The grounds for the dogs were amazing and we all enjoyed our walks around the fields. Lovely little welcome pack of milk and chocolate biscuits which went down a treat.
The shower leaks quite a lot which soaks the bath mat. Unfortunately this didn't dry in between days so it was very soggy by the end of the week. More towels/bath mat would help with this

Excellent location ideal for all our favourite places
Overall lovely property, cleanliness could have been better

Location was fabulous - 5 minute drive from the nearest village. Had a huge field - perfect for walking the dog morning and evening. Easy driving distance from all the popular Cotswolds villages - the Slaughters, Bourton on the Water, etc. Great sized rooms - easily accommodated 4 adults and a dog.

Location is perfect for everything in the Cotswolds. Then when you get home you sit and contemplate your life choices and wonder why you couldn’t end up with a view and fields like this in your town. It was breathtaking.
Erm, really struggling here as so many things exceeded my expectations. Value for money, space, decor, location. I’d br stretching to say one of the sofas was ever so slightly uncomfortable but i’m only saying that because it was a 7/10 and everything else was 10/10.

Vicky and her family have gone above and beyond to make their holiday home feel as though it’s a perfect mix of country with modern facilities. The house was absolutely perfect for a group of 4 people and our two springer spaniels, who had plenty of room to run around within the 10 acres of land the house is set in. The house is clean and comfortable with lots of different amenities included. Vicky has out done herself with her list of recommendations based around local attractions, walks, and places to eat. Although Vicky and her family live right next door, they were absolutely excellent hosts and privacy was never an issue and Vicky was always on hand should anything be needed during your stay.
Nothing within the house caused us any problems at all, just a couple of minor points to be raised:
- shower screen did leak slightly whilst being used but not a huge issue and nothing that couldn’t be wiped up!
- our dogs have raw food which has to be kept frozen and the freezer is located within the fridge in a top compartment and is very small but again it was really not a big deal and we made it work but something to bare in mind if you’re staying for longer than a few days.

A terrific location and in a beautiful setting. Lovely, comfy and welcoming cottage. Plenty of space and gorgeous views from all windows. Had an issue with the heating, which the host quickly and efficiently provided solutions.
Nothing, it was all wonderful.

Our stay at Far Hill Cottage was terrific. The location was perfect and
we were able to visit many attractions and pubs. Everything was there in
the cottage and we had a wonderful time. We would book again at any time.

The cottage was quite big which was lovely. It was clean & very comfortable.
I had been travelling for 5 weeks before arriving at the cottage & desperately needed to do some washing. It would have been nice if there was a clothes dryer.

Perfect location to visit the Cotswold villages. The cottage is well appointed and very comfortable. It is easy to find if you pay attention to the instructions, although some of our party managed to drive past it four times and had to be rescued.
The almost complete absence of noise, apart from a few passing cars, was most welcome.
The kitchen crockery had to be washed before it could be used and also on a number of occasions after using the dish washer. This was a minor irritation and did not detract from our stay.
The leather sofa in the setting room, although still usable, is approaching the end of its useful life.

A gem of a cottage in a tranquil rural location. Tastefully decorated throughout. Our host had given great care to the needs of her guests and her welcome note was very helpful and informative. Living room was sumptuous with deep comfortable sofas, The kitchen was very well equipped with thoughtful touches added which made us feel welcome. The beds were extremely comfortable with top quality linens. The cottage had everything we could have hoped for and had good responsive WiFi. All in all I would rate this property 5*.
Nothing - we loved the property.

Spotlessly clean throughout
Fab location peaceful but near to other places to explore like Bourton on the Water , Stow on the Wold & Clarksons Diddly Squat Farm
Excellent all round 😎👍

good location to explore cotswolds. self contained and had everything we needed for our holiday

It was a lovely quiet location set on the outskirts of Broughton on the Water ( about 5 - 10 minutes drive ) - directions given by the host were spot on as long as your read them properly ( which I did ) really big outdoor space for playing and walking. Indoors there was everything you needed in the kitchen and a very comfortable living room to relax in, the beds were very comfortable ( I drove over 200 miles so a good night sleep was needed ). Very useful to have a toilet upstairs and down.
Nothing I didn't like - just to note there is nothing in walking distance ie pub or shops but I would guess most if not all guests would have their own transport and all necessary amenities, venues etc were in easy driving distance.

location and views
A lot: tired, webby, hazardous (tools lying around outside with broken play equipment surrounded by nettles rubbish stacked up not sealed off, inside dining chairs and table ready to collapse wobbling away and sofas fit only for the dogs nearly ended up on the floor more than once), no privacy from owners with shared grounds, strong mouldy damp smell on arrival so we had to keep all the windows open for the duration of the stay to air out, dirty crusty kitchenware so bad you couldn’t get them clean which made self catering an unpleasant and exhausting experience. Overall didn’t want to spend a minute longer than necessary here.

The location is perfect for getting about in The Cotswolds. The cottage grounds are perfect, especially for walking our family dog. The views from the walks in the grounds of the cottage are lovely. We spotted a deer one morning on our walk.
Only negative if considering a stay would be the cottage itself showed areas of being a little tired.
4.6
Spacious and comfortable with lovely grounds. Convenient for local attractions and villages.
Decor, furnishings and crockery becoming just a little tired in places, but did not detract from our stay.
