful and friendly.
Surprised you had shower curtains … really don’t like them and would have expected a fixed panel in a lovely bathroom.

Warm friendly helpful staff at all times. Were very helpful with us when required. Accommodation was generally good throughout
In the double bedroom to have two chairs rather than one would have been better. There was no real lounge space for sitting down and reading etc. only the bar areas in the hotel.
