A useful place to stay where we were made welcome

Breakfast was good, we helped ourselves to food and drink. Bed was comfortable. It was delightful to sit out in the garden.

The parking was a little more challenging than usual, but worked out fine right outside the front door.

Lovely guesthouse, reasonably priced, and very helpful staff

The staff were lovely. We were going to a 50th birthday party in a private house a few miles away and they very kindly gave us a lift there. The room was nice and felt like a suite. Breakfast is a simple continental breakfast but it was fine. We didn't spend much time at the property but it was perfect for our needs.

Just right for our one night stay in Romsey and very quiet overnight.

Successfully walked into Romsey for the evening. It took 20 minutes and used footpaths rather than main roads.

Would really have preferred to be right in Romsey town but there was nothing available.

Comfortable and pleasant without being outstanding.

Decent self service breakfast. Clean and nicely decorated room. All amenities that one would expect.

Bathroom was very cramped and dark. Only 1 single light - above the shower, which meant that when using the wash basin, I was in shadow and unable to see well enough to shave properly. Really needs a light above the basin and mirror in that bathroom! Basin was very awkward to use as the shelf was immediately above it, so only half the basin accessible. And no plug, so had to shave in running water which was not ideal.

Would consider staying again if we were in the area

Breakfast was fine and location was what we needed.

The room was clean and all decorated but the en-suite was a little small. Having got out of the shower there wasn't much room to dry off and I'm not big.

Very good location for my friend & I to visit my aunt & surrounding area

The rooms were lovely & spacious with extra comfortable seating & controllable heating. Having a fridge in the room with fresh milk & water was particularly great. Hostess Julia(sorry don’t know her surname) provided a wonderful array of help yourself breakfast items including yoghurts,fruit,toast & cereals. She was an interesting character & extremely chatty!

Welcoming & friendly hostess, lovely room and facilities, very clean, very good value for money.

Very welcoming and friendly hostess who made us feel at home. Independent entrance with lovely sitting and breakfast areas. Very clean and good attention to all detail. Lots of little 'extras' which added to a lovely stay. Very good value for money.

I don't often stay in hotels, this was one of the better ones.

Comfortable bed, mini fridge, good wifi - electronic facilities. Charming hostess.

Parking. Flashing smoke alarm in room. No dish washer (I wouldn't have brought it up, but one was offered in the room description). Thin walls.

For £150 a night, we would expect the host to iron the bed linen and offer a decent breakfast.

The location was ideal for our trip. We just needed a bed for one night while visiting friends who lived nearby.

The room was dated and the facilities quite basic, with random furnishings and no bedside table or shelf. The bed linen was not ironed which is just unacceptable. The bath towels weren’t great either and no hand towels available. Breakfast was again very basic, continental and self service, absolutely nothing homemade and no nice touches to make it at least interesting, especially if not prepared to cook for guests.

Cosy, homely and relaxing

Wonderful host, wonderful room. We got the deluxe double suite and it was so cosy! Had everything we needed!

Honestly, the only thing we would say is pint glasses for water, but that's only because we're used to having a pint glass of water next to us for bed.

Spotlessly clean and a lovely house.

Room and house very clean. We had access to garden and outside seating seating which was great because the weather was hot.

Host was very full on. Talked at you not with you and it was hard to leave as she kept talking. We made a polite exit!!
