Lovely hotel. Traditional Scottish air about the place. Really good breakfast. Room was lovely. Handy for castle and town.Stayed here before and would come back again. Good on site parking.

We loved The location, it was close to the castle and lots of historical buildings
Not enough staff for volume of guests, no thought into room allocations and exceptionally small spa area for hotel size, we were extremely unhappy at the lack of clearing and cleaning tables in the lounge, as a family we booked 2 rooms for a 3 night stay and were allocated a connecting room but with strangers, we could only be moved to suitable room on out last night.

No reservations in restaurant at 8pm even tho the lento of vacant tables.

Location and mix of old and new .
Not a big issue but bar staff seemed really busy so tables not cleared and glasses piled up on bar.

Scenery and location to central Stirling is very good with ample vehicle parking. Staff were very polite.
Facilities and rooms are in need of a complete refresh.
8.0
Breakfast convenient and good variety
Flowers beautiful
Waitress very friendly
Front desk staff helpful and kind
Liked the parking lot enclosure, made our vehicle protected
Some breakfast items cold or not held at proper temp, even at 830am some items ran out
Main entrance could be marked better. We came up the street, saw big lettering on building and entered at that back door. Lots of stairs.
You need to figure out a way to ramp the entrance for elderly with wheeled suitcases OR have handsome Scot bellhop ready to lift
Need little fans to check out at front desk. Room a bit stuffy. Window opens very little

Well located in the city, very close to the castle and the city center. Overall good services in the hotel with the swimming pool

The room was spacious with a very comfortable big bed. The car park was easy to acces and we were delighted that it was free. We were also very happy that guests could use the leisure facilities with no difficulties.
The library bar would have been more peaceful without a television. Each room has a television, so this seemed unnecessary.

Stirling Highland Hotel was ideal for reaching all tourist and town attractions. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The room had tea making facilities and towels and linen were excellent.
I reported a fault with the bathroom floor. It was continually damp, as if water was seeping through the tiles. I could see where the tile grout was discoloured. I used some tissues to wipe up the damp and it smelt badly of sewerage. I reported this twice, once when I was in the room and once when I checked out. I didn't get any response , except to say "sorry we will get this looked into to". If it was looked into, I will never know as nobody advised me. I wore my flip flops in the bathroom, rather than walk on the floor. In hindsight I should have requested another room as I became quite ill on the 3rd day. I just would have appreciated that my complaint was taken seriously. It wasn't.

Lovely and generous welcome package.
Good breakfast
Big parking
Stairs & corridors would deserve a refresh.
A minibar would have been hreat to keep the welcome pack cooler

Great position in Stirling between the Castle and the Town Centre
Bar and restaurant seems disconnected from the hotel. Would definitely stay again but would eat out in town

We stayed for our anniversary and the room was very comfortable and very clean. The staff couldn't do enough for us and everyone we spoke to was pleasant and friendly. Once again, would highly recommend.
Couldn't fault anything during our stay.

The hotel is a former high school building, it is big with many rooms, the location is excellent for access to the castle, the Old Town and the Town centre and shops. Breakfast is buffet style with reasonable options. There was a conference on when we were there so the staff were extra busy but in the main, they were very helpful. The room was quiet and comfortable.
Getting access to the location was challenging because of road closures and adjacent road works which was an irritation although outwith their control. Car parking is plentiful and you have to log your reg in the hotel lobby. The hotel is old and there is only one elevator ( I think ) so moving luggage about can be a bit of a bind.

Great location, although Stirling had some major roadworks happening and road closures which made it difficult to find our way to get to the hotel- not the hotel's fault. Very close to the castle. Bed & pillows were very comfortable. Breakfast was good. Wifi good. Reception staff were extremely helpful.
Generous number of carparks available free of charge- just had to register our vehicle at the reception desk- definitely a bonus as central Stirling has very narrow streets.
We booked with a criteria of it being advertised as having an elevator, but found we were allocated a room on a mezzanine level (Level 2) that was between lift floors, so had to carry suitcases up/ down stairs.
Shower was over the bath- not suitable for someone with mobility problems.
No powerpoint beside the bed on either side.

Great service, lovely staff and brilliant facilities and it's not an ugly building without character. I used the swimming pool and sauna. Good breakfast. Lovely location on the hill - great views. (Though if you have bad knees you might better get a taxi all the way to the front door. The street at the front of the hotel has a short stretch of very steep incline.)
At the back of the hotel there are lovely ways along the town wall and the castle is also closeby. Very central location but also very quiet. Very happy overall with my stay!
Nothing to add here! Very happy overall. I had late check out as I had the deluxe room package but even normal checkout is at 11am.

Free On site city centre parking; large room; friendly staff; great breakfast in the morning; great value for what we paid.
Stay was fine. Nothing we didn't like (except the constant rain but that's not hotels fault 😁😁)
