We like everthing in the hotel. It is beautiful and each common area are lovely. Breakfast is nice with many menus. All bread and croissant are perfect. Staff are all nice and very helpful.
Only thing we found that is not ok is the noice of running around at late night time from kids upstair because of the wooden floor of building is quite old as it is. We told staff to ask upstair room to ask kids not running. Staff is very helpful and try their best to assist.

Location.
Garden
Booked for honeymoon first night as romantic idea of baths advertised.. Room smelt strongly of urine ( dogs on curtains?)
Absolutely not as described ( side by side baths with roll top in fact disabled room with seated shower!!! Not romantic at all!
Had to go to main hotel to order room service and get milk requested from staff but not delivered 2 hours after ordering
Very very slow breakfast service
Ridiculously expensive for very low quality. So many better places in Cotswold for half the price!

The location and building are perfect, the weather too! Lovely friendly and helpful staff. The grounds were very nice and the outside seating area outside the front of the house was really nice and gets the sun pretty much all day!
In relation to our friends, I know one upgraded but the others didn't our room was pretty small in comparison and the bathroom too. I noticed a body hair in the bath, not ours as we hadn't used the bath at that point. Also the trim on the bottom of the shower screen was pretty manky and torn... Also slightly disconcerting is the hole under the door to our room - Stow. Otherwise we had a lovely stay with you and don't normally complain. If we hadn't had friends with us we wouldn't have known how small our room was, it was adequate but when you pay the same price, it's not so OK!

spacious rooms, location, decor and service was great.
a bit slow and forgetful on breakfast service.

The grounds are absolutely gorgeous as you approach the property. We loved the staff who were ever helpful. The food was great, we loved the snooker and what a lovely area to walk around… bourton on the water is only a 20/25min walk away. We also like that breakfast is included it’s annoying at other establishments of the same ilk who charge for breakfast when you are paying a lot per night.
The price of drinks is really high - more expensive than most London restaurants and bars. Two alcoholic drinks cost us £45. Otherwise can’t fault it.

Fantastic hotel in a great location Our room had its own private garden and two baths. Food was good quality and well prepared. Staff were all very efficient and friendly.
The room pricing structure was a little on the high side. But I knew that when I booked.

Beautiful grounds and surrounds. Spacious rooms.
Everything was slightly grubby (carpets, furniture in lounge areas). Bar was uninviting. Rooms were dusty. Beds were too soft. Staff were friendly but it felt understaffed.

welcome on arrival was none existent, surly and abrupt.

very thick dust on coffee table,
room door security awful.
35 mins wait for a drink in the bar

No air conditioning. Restaurant service quite slow.

Excellent breakfast, great choice and wonderful location with amazing quality ingredients.
Our room was a great size (suite), however the bathroom could do with updating, however very comfortable room and clean. We bought 2 hot chocolates and one coffee for £22, which even living in London, we thought was completely outrageously priced.

fantastic staff with amazing attention to detail and gorgeous room
nothing at all

The location and setting was very pleasing, the staff very friendly.
We had a lovely breakfast both mornings.
Although we had a deluxe suit the bathroom was tired and dated.

Excellent breakfast and dinner. The staff made us feel very welcome. Beautiful location.
The window in the bathroom (beautiful stone) had a bit of mildew on it. One radiator was not working, fortunately the others were strong enough that it didn't matter.
Most guests at the restaurant were in smart dress (dinner jackets) in the evening. I would have been very happy to also wear smart, however I don't remember any communication telling me this ahead of time.
