The staff member we spoke to on arrival and check-out - Liz - was lovely, so talkative, friendly and informative. The room was also a good size for us, meeting our basic needs for the trip, and it was easy to get around from this location.
The building was quite noisy, so we woke up often during the night because of other guests talking in the corridor and doors closing.
The bed was also quite firm and the shower cubicle was rather claustrophobic.
The room became very cold at night and in the morning too, despite our having a high temperature set on the radiator, so we don’t know if it was turned off centrally.

Basic but good enough for our 2 night stay , comfortable beds . Convenient for purpose of our visit , Joe was very helpful and couldn’t do enough for us
Bit tired in furniture department and shower ran a little hot and cold but nothing major

Location was good for attending concert at the Hydro, only a 15 minute walk. Room was very clean and spacious and staff were pleasant and helpful.
Parking on the street is expensive, 80p per 15 minutes (no charge between 6pm and 8am) so we used the multi-storey a short distance away although it was quite difficult to find. The water system in the en-suite was very noisy.

the place has an old school decor that is quite charming.
in our room, flushing, or using the bathroom at all, made a quite noticeable water pump type noise frequently and consistently.

The staff at the Kelvingrove Hotel were extremely kind, friendly and helpful so you can expect a very pleasant and heartwarming welcome which we sure did! We really scored a bargain with our room's pricing and you really get what you paid for! Very happy and overall good experience. If you need any assistance, the staff will be more than willing to help you! A great hotel for if you're on family vacation and want to explore your nearby surroundings. Lots of restaurants and things to see here! As someone who is autistic, it is mandatory for me to "stim". This allows me to unleash and get rid of overwhelmed or negative emotions and feelings. Stimming allows me to feel happy and deal with negative thoughts and emotions better. This also means I need enough space to be able to walk and move around freely in order to stim. I was so happy to see our hotel room had enough space and was big enough for me to stim in and keep me happy during my stay even at our room's low pricing!
The only two things I probably didn't like were the room's ventilation and the cramped toilet which had a very noisy water tank or something along those lines but these could very well just be personal nitpicks and can vary depending on the individual and pricing of each room so keep this in mind. For example, if you're a bigger human like myself, you may find it more difficult to use the toilet comfortably as it's a tiny bathroom space and your leg easily bumps into the sink/cabinet near the toilet, preventing you from sitting straight. Other than that, the bathroom was fine. As for the ventilation, the room would still be hot or rather warm even if the radiator was off and cold. It didn't feel like fresh air was entering the room via any vents near the window. This was mostly an issue at night since neither of us were comfortable leaving the window open while we were sleeping since this was on a floor very close to the road. However, as stated earlier, these could just be personal nitpicks and experiences may vary on room pricing and individual person.

Brilliant duty manager (liz) very helpful & welcoming.
The only negative thing I could say was about the noise plumbing.

I was looking forward to a good night sleep after a very long journey from down south. I travelled up to visit family from Australia and my whole day has been ruined as I was too tired to get involved in a planned activity.

Extremely friendly welcome in arrival by Joe. Our room was upgraded as they had a bigger one available which was an unexpected surprise. Room was clean, warm and comfortable - great value. All of the staff we met were lovely and we will definitely book again when in Glasgow

Joe and the ladies in the breakfast room were exceptionally helpful and friendly. They remembered and greeted us each day. The breakfast was wonderful with many choices and everything was hot and served quickly. We were able to walk to many of the things we wanted to see, and found great places to eat. Easy to reach by bus, and Joe arranged a taxi for us when we were ready to leave. Definitely a great experience in Glasgow!

The hotel personell and the location were fantastic - always a smile and nice greeting going past the reception. There are countless shops, pubs and restaurants in the direct vicinity.
They seem to have a problem with water drainage, at least in our room - the horrible noise from the pump whenever using the water, was very loud. More detail could have been put into cleaning, especially in the bathroom.

Great location, clean, comfortable, quiet, hearty traditional Scottish breakfast! But the real charm of this property was the staff. During our stay Joe was on duty. He was exceptionally personable and delightful. He effortlessly provided welcoming hospitality, as if you were in his own home. Thank you Joe for the wonderful stay! Joe made Glasgow one of our favorite places to visit!!

We booked a double room for the night and upon arrival our room had been upgraded which was a pleasant surprise.
The only issue was the room was cold and the radiator wasn't working.

Liz (the manager on duty when we stayed) was very informative and so welcoming when we arrived. She gave us directions to where we were heading during our stay and she was very thorough when telling us details about our stay at the hotel. The room was cosy and clean, there was complimentary tea and coffee as well as a kettle which was great. The bed was comfy and the fact that there was a tv in the room was a great plus. We were heading out that night and there was a seating area with a mirror which was fantastic.
To be honest there isn’t much that I could say regarding improvements. The only slightly negative thing we noticed was that the plumbing is fairly loud when the toilet is flushed etc but even that wasn’t too bothersome.
