Enjoyable and relaxing

The Riviera is in an excellent location,directly opposite the beach ,very near to a lovely pub and close to the pier and Terminus Road where there are shops and great local restaurants.In addition to the location the staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly.

Pleasant but could have been amazing.

Excellent location and the staff were pleasant and helpful. Room was well maintained and reasonably comfortable.

As with most seaside hotels they just need a bit of love. Biggest issue was thin curtains or that did nothing to block the sun. It was like a greenhouse warm and bright at 5am. The fan was very welcome!

I think it was really bad we had be moved rooms as the tolite flooded we then got moved to another room were the bath room sick was cracked in 2 places we had window to look outt of but to look at wall

Decent price in a good seafront location

There was a sea view, it’s close to the pier, and the breakfast was good (including vegetarian sausages). The bed was comfy.

The hotel needs some work, a bit run down. There was one member of staff on duty doing several jobs and she seemed a little sad. The music at breakfast was inappropriate: screeching guitar solos. My room was right by a fire door that banged every time anyone went in or out. It could be adjusted to close quietly.

Great value for the money!

Good value for the money if you’re looking basically for a bed to sleep at night. Not many frills, but staff is super helpful, the rooms are clean, they will put items in the fridge for you at reception, and they will provide you with a fan upon request. Easy to walk from and to train station and town centre and very close to pier.

We had a pleasant stay.

Pleasant stay near the sea

Beautiful location opposite the sea. Very clean. Bed fairly comfortable. Staff were pleasant and professional. Nice that there was a fridge in our room. Nice in the bar in the evening.

Bit difficult to climb into the bath to have a shower, nothing to hold on to. The shower holder on the wall was loose and wobbly. The breakfast was quite good but my friend said that her vegetarian option was very sparse. Only half a tomato and one vegetarian sausage, plus two small hash browns. My son complained about insufficient electric sockets in the room.

Comfortable and good value for money.

Clean, comfortable hotel, centrally located and at a very reasonable price. Breakfast wasn't included but it was available at a fair price and was very good.

The hotel has no car park and street parking nearby was very busy.

Clean and comfortable but quite basic. Mid week in the middle of the school holidays perhaps I was expecting more atmos

It had a good location breakfast was ok - decent size (average quality)

when we arrived in the early evening it looked like it was closed and all the lights were off. no one was about and we needed to wait for 10 minutes for the reception desk. bit frustrating that it looked like they was next to nobody staying there yet we had a room at the back of the hotel overlooking the street and not the seafront. to be fair that’s probably because there were three of us.

Very good

The view was amazing. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was comfortable.

There was spilt tea on the windowsill but not a big issue. The lift wasn't working but that wasn't a problem.
