Basic cottage, beautiful location.
Excellent location, great WiFi.
Extremely cold - heating was controlled remotely by the owners and only came on briefly twice a day, this is the coldest I've ever been in a holiday home. At times I found myself clinging to the heated towel rail for warmth. Although it had a nice bathroom, the rest of the facilities in the cottage seemed extremely basic (apart from the WiFi) and there were no welcoming touches whatsoever. There wasn't even a pot of salt to use or a roll of clingfilm. It all felt very functional. This cottage has a garden which could be lovely with some TLC. The cracked glass in the shed window looked potentially hazardous, especially for anyone with young children running about. The cottage is advertised as dog friendly, but when you arrive there are instructions asking you to keep your dog downstairs. I understand that there are cream carpets upstairs, but I would not have booked this cottage if this had been made clear in the advertisement, as this is not my idea of 'dog friendly'.

Could be so much better with some thoughtful touches and enough heating.
Excellent location for walking. Pretty views. Cottage with character. Quiet. Lovely jigsaws and books. Excellent wi fi.
The downstairs heating was inadequate for the winter, just one radiator that blasted out the heat, but the heat was all just sucked upstairs due to the position. An additional stand alone radiator was provided, but did not work. The log burner was lovely and just kept us warm enough if kept fully stoked, however only enough wood for one fire for a couple of hours was very poor, especially in a location at least half an hours drive from any shops. A lack of extra touches meant the place felt soul less. No rugs, no scatter cushions, no chairs in bedrooms or bathrooms. No dishwasher tablets (very annoying). No coffee.no curtains/blinds in kitchen. No instructions provided for anything in the cottage, until randomly, on day 3 of our stay, a booking.com email arrived with all info.

Very comfortable and fantastic location
Very well equipped cottage. Had everything we needed for a lovely stay. Really enjoyed spending time in the garden and exploring the local area. Neighbors lovely! Liked the board games and books and choice of garden furniture. Fantastic shower.
No information about the cottage itself, for example how to work heaters. No information about local pubs and things. I was happy to pay, but definitely paid for the location, the cottage was lovely but not massive.

Very nice indeed!
The location was fantastic, facilities great and everything was made easy for us. Lovely experience and base camp for lovely walks... Very greatful thank you.
Bed was a bit uncomfy, fire didn't give out much heat but a lovely touch. And parking was a potential issue but over the road allowed us to park there after a polite conversation.
