Decent value for the money. Great location.
I’d have preferred more showers.

location was very good ...handy to all atttractions
bit Noisy from main street

500m to station. Walk to castle and sights. Restaurants and big shopping center close by. Spacious room and view of street. Comfy bed, shelving. Ok if you are not too fussy
TV only works thru web apps. A foreigner would not know how to sign in to BBC iPlayer nor would they have an account. Front desk said they did not know how to work nor was anyone available. Only one shower for all rooms on floor

Location was central, the room had adequate heating, the kitchen and living room areas seemed nice
( I hope I am wrong with this one but I will tell what I think anyway) : The receptionist (M) told me on the 2nd evening of my stay that my there was a problem with my booking, that my booking agent had made a mistake and booked only for one night. He said he has spoken to the owner to let me stay if I pay him. I said its impossible because I booked through booking.com. He asked me to show the receipt I showed him emails and said I have a printed confirmation that I could bring. He asked me to send screenshots on Whatsapp, I said I wasn't comfortable sharing my number so he took picture from his phone. He said I hope you weren't offended, but to be honest it all sounded a lie to get a tourist to pay more. When I came back with the printed confirmation, he said he is sorry but the error was with some other customer who had left and showed me from a distance a Whatsapp conversation in his phone with the "owner" apparently saying I was okay and the problem had been with other customer. All of this sounded hoax to me and a way of extracting money because on the first evening itself he knew I had my booking for 2 nights. I highly doubt his claims and the matter should be looked into by the owners.
The 2nd bathroom of the floor I was on was dirty-all toilets. My dorm didn't have any dustbin. The receptionist didn't give me pillow covers and bedsheets on arrival. I also had to separately ask him for toilet paper.

even though there was no staff around in any of the days I was there, the place was relatively clean. the location is good during the day however, at night, you are right next to pubs and can be tricky to sleep.
nothing like the pictures, it is deserted with no staff around. you are supposed to call them when you arrive. I wanted to talk to them to try and arrange a second night (30£ per night for a 8 beds shared room, unfortunately it would still be cheaper than the other accommodation in town) but no one pick up the phone. called several times until I gave up and went back to Glasgow. oh wifi in the building does not work. finally it is hard to sleep at night because the place is next to a pub.

In my opinion, this hotel owner must be ruthless, which is good to know in the sense of purposefully avoiding them.
I booked a non-refundable room. However I got Covid and had to self-isolate. I contacted the hotel a few days before my booking to ask if the dates could be moved and I was happy to pay a fee. They ignored my email and did not respond. I then called Booking.com customer service who emailed the hotel, the hotel ignored that communication too. Finally Booking.com called the hotel and it was at this point they declined my request. I appreciate the non-refundable stance, but I think the madatory isolation due to covid is exceptional and I contacted the hotel well in advance offering to pay a fee to switch the dates, but they just ignored me and took the money. I think the ethos demonstrated by Willy Wallace Hostel goes against the spirit of the hospitality and travel industry.
Fortunately, Booking.com gave me a travel voucher for my next hotel stay because they believed I was treated unfairly by this hotel.

I like you can make your own food
I don't like when you can't watch the news or any other thing and when someone keeps taking your staff
2.0
the location the staff
telly didn’t work in room and only 1 curtain kept awake till 5 in the morning as near a nightclub and people hanging about all night and shouting won’t be staying again

very comfortable mattress, 2 pillows which is always appreciated, I was warm enough and the staff were great about getting me last minute access, as I arrived late and had to stay overnight unexpectedly. Also lite real around the corner from the train station which was very convenient.
The room itself wasn’t very clean, it was quite dusty on the surfaces, stuff from previous guests still on the floor and under the beds like a dirty sock, bottle caps, empty product boxes, also hair on my clean pillowcases.

Location was good
Everything else, was dirty, reception staff were never around and had a couldn't care less attitude, communal room was locked at 8 pm. Beds were uncomfortable and kitchen was barely usable
4.0
Helpful staff and comfortable beds
Couldn't access the kitchen until 8.15 on Saturday morning.
City centre location is really convenient but very noisy at night, earplugs definitely needed

Good clean kitchen.
Ok so this was a cheap stay, but I still think there should be a curtain in a room overlooking the main street. The single sheet we were given to cover the window was fairly useless.

she was gorgeous, nice and super good very respectful and helpful office girls.
I didn't like the time because it was short and I had to leave.
1.5
The location.
Staff do not care for the client.
We did not have toilet paper.
Bathroom were really dirty (hairs, dust, toothpaste in the sink, soap everywhere ...)
No lockers and the lock for the room was broken but staff did like nothing ... I discovered it by myself and when I told them they were like “yes we know” but ... then it is totally dishonest first bc they let me think it was working, 2nd because they do not do anything about it.
